I've been a patient of dr russell for 29yrs. I'm am very lucky to have one family dr for 29years. He will sit with you and LISTEN to you and tell you straight up what you need to do to get better. I've been THROUGH alot of surgeries and and more ups and downs then anything else..Dr russell helped me more then he will ever know..he is a caring and stern ,funny and straight to the point. I am very lucky to have him as my doctor..he listens when I talk and expects me to LISTEN when he talks (I DO)..To have one doctor for 29years that knows just about everything there is to know about me is great that way you don't have to keep explaining your problems and ailments to multiple doctors...HE DESERVES EVERY ONE OF THOSE 5 STARS.. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Russell for 25 years. He is the epitome of what a doctor should be: caring, personable, professional, and accessible. He listens and explains everything thoroughly. He spends quality time with us no matter how busy the office is. He genuinely cares about us and our family. We have referred Dr. Russell to family and friends. He is a great doctor.

John represents the best of what healthcare should be. He is a proactive partner in my well being who takes the extra steps to know his patients and understand their needs. He is personable, pragmatic and always accessible. Good guy, great Doctor!

Dr. Russell is everything you would want in a Family Doctor. Extremely patient and attentive (even when the office is full) incredibly interested in your overall health. I have been a patient of Dr. Russell since the early 1990’s and my respects only grows. Interestingly when I mention him to other doctors (either specialists I’ve needed or just meeting them socially the reaction I get is always unbridled admiration! Seems I’m not the only one who sees how special he is! I highly recommend him!

Dr. John Russell has been a trusted source of knowledge and comfort for all things medical and personal. He's been like family to me for many years. A true professional and a genuine pleasure to have as our family doctor.

Dr. John Russell is a compassionate physician who takes the time to listen to the patient/family members with genuine concern. He educates the patient/family with respect and kindness. He consistently responds and follows up in a timely manner. My family and I (generations of care) are grateful for his expertise and ongoing care.

I cannot imagine a better family doctor than Dr. Russell. He is thoughtful and patient. Knows how to get to the heart of the matter. I am in very good hands with him as my doc.

This is a man who likes himself more than his patients, who never wants to take the time to listen to your issues. He is rude and has no bedside manner. I would not recommend him as a family physician.

He is supposed to be a professional that makes you feel better but yelling at you and his rude bedside manner is not the way to do that! Just because he has to work late should not be a reason to be short and mean to patients who are not feeling well!

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT SINCE HE GRADUATED AND STARTED AT AFM WHICH MY MEMORY SAYS IS 1989...EVEN THOUGH HIS PROFILE SAYS HE HAS ONLY 19 YEARS EXPERIENCE. I AM SAD TO SEE NO ONE HAS WRITTEN ANY REVIEWS FOR HIM. HE IS SUCH A CARING COMPASSIONATE PERSON AND DOES TREAT ME WITH ALL DUE RESPECT. I DO ADMIRE HIS ABILITY TO BE SO PROFESSIONAL ALWAYS...YET HE CAN KIBBITZ WELL WITH THE BEST. I DO TRULY LOVE & APPRECIATE HIM & ALL HIS CARE OF ME FOR ALMOST A QUARTER OF A CENTURY.
