Dr. Sellman was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to understand my recovery goals and give me advice and exercises to help with my recovery. A wonderful doctor.

If you have kids who appreciate a doctor who doesn’t just talk to the parents, but looks at them when talking to them and makes them feel heard, Dr. Sellman is your guy. Two of our kids have needed to see him at different times for different sports related injuries and he was great with each of them.

Trusted and knowledgeable. Very patient and clear with his explanations and treatment options. Second to none!

Dr. Sellman was amazing when treating my daughter. He took his time to examine every part of her xray and conduct a detail physical exam. He did not rush the visit and took his time to ensure her condition and diagnosis were accurate. I would truly recommend ANYONE looking for a sport medicine physicain in the Tampa bay area. Thank you again Dr. Sellman :)

Dr. Sellman was punctual, personable and professional. He is a good listener and gets you in and out quickly. The office is nicely laid out with pleasant staff.

He is easy to talk to with and very nice scene of humor. He answers all questions and listened to what are your concerns and not in hurry to go to the next patient. I highly recommend Dr Sellman

He was really great with my 84 year old mom. She didn't even realize that he had just injected her knee (of course, later on ,she felt the aftermath) ...now that's saying something! I’ve been seeing Dr Sellman for the past 5 years. He is the best Orthopedic doctor he listens to you and explains everything. He has a wonderful personality which makes it so easy to talk to him about other achy issues, in which you may have and he may address them for you in the future. The staff was efficient and well organized. The medical assistant was very helpful in getting me prepped for my visit with the doctor. Dr. Sellman is engaging, he listened to my concerns, and provided the appropriate treatment that will hopefully help me recover from a sports injury in a shorter period of time.

Caring , concerned and knowledgeable. Makes you feel at ease even through the pain.

Dr. Sellman was great. He listened to me about my problem and was adamant that we find a solution to it as well as asked questions to better understand the problem. I was also able to have an x-ray done same day with a follow up conversation with Dr. Sellman.

I would stay away from Dr Sellman. We had a very bad experience. Not only was it a misdiagnosis but the correct one was sitting in the MRI write up from the Radiologist all along. Took us six months afterwards to finally get on track and past the pain after finding the help of another doctor.

dr. sellman,is the BEST ortho.i have ever been to.i race motorcycles and have for the past 45 years .have been to atleast 30 or more doctors and NOT 1 of them compare to the quality and friendly care i get from him and complete staff. thanks doc see ya soon

I've seen an overwhelming number of doctors throughout my life and few have compared to Dr. Sellman. His ability to interact with me as a patient speaks wonders to how knowledgeable and caring he is as a provider. I have seen Dr. Sellman twice. He is an awesome doctor. I first saw him when I went to the FOI emergency clinic in south tampa in acute knee pain. He asked all the important questions to diagnose and really listened to what I had to say which resulted in his giving me a cortisone shot (that I didn’t even feel he did such a great job), and which Within 8 hours fully removed all my Immediate pain. He ordered the appropriate tests (MRI), had me for for a Soft knee brace and I left my first visit thinking that he was terrific. I just left my follow-up apt with him, and had an equally great experience. He fully reviewed my MRI results with me, drawing lots of pictures for me to aide in his explanation and Prescribed physical therapy, if needed. I rarely write doctor reviews, but in his case I felt compelled to do so. His bedside manner is excellent, he’s funny, and most important he’s a great doctor who listens to and fully explains diagnosis/instructions to his patients. His staff is also terrific so it was a pleasure, as when visiting a doctor this is not always the case. I highly recommend Dr. Sellman for an orthopedic issue not requiring surgery, or as your first line of defense for any orthopedic issue to determine if surgery will or will not be necessary! He can determine the appropriate course of action for you. And in those cases where diagnostic tests ( that he orders) show that surgery would be necessary, he will make the best referral for you to the appropriate orthopedic surgeon In the FOI practice for your specific issue. Absolutely the best doctor to which I have ever been. He truly listens to your problem and determines the best solution. He seems to really care about his patients, and answers your questions.

I normally go to the Dale Mabry office but today I made the trek to Brandon so I could see Dr. Sellman. His knowledge, experience, and personality make it worth it! I have been going for at least 6 years and never have found him too busy to answer my questions, and explore options for treatment, I highly recommend Dr. Sellman. Note: My son is an Orthopedic surgeon, who practices and lives in Sarasota. He recommended that I find a local Ortho for those issues that pop up. Having my son as a sounding board about my visits with Dr. Sellman further instill confidence in Dr. Sellman and his abilities!

Excellent doctor, concerned and very helpful.

Dr. Sellman treated my knee when I was injured. He is very professional and funny at the same time. He wants you to be out of pain as fast as he can. The wait time is short. X-rays, MRI's and therapy are located in the same building which is very convenient. The staff is friendly and professional too.

Very disappointed. He was quite arrogant for starters. Gave me no information about my condition or options available. Misdiagnosed my problem that was obvious on the MRI mainly because he wasn't listening to what I was saying. Then refused to give me a referral to a surgeon when all I wanted was more information.

AVOID! He spent no time to review my chart or xrays. Barely spent 5 minutes in the exam room, refused to exam, and blamed my previous diagnosed issue on his opinion that I was too fat and "just needed to lose weight". Was given no diagnosis or treatment other than a pamphlet to a medical weight loss clinic. Office failed bill my insurance and demanded full payment at the end of the visit. Absolutely terrible to not get treatment and to be fat shamed for seeking medical treatment for something so routine. AVOID! He spent no time to review my chart or xrays. Hi. I think Dr Spellman is a great Dr. Wonderful sense of humor and always Willing to listen. No complaints whatsoever.

Dr. Sellman is fantastic! He is not going to push you into anything that is not needed. He finds the very best treatment options for you. (Or your child in my case)

I have been seeing dr sellmen for three years. I have had nothing but wonderful treatment .from him.. He is always kind takes plenty of tome with me and most of all has helped me tremendously. What a such a great experience. I have had a sport injury with daily pain for over 9 month, and I was told by other doctors, there is nothing can be done other than surgery. Dr. Sellman diagnostic and treatment were spot on, I got better, and back into playing sports in less than two months. Thanks you! Dr. Sellman.

Dr. Sellman is an amazing Dr. He has guided me successfully through a torn labrum shoulder and femoral stress fracture. In both cases he gave the perfect combination of knowledge and caring. I have recommended him to many!

He is up front and he was great.

Dr. Sellman exceeded my expectations on all facets. Great personality, great listening, great explanations, and he genuinely cared about the amount of pain I was in and didn't let me leave the office without some relief and a plan to remedy the pain permanently. I have been an athlete in many sports all my life, and Dr. Sellman is an athletes doctor. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision to make him my athletic primary care doctor!

Very disappointed with office. Called me one hour before my visit to cancel. Said they thought I should see another doctor without ever speaking with me!
