Dr. John A Greer

Dr. Greer is professional and personable but additionally, what is important to me, is that he is progressive and aggressive treating my advanced prostate cancer. Progressive = well informed on current options. Aggressive = willing to use these new options.

Dr Greer is very talented doctor. He helped me when I was referred to him though emergency and so thankful that I was. He was informative and guided me though the process and calmed my fears . He not only dealt with short staff hospital but stayed on top of my case as he was making sure all of his patients needs were met . His office and staff are amazing and friendly, It’s medical professionals like him that we all wish we had for our care!

He explains everything to me thoroughly and has a conservative approach to treatment, not pushing surgery if it's not absolutely necessary. I see him every six months and it's always a good experience.

Greer 'G' performed surgery on my husband, 'P', and surgically inserted a pump along with something else. The day after the surgery at P's checkup P told G that he felt the stitches rip loose from the pump when he got up on the exam table. P nearly passed out from the pain but G just gave him a shot for pain and told him this is all normal. P was supposed to be able to get out of bed that day since they removed the catheter but could no longer get out of bed. No matter what we reported, that he could not rise from his bed G kept saying it was all normal. At 2 week checkup P needed 2 people to get him out of bed and take him in a wheelchair, G told P, this is all normal. P lost 2 months by being restricted to his bed because the device kept moving and the pain due to swelling was excruciating. G just blew us off saying it was normal. G would not give any credibility to P. G finally did the surgery again and insisted we had to pay our copay again. We do not recommend Dr. Greer

Dr. Staff did not listen and take my complaintsunami of pain seriously. In stead he referred me to a pain management Dr which the staff for got until I reminded them of it took 2 weeks. My pain was a result of my cancer treatment bcg, escaping the bladder and entering my bloodstream I'm, not blaming him for that. I'm just recovering from that 9 months later and 4 hospitalizations. I'm not blaming him for bcg problem but the way they handled the onset of was piss poor. They didn't believe m

Knowledgeable in the anatomy and physiology of not only the diagnosis, but of all the other pieces causing the diagnosis, treatment, etc. With steady treatment, ongoing monitoring and testing, and medications and minimal inconvenience, Dr Greer and his MA, PA, and lab techs took our 2% chance of becoming parents ( per Dr Slater) and got us pregnant in under a years time. Thank you so much for helping us without clearing our our bank account, retirement, etc.

I would like to thank Dr. John Greer for working me into his schedule last year at Christmastime when I could get into no other urologist and for going the extra mile to then work me into his outpatient surgery schedule the next day as I was going out of town. I got into his office without a referral and his office got the referral from St.Luke's as I was not referred on from the St. Luke's ER or my Internist. Staff is very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Greer.

Waited 45 minutes in the exam room past appointment time. When he came in he was smug and asked how I was told him great other than waiting atound and my time was as valuable as his, he said I could leave and so u did. Would never ever recommend him to anyone
