For any mama looking for a dr who truly cares, I would recommend Dr McAndrew. He delivered my son in October this year and I felt like I was in good hands. My whole pregnancy, up to my sons birth was great. This was my third and last child. I have delivered in El Paso, Misawa and now Alamogordo and I can tell you this was the best birth experience ever. He addressed any concerns I had and gave advice when needed. I have zero complaints. Even during these days with covid I felt the nurses, staff and hospital put our health first before anything. Thank you dr McAndrew and thank you Gerald champion hospital!!

Really easy to talk to and his staff is also awesome!

I really enjoyed my experience here, their new building is much nicer, I like how quiet the facility is. The woman who did my ultrasound was very nice and knowledgeable, it was a very good overall experience.

I had a Pap test done by Dr. McAndrew and it was the easiest and most comfortable one I’ve ever had! I am very pleased with the service I received and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McAndrews and his staff are one of the best medical profession offices with which I've ever interacted.They dedicated time in answering all of my questions regarding my 86-year old mother's condition, what her options were, and set up a telemedicine session per our request due to the covid-19 pandemic. I can't thank them enough - stellar at their roles and very much appreciated. I would highly recommend Dr. McAndrews to anyone in need of his services. Dr. McAndrew did my Mirena IUD insertion. I was pretty terrified, but he made me very comfortable with lots of jokes and by clearly explaining everything that he did. Very positive experience and I would be happy to see him again for any other OBGYN needs.

The doctors at White Sands are the perfect combination of compassionate and professional. I have a variety of obstetrical and gynecological issues. Dr. McAndrew, Dr. Shin, and the high risk specialist went above and beyond to ensure I had a safe delivery. We're so grateful for our beautiful, healthy baby.

I appreciated being able to talk with this doctor about my issues and felt like I was being heard and understood. This was my first visit so wasn't sure what to expect. I appreciate that he has a great sense of humor because it puts you at ease from the start. The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. My First visit to talk about tubal ligation and it was so easy to ask questions and become aware of what it was about. Very calm and professional.

Doctor is thorough and very concerned for each and every patient. Front desk and nurses are absolutely amazing and alway ensure you are not only satisfied with your care, but happy as well. I highly recommend them!

I have been seeing John McAndrew for many years and he is always very professional yet cares about his patients. He has helped me deal with many post menopause health issues and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my female friends.

Had two visit with him, so far. First pregnancy. Dr. McAndrew was awesome, made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions! Every staff member with his office has been awesome too!

Dr. Mcandrew is the best in Alamogordo. I saw him the most through my prenatal care & he delivered my son. I couldn't have had a better experience. He is so calm and comforting. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I never worried a second about mine or my child's care. His sense of humor is refreshing and the nurses on shift with him on Feb. 25 2020 were absolutely wonderful!!! He reminds me of my pops and so it made my experience more sentimental. If anyone ever bad mouthed this man I would never believe a word they said!!! Hands down best around!! <3

My feelings towards the women’s clinic is low, but my feelings on how this doctor was prompt and to the point and quick on what I needed and to get it done was high.

Dr. McAndrew is absolutely phenomenal. He's super laid back during office visits, and exactly the same during labor... We were talking between contractions like there was nothing major going on. I absolutely enjoyed my delivery experience with him.

I didnt have to be seen by dr. Mcandrew but took the time to see me and made me feel as if i was ensured my health was being looked after.

After 8 years of seeing different doctors for my infertility, I went to see doctor John Macandrew, he requested all my medical records from every doctor that I went to see, he took the time to review everything and came to a conclusion of what I needed to fix my infertility. Dr. McAndrew was great. He was very to the point, and pleasant; which I think is extremely important in his line of work. Not only did I find Dr. McAndrew pleasant, but his staff was just as kind and friendly.

I hated this office and the way Dr. Andrew handled my consultation. I did my reasearch and requested specifically Dr. Gurdial Dhillon whom I saw on my first appointment, very profesional, attentive and takes his time to explain the treatment. Dr. Dhillon was able to hear the heart beat of the fetus during the first trimester. Then the follow up appointment they refused to have me see him again, they said I had to see the other three Gynecologists on site before I could see Dr. Dhillon again. Well there was a complication with my pregnancy and I was spotting, I had to see Dr. MacAndrew, whom rushed into the consultation room, looked at my vagina real quick, there was some bleeding, he ordered a sonogram, they sent me to the sonogram room and sent me back home, with no discussion of what was going on, they didn't check my blood to see if my progesterone levels were good, nothing, they sent me back home bleeding. Next day I had way more bleeding with blood clots practically having a misscarriage and I call to see Dr. Dhillon, they still forced me to see another Dr. whom checked me, ordered another sonogram and casually told me, I don't find the heartbeat, but if you don't misscarry I can be your doctor. He sent me back with no instructions of anything, I was losing so much blood I called my sisters and told them about it. My sister who is a doctor in Mexico got so upset, how could they send me home just like that, I could bleed to death. I was losing gallons of blood and they kept sending me back home. I had to risk my life and have my husband drive me to see a Dr in Juarez recommended by my sister. He said you are having a miscarriage and you are passing out tissue. You need to get a D & C immediately to avoid infection. I was not comfortable doing it in Mexico and there we go again, now to the emergency room in alamogordo hospital, bring them a sample of the tissue that the Dr. in Mexico gave me, just so they can take this serious and give me the proper care. Thankfully Dr. Dhillan was on call and he is the one whom I saw, and he recommended to clear my uterus with medication to avoid more risk. He was so human and companionate he sat down to talk to my husband who was heart broken, confused and devastated. He even shared a tear with him. I hated the office and the system they use to run it. They not only could have save a life of a new human being, but they had us go trough a lot of trauma that I don't even want to try to get pregnant again. Dr. McAndrew is very professional and nice. There is almost no waiting time and the procedure itself always goes by fast.

I was going to a Dr. 1 hr away because I just couldn't find a Dr. here in this small town that i actually felt comfortable with. A friend who has worked with this dr. Before moving out of state told me about him. So i made a appt and honestly have to say he was a really good Dr. Made me feel so comfortable, listened to me. And understood what was going on. I didn't have to wait a hour before seeing him and he made Me laugh and just made me feel like I have known him forever. ....I'm a people person so I can tell really quickly if im going to like someone. And i honestly liked Dr. Mc Andrews right off the bat. Very honest, and knows his stuff. His personality is not one that is all buttery and sweet but he is very friendly and dosent beat around the Bush. ( no pun intended) He will be my gyno from now on. Dr. McAndrew is an awesome doctor! He listens to you, answers questions - clearly. He is a very educated Doctor. Great bed side manner. I also feel he spends a good amount of time with you, making sure that you are fully aware of any medical issues & or medications. It was refreshing to have a doctor here in alamogordo who took time, yet didnt leave me waiting forever. And also is a Doctor who can give answers & help - explainning in a way we can understand.

Best Doctor I've ever had. So sad he moved from NY. Anyone who has him as an MD has hit the jackpot. His level of professionalism and knowledge of his field is incredible. He caters to the patient's needs. He is personable, patient and thorough! He his the best you'll ever find!
