He’s a great dermatologist who takes the time to answer all my questions. The skin cancer screening is thorough. Staff is super friendly. Multiple locations make office visits convenient from home or work.

As others have said. In and out. Doesn't look at entire body for possible cancer. I feel very uncertain about status following visit. Will go to someone else.

Dr. Sklar is a very knowledgeable Physician. He is through when examining you and gentle with treatments. I have been going to him for many years and can highly recommend him.

I consider myself lucky when I ONLY have to wait 30 minutes for ANY MD. Bring a crossword puzzle, relax, and quit griping about having to wait a few minutes for a top person in his field! Takes forever to make an appointment and waiting room time is ridiculous. Then he spends two minutes with you and prescribes some overpriced compound that you can only get at a “special” pharmacy. Generally the Rx doesn’t help but hope springs eternal. Dermatology; license to mint money

I like my Doctor but the wait time is ridiculous. I’ve been here 3 times and all 3 times I’ve waited more than 30 minutes for my SCHEDULED appointment. It’s annoying and I end up having to redo my schedule for the day.

Have been going to Dr Sklar every year for an overall skin exam. This year he found a small mole on my back that looked “funny”. Removed and tested it. Came back malignant melanoma. He sent me to a cancer surgeon who said it was found at the earliest possible time and that Dr Sklar has a really “good eye” for melanoma. My surgery went well. Melanoma is gone. I believe his “good eye” saved my life. I have now sent at least a dozen of my family and friends to him. They all liked him and will now see him annually as will I. Dr. Sklar was highly recommended by my Internal Medicine Physician. I have been very satisfied with his care. I like his nurse assistant. His office staff is very professional and helpful.

Dr. Skalr rushes in and out of examining rooms like a Texas tornado. His nurse performed a procedure on me that was not successful. ("She's the best at this," he assured me.) So I had to return for him to repeat it. At least the nurse was friendly. He was barely polite.

Dr. Skalr spends as little time as possible with patients, as he dashes from exam room to exam room. Considering how "successful" his practice is, he is barely polite. His nurses and staff are kind and helpful. He should learn from them.

He’s the best Dermatologists in America!! I have all the trust in him That’s possible. I’ve been going to him ever since he joined Dr. Jacobson For about 50 years!!! He the best & is known all over the ????

I find Dr. Sklar to be rude, hasty, and apathetic. Just because he’s not concerned about an issue, doesn’t mean he has to act annoyed when we are! He clearly doesn’t enjoy his job or like people very much. Time for a career change!! Seriously, Dermotologists are a dime a dozen in this city, if you can go elsewhere, DO IT!

he spent 1 to 2 minutes with me for Chilitis of my lip ( which can lead to squamous cell cancer) and told me " it doesn't look like cancer yet, so dont worry about it!"

Excellent in every way. I've had bad and good experiences with doctors. This was great!

I have been a patient w Dr Sklar for several years treatimg precancerous cells on my head. He is first class. I sent my soninlaw to him for an irritation previously treated by one GP and another dermo--Dr Sklar diagnosed it immediately and gave him the treatment that cleared up his problem in a very short time. He had been bothered by it for months. I would not recommend anyone else

Liquid Nitrogen was used incorrectly and a large shot stream ended up on my right temple. Shortly after that my hair fell out and none grew back, making me look like I might be in my 90's. Sickening. The duration on that area was to massive, when it shouldn't have been. Normally tissue that has been frozen dries out and falls off...i am proof that it can kill hair too. It is sickening, but Dr Skalar never responded to my letter. I have before and after photos too,

I went to Dr. Sklar at his 5924 Royal Lane location for a consultation about a few places on my face and a rash on my legs on Nov 6, 2013. While they were barely visible, I could feel them and wanted to be sure there was nothing abnormal. After examining all the areas, Dr. Sklar indicated there was nothing unusual or potentially harmful. Some of the places he'd examined in May 2012 and said the same thing. IAll all of a sudden, he reached behind him, grabbed a silver spray can and applied Liquid Nitrogen to spots on my face and right arm. He then handed me a 4"x5" form telling me when to expect over the next 10-14 days and left the exam room. The effects listed included blistering, blood blister, throbbing pressure, and that the treated spots may turn dark. If he had discussed this with me, I would have asked if it was medically necessary (unlikely as he'd already pronounced them harmless) but if so, would have made a later appointment. I had speaking commitments in the coming 12 days and would feel embarrassed if these reactions appeared on my face. Instead of the $25 consultation I'd signed up for, I was given a charge of $267 of which I was required to pay $138.46. This treatment was both unnecessary and done without my permission. Dr Sklar goes out of his way to make sure that I receive everything I need when I see him. (I get a skin rash about once a year and is very itchy and painful) He gets me in very quick and gets me medication to make me comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone who might need help.
