Left multiple messages for office manager and yet to hear back. Not sure how she runs the office. By ignoring patients I guess.

I was one of Dr. Cather's very first patients (when she was first with Dr. Menter) and have sent everyone in my family and almost everyone I know to her. We all love her. She is outstanding in her field--sharp-eyed (she has spotted tiny squamous cell cancers when I have come in for something else!), up-to-date on the latest research, kindhearted, and (bonus points!) lots of fun!

Office is just like any other despite what greeting message says when you call. Wanted to book an appointment for a new patient. Started via chat and left all my info and no reply. Eventually called and first questions were what insurance do I have. While I understand it’s a business but does the top concern and question need to be about $$ rather then genuine care. This medical practice is exceptional. I began seeing Dr. Cather several years ago. I developed skin cancer and she addressed it successfully. She maintained treatment for any potential issues, and was very, very generous with her time. 18 months ago I was diagnosed w/stage III esophogeal cancer. Non smoker, but received RT/CT @ Tx Oncology and surgery @ UTSW. Dr. Cather was unfazed by my condition. Her continued presence in my treatment has been excellent. We consider Doctor Cather extraordinarily professional & the absolute best dermatologist in Dallas. She is very compassionate and caring towards those under her care.. Doctor Cather has saved the life of our beloved family member who has had multiple issues with skin cancer. Our family member had several skin cancer surgeries due to her eagerness to go above and beyond on behalf of her beloved patients, when dealing with serious issues time is of the essence and this gifted doctor understands it!!! Absolutely love Dr. Cather and her staff. They are genuine, funny and very sweet!

I liked Dr. Cather, but I came in for a preventative cancer skin check, and they coded it as 99204, after mentioning to me I had a very minor skin rash (that I already knew I had). But because of this "diagnosis", it was bumped from a preventative visit (free with my insurance) to a $171 visit (out of pocket since I haven't met deductible.) 99204 means a visit that is 45-59 minutes long (mine was LESS than 15 minutes), and which includes things like "acute complicated injury" , or "1 diagnosed problem with uncertain diagnosis", etc. This tiny harmless rash did not fall under anything like this. My husband, also a physician, said this should have been coded as a 99203, which is a more modest charge. I'm tired of doctor's offices coding for maximum charges, & assuming the patient has no idea what's going on. It is so very hard to be a consumer with medical charges these days!

My personal experience was not great. They didn’t take the time to listen to my concerns and history. I felt rushed each appointment and didn’t see any results based on their suggestions.

My mom has been one of Dr. Cathers cancer patients for many years! Dr. Cather would see my mom with the oncologist. My mom decided to stop seeing that oncologist and wanted to find a new one after treatment issues with the oncologist. My mom loved Cather, Cathers office told my mom weeks ago, they would recommend an oncologist for her, she has yet to hear back, after evenI have called. Very sad, my mom is at her worst and we are left scrambling to find her the right care. I would no longer recommend Cather or her staff! Melody is great, takes good care or you and is very thorough with questions or concerns you have.

Dr. Cather and her practice, Mindful Dermatology, are awesome. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable. Can't speak highly enough of this practice!

Dr Cather is the best and her team are on top of things. I’ve been seeing Cather for 18 years. Ignore these negative reviews. Call ahead because they book up quickly (They are that good) They’ve recently added some new and awesome great treatments. You won’t be disappointed.

I was trying to make an appointment and they disconnected the call as I was trying to give out details. I called back and staff seems very rude did not seem to care about what i had to say. Sadly, I didn't even make it to book an appointment. Good luck, rude staff.

When a patient is willing to leave one practice, pay the cash price because the Doctors office has stopped accepting their insurance one would think that the patient is loyal and really has confidence in the Doctor and the practice . When the staff is lacking organizational skills and thinks that they are doing the patient a favor then that’s when the issues arise. If the money was an issue then the patient would have utilized their insurance plan, located a Doctors office closer than an hour from home. It is unfortunate when a patient loses trust in the Doctors staff. Canceling or rescheduling appointment is not rocket science, keeping your word is pretty simple. Good luck! I went to see physician assistant Cynthia Trickett for my eczema and I thought she was very knowledgeable and professional. She took the time to answer all my questions. I would recemmend her.

My all-time FAVORITE derm. I've suffered from hormonal acne for years, and she has been willing to be as aggressive as I want to be with treatment. She empowers her patients by providing options and thoroughly explaining the pros and cons of everything. She's cool, relatable and real.

PA. Cynthia Trickett treated my mum for her psoriasis and now treats me for my psoriasis. Her approach is treat the patient as a whole, not just the condition as most specialists do. I would reccomend Dr. Trickett for anything dermatologically related.

I went to see Cynthia Trickett for my skin check and I LOVED how thorough and professional she was. She took her time and made sure to answer all my questions and concerns without feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a derm.

They deserve 5 stars! From easy scheduling to doctors taking the time to listen and carefully address concerns. I've been to 3 other Dermatologists in DFW and this is by far the best experience I've had.

I see Melody Young, the nurse practitioner. She is so kind. I had really bad acne and a staphylococcus infection on my face. I looked like a monster and was ashamed to show my face. She told me she could make it better. She was right. I continue to use medication but my skin is now clear! I’m no longer ashamed to let the world see my face. I took my Mom to see Cynthia Trickett, the PA this week. My Mom had seen another Dermatologist about two months ago and did not feel like he took enough time to look at her skin. Cynthia did a complete head to toe look and low and behold (!) she found two skin cancers that the previous dermatologist missed. I am so thankful that I listened to the recommendation of my Aunt who is already seen at Mindful Dermatology. I recommend Cynthia to anyone who is looking for a great visit. I have gone to Dr Cather for over 25 years and would never even consider anyone else, ever! She specializes in psoriasis and is so very patient with me, kind and considerate. She takes the time to listen to me and my concerns and worries and always finds a way to reassure me and treats me like I am important to her. The staff is super and my appointments are always on time.

Dr. Cather is one of the most compassionate and friendly Dr.'s that I have ever experienced. She is non-judgmental and easy to relate with. She is professional and thorough. I never feel rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Cather.

I have been Dr. Cather's patient almost since she began her practice, and have sent virtually everyone I know to her since.This is both good and bad: good in that everyone loves her (even awkward teenaged boys embarrassed by their acne) and in that she has saved several friends' lives by promptly diagnosing some bad things (e.g., melanoma, psoriatic arthritis); bad in that getting in to see her for ordinary stuff may take a while. I wouldn't go to anyone else, however. Smart. Kind. Funny!
