I will miss my annual checkups with Dr. Strickland as he’s due to retire in 2 weeks. He has all the qualities I look for in a physician: knowledge, competent, approachable, communication skills, affable, sincere, caring and so many other relatable human qualities. He performed surgery to remove my cancerous prostate and I’m still above ground. I thank him most sincerely for that!!! Enjoy your next journey Doctor, and I hope we cross each other’s path while we both are still on this planet! Chris

Dr Strickland and staff are excellent in the performance of their medical practice.

Excellent!

I came to Dr Strickland with a problem which had troubled me for years. Once I found out how easy the solution was, I really looked forward to positive results, which I got. This is a solution for a female incontinence problem which affects a lot of postmenopausal women. Frankly, of all the ridiculous, gross, and unappealing commercials there are on television for every problem known to man, I've never seen this. I know a lot of women would benefit from this prescription, and I think it's almost worth sending out to all post menopausal patients a questionnaire regarding this issue and the type and severity of symptoms. I think you'd find a lot of women who would be well served by this particular mode of treatment. I thank Dr Strickland for suggesting it because, though I have mentioned this issue to my internist and even some gynecologists, no one has suggested this treatment. I'm told it's been around for at least 30 years!

Dr. Strickland is a good man. He is easy to talk with and you feel at ease when talking with him about why you are visiting him. If you think you may have kidney stones - call him.

Dr. Strickland has been my urologist for 26 years. He was also my father’s Dr. In that time, I have come to regard him as much a friend as a Dr., always having the utmost trust in his recommendations and decisions. This trust has always resulted in my benefit.

I only waited ten minutes to see Dr. Strickland. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The nurse was friendly too. I love Dr. Strickland I am sorry to hear he is retiring. He has been such a great dr.

Dr. Strickland is the best I love him a lot wouldn't have anybody else

Just coming back to KC after living in Utah the past 3 years where I received excellent urology treatment; I was glad to again continue my care with Dr Strickland. He's super and I will miss him when he retires but congratulate and wish him a healthy for rest of his future.

Appreciate how punctual the staff was and how friendly yet profession the doctor was. When I left, I had no unanswered questions still lingering.

Dr. Strickland was polite and responded to the issues I had, he examined me and had follow through procedures to do.

Dr. Strickland was very informative and to the point about my vasectomy reversal. I left the appointment with no questions feeling more confident than ever. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this procedure.

Dr. Strickland has taken care of me for 10 years; I could not have had a more professional & caring doctor. He got me through some scary things, but I always had confidence in him. Good luck in your retirement doc, you were the best.

Awesome, fast, and courteous.

Dr. Strickland and his nurse got me in right away and took care of my problem. Lovely people!

Great guy and good surgeon. I had prostate cancer. He performed my prostatectomy in. 2003 and with a little radiation I am still alive and enjoying a good life.

One of the most competent and caring physicians I know. He, and entire staff, were timely and responsive to my needs. I feel well cared for.

Reception very efficient and friendly. Short wait and Dr. Strickland has an excellent bed side manner. Very easy to talk to and eager to address and resolve concerns.

KCUC staff was courteous and professional. They got me into my appointment on time. I do not have to sit in my room for long before Dr. Strickland arrived. He was pleasant to talk with and answered all the questions I had and gave me more information that I hadn’t thought about. I will always use KCUC.

I have been seeing Dr. Strickland for about two years. My original urologist retired and he recommended Dr.Strickland. This was a tremendous recommendation as I have been extremely pleased with the care that I have received from Dr. Strickland. He is very professional and knowledgeable and talks with you, as opposed to to you, in terms that are easily understood by the patient. He is concerned about the whole person and not just your problem of the day. He takes whatever time is needed for you to understand your particular situation. I have seen John on a number of occasions. History of Kidney stones. John is a good man and Doctor. He is easy to talk with and he takes the time to listen and understand my concerns. He always explains his findings and the next steps that we should take. I am comfortable talking with John. He is very trustworthy.

I have been Dr. Strickland's patient since January of 1995 and am convinced that one of the reasons this is the case is that he was accurate with his diagnosis, clearly explained the options available at the time, performed the procedures necessary then followed up to do what he could to help ensure my longterm success, I am most pleased with his knowledge, expertise, empathy and manner.
