Dr. Jerry Alton Smith

It’s just horrible ! I’ve been seeing Jerry smith for over a year and only met him once , his whole staff is rude and have no bedside manner whatsoever. Then with no explanation I get a letter in the mail saying he won’t see me anymore only a few days before my appointment to get my medicine refilled. Now what am I to do ? They won’t answer the phone or call me back, they should be sued and shut down !

Dr Jerry smith was very rude & disrespectful!!!! I felt like I was dealing with a racist ! He kept hinting at the fact he didn’t want me to be his patient by saying “this isn’t the doctor office for you”

Impossible to get on the phone. Never actually see the MD at visits. The PAs you see at visits seem kind and genuinely try to help but typically the doctor rejects the treatments discussed with the PA and every single time tries to do a completely different treatment plan even though the PA that actually saw and spoke with me requested another treatment. Not once have I seen the actual doctor, not even for initial visit. the front desk staff are rude and very unhelpful. Wait times aren’t terrible but aren’t great. Impossible to get on the phone. The wait times are unacceptable. Appointment time was at 9:45. They call you back to the room then I waited over an hour for the doctor ever came in the room. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

This man has a genuine problem with answering his phone or calling in my prescriptions.

Doctors never listen to what I have to say. I never see the same person twice . I'm going thru something in life that isn't something one should take lightly and they just do NOT care . We were there for a 9:45 appointment. We weren't called back until 10:50. Then we waited for 25 more minutes for the doctor. A nurse came in and told us it would be a little longer. I complained that it had already been a lot of time. The doctor - from outside in the hallway - said "I'll handle this." He came in and yelled at me and accused me of being loud and aggressive as he put his finger in my face. He then asked us to leave and did not renew prescription s. In case you don't know, that's illegal. Doctors must give notice to terminate the doctor patient relationship and they must provide a referral. He did neither. We were there for a 9:45 appointment. I would give zero stars if it would allow. This is THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL doctors office I have ever had to deal with. Yes... worse than the staff at Dr. Belue`s office. The doctor prescribed an insulin pump. The company supplying the pump needed lab work, history of readings, medical notes, etc. The staff at Dr. Smiths office couldn't fill out the required forms and failed to send the records to the company supplying the pump. I was in contact with the company liason who was requesting the forms from the Dr office. She informed me that not only had she been requesting the information they needed but a representative from Tandem was also requesting them. After 5 months of total run around from the doctors office, multiple calls, multiple requests, multiple messages, Dr. stated that he would personally contact the Pump supplier to try to resolve any issues. A week later, still nothing, and the company liason informed me that they STILL had not heard from ANYONE from the Dr office. I called the Dr office and was told by one of the RUDE staff that the Insulin Pump company would have all of the information "as soon as they could get the fax to go through".... and she hung up the phone. Yes, hung up. When I tried to call back, they would either not answer the phone or they would pick it up and hang back up. Finally they answered and Dr. Smiths got on the phone. He stated that everything I was saying was a lie and HE hung up the phone. None of this makes any sense at all. Rude and unprofessional. If you need a doctor you may need to look elsewhere. These people don't care about the patients. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and go somewhere else! I would give zero stars if it would allow. I've never actually seen Dr. Smith. I've only ever talked to the PAs, who are very nice, and the man who seems to be the PA-in-charge, who's also great and sort of oversees everything the PAs do. He's also a PA and he's got numerous degrees and was in the armed forces, and is smarter, better informed, and nicer than many doctors I've been to. They treat my 7 yo son too, and just as well. Their front desk staff is lovely. There is sometimes a bit of a wait, but I imagine that's because they take walk ins, which you would love if your kid was sick and had no appointment. They're helpful, friendly, and smart...I'm happy to keep going here. I've never actually seen Dr. Smith. I visit every month I always get the same treatment

Went to see Dr. Smith after having chronic stomach pains since high school previously diagnosed as ulcers. After asking SEVERAL times if I had been sexually active and me replying, "NO!" to the point of irritation, he still deemed it necessary to send in lab orders for STDs, pregnancy and drugs. This is their protocol. I WAS NOT informed of these tests, or I would have denied them. The response of the PA when my mom called for me is basically that they know best, and he hung up on her.

If you want to see a different PA every time you go and never lay eyeballs on the Dr unless you happen to see him sitting in the hall, this is your place. In 6 months I never spoke to him. Seriously, it's like a PA finishing school, and you're the one they're practicing on. And when they mess up and make a mistake, you pay the price. Be advised.

I only saw the PA this seems to be the the story with most. He honestly seems less informed than the nurses. He sucks. Doesn't care about you or your issues. All he cares about is prescribing meds and getting his money... I don't care what anyone says they are AWFUL!!! The nurses know more than him...

i come in once a month just to get a refill on prescriptions and always have to wait an hour before i even see anyone. If Dr Smith was actually there and seeing patients it would great, however all you see is this smart oil dude who's PA who thinks he knows what's best for you.. Hogwash. I want Dr Smith back. I'm probably changing Drs this month, he wants to take me off all the meds that I've been taking for years that work and change things by taking some away.. I want Dr. Smith back!!!

Dr Smith has been a blessing in my life. he adderesses my problems in a very through way. My wait time is minale. Getting an appointment is very easy to get and if I get sick he takes walk ins. Im very great ful for him.
