Dr. Jeffry Brian Potash

Went in for a simple diagnosis of IBS, came away with being made fun of, questioned on other diagnoses that were irrelevant to the visit. I was reduced to tears. Will never go back. Would NOT recommend.

I’ve had a good experience with Dr Potash. He is thorough, responsive and quick to reach out with results. He will throw a joke or two at you to keep things light, I personally appreciate that. My native language is Spanish and he will sustain a Spanish conversation with me, I wouldn’t say he is fluent, but he is pretty good and makes effort. Funny fellow, Knowledgeable and thorough Doctor. Dr. Potash is one of the most delightful medical professionals. He is caring, a terrific communicator, and goes the extra mile to make his patients comfortable. While being an excellent technician, I eventually found that Mr. Potash is a poor specimen of a human being. He is one of the most arrogant and rudest persons I have even met, both to his patients and his staff. He is in addition a clever thief, who stole property of mine and than lied that I had given it to hm. It is quiet valuable, and he still has it. That is to say, he is VERY unethical and full of cruel remarks about both his staff and patients. I finally grew weary of his obnoxious behavior, and fired him. For any and/or all of the obvious reasons, I could never recommend him to anyone as a gastroenterologist. The one star I gave him is not my true feeling. Given the option, I would rate his overall behaviour toward his patients and staff (and me) as -11. Thank you. Dr Potash saved my life! I am forever grateful for all he has done. He is misunderstood as being rude when he just says it the way it is. He has a dry sense of humor and I never looked at him as rude... just honest. I can’t judge competence, so this is based solely on my interaction as a patient. This doctor has a history of saying/doing things most would consider strange/inappropriate for a medical doctor. The degree of this strangeness would lead me to guess there may be some underlying condition making it difficult for the doctor to read social queues. If there were another gastroenterologist in the area, which there is not, I’d certainly chose that other doctor.

Horribly located at the back of a house in the cellar. There are no walkways leading from the front of the house to the back. It feels like you're in a basement, and certainly, not a doctor's office. It would be difficult to maneuver a wheelchair up and down the cemented path leading to the office Very unhappy staff, unfortunately. And since when do you have to take your shirt off and sit in your bra and underwear for an exam? Without anything to cover yourself with like a johnny? Dr. Potash has an affliction that is common to some doctors that act one way to patients, and another way to the staff that help him. Behind closed doors, he demeans and tries to dominate his staff with manipulative questions and expectations that change in order to try to further mentally dominate the very people who are trying to help him be successful. It is sad that the person who has the power to build up the team in order to better serve the patient, chooses to break down the staff that is there to help, and learn. Btw, this is happening while the patient is asleep. Please be skeptical of his public facade. Dr. Potash has made my living with ulcertive colitis not only bearable but his patience and understanding and answering my questions is amazing.

Great doctor alot of doctors diagnose you quickly and just put you on medicine, this one actually does testing and gets to the bottom of it, yeah he has a way of words but thats just his personality ???? im from the city the doctors there have so many patients that your diagnosed with 5 diffrent illness put on 6 diffrent meds and diets and pray that none of them are addicting before you even no whats wrong with you! Be gracious he actually takes time out to figure you out and prescribe safetly ???????????? Dr. Potash is a helpful Dr. and makes my son feel quite comfortable, esp. since my son is a challenged adult. He has put my mind at ease in the tests he has performed and the knowledge he shares with us both. I would recommend Dr. Potash to anyone in need of a Dr. in this field.

Dr Potash is a great doctor, NOT GOOD, GREAT. He is wicked smart, and is caring and takes in my concerns as a patient, he has taught me much about various conditions/ illnesses i've gone to him for. He often has re-read my entire chart before saying anything... i have been his patient for at least 16 years and HE IS THE BEST Gastro. I think sometimes people don't "get him" b/c He has a dry and intelligent sense of humor.. BUT he is awesome, he is thorough.. he has helped me by putting me on special food plan when i was sick for decade plus and nobody else could figure it out. If you want a good doctor he is the one, if you want to be coddled and treated like a baby go to someone else.. those are the ones that don't do anything but talk and maybe have empathy, he knows his stuff and is compassionate, listens, explains ect. if you have a problem comprehending him or any doctor i recommend bringing a tape recorder so you can hear again what's said, and take a list of Q's with you and write the answers, he will take the time to address your concerns. Dr. Potash did a great job with my colonscopy, and I would recommend him.

confident, calm and straightforward. very well educated and friendly. explains without excess jargon but is not condescending or dismissive. I'd recommend him to anyone.
