Most wonderful people. I was truly impressed with the quality of care in this office. Everybody is so nice, knowledgeable, empathic and they take time to listen to the patient. I have been treated by Dr Sun and Presley PA and they are both wonderful, caring and really good at their job. They fixed me up! I highly recommend.

Very kind and caring ruses. Dr Sun is very friendly and professional.

Model of efficiency and professionalism. Promptness and comfortable. Great communications. Highly recommend and won't go elsewhere. Only challenge is to stay consistent and after several visits challenge met. Noticed and appreciated efforts to try to improve process. Excellence achieved!

Dr Sun came highly recommended by my doctor. Nobody looks forward to a colonoscopy. He made the visit comfortable. The best part was not having to drink the thick gross chalky drink. I've already recommended him to several people.

If you have a hemorrhoid issue, John and Presley are the answer. I suffered for years and I wish I took care of this sooner! After a few months, you'll be like new again. Well worth it! And a great staff.

Dr. Sun saved my quality of life!!!!! After a baby I had many issues that several doctors and specialists couldn’t find reasons for. I found Dr Sun and he was able to (through testing) determine my issues. He was thorough and ever drew what procedures I needed out for me on a whiteboard so I understood. He may be a good surgeon but he is not a nice person. His ego is so big he seemed insulted when I asked for my mental health medication after surgery. By denying my med I had to cold turkey detox, a dangerous game to play with my health. I have had 4-5 abdominal surgeries and have never been treated so poorly. Patients beware!!!

Firstly, all of my encounters with Dr. Sun & his entire team have all been professional yet personable. Communication regarding my diagnosis & subsequent treatment was clearly explained to me in a manner that was easy to comprehend, making me feel more at ease with my diagnosis of stage 3 rectal cancer. As a user of marijuana, it was recommended that I stop several weeks prior to the first of two major surgeries. This was to ensure that my body would respond well to the anesthesia as well as pain medication"post-op". I heeded the advice and surgery went very well. For my second surgery, I did NOT cease my intake of marijuana edibles, but I really wish I had, because the pain was pretty severe, even though the first surgery was much more “major”. In the end, I would highly recommend him, Dr. Sun! I feel his many years of experience have enabled him to treat his patients with the utmost care & compassion to minimize their discomfort, such as the warning about marijuana use & surgery.

My husband was referred to Dr. Sun' clinic through the Centennial Medical plaza. After two years from then on, he was moved to Uchealth to have a complete test including colonoscopy. It has been found that three polyps have been grown in the mean time; 8cm, 5cm and 3 cm. The largest one has been resected. My husband is waiting for the remaining to be resected. I recently had a procedure performed by Dr. Sun. He was very kind and respectful. He accommodated my wish to speak to him prior to having an IV placed due to my extreme anxiety surrounding IVs. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. The operation was very quick and appears to have been very well executed. I felt his approach was appropriately conservative and involved the minimum amount of surgical intervention to encourage healing. The reason I am giving four stars not five is that I felt his post-op communication was extremely lacking. He did come talk to me within the first few minutes of waking up from anesthesia. I was still very drowsy and remember very little of the conversation but I don't remember hearing anything about the procedure itself or follow-up care. I knew going into the surgery that the exact course of action would depend on what was revealed at the start of the procedure. I was never told what was found during my procedure or what exactly was done and the only post-op care instructions I was given (from a nurse and written) were extremely brief, vague and contradictory. I emailed Dr. Sun's PA, Presley Pearson with all of my questions and she was able to give me better answers very quickly. I have been very impressed by Ms. Pearson throughout all of our interactions and I was grateful for her insight. However, the information she gave me should have been told to me immediately after surgery without me having to ask. Overall, I do recommend Dr. Sun and would certainly consult him again for any future surgical needs. I would suggest doing your own research and being prepared to ask well-informed questions. Don't expect to leave with a thorough write-up with care instructions or information about your condition even if your procedure was partly exploratory like mine. Although it did not affect my score above, I also wanted to note that the decor was EXTREMELY Christian-centered. I realise that this is an Adventist hospital but if you belong to another religion or are atheist like me, be prepared for some slightly unnerving artwork. I have been having issues for many years and have had doctors dismiss me. Dr. Sun took the time to review my medical records and agrees that something was wrong. He performed a surgery on me that has helped me tremendously. He always had a good bedside manner, friendly staff, and responsiveness to my questions. Dr Sun Performed a Fissurectomy and Bottox on me a few days ago. From the consultation I was in love with him and the whole staff, He was extremely knowledgable and fantastic to talk to. He took his time with the consultation and let me know exactly what needed to be done. The Surgery was 4 days later and it went absolutely fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone that needs this type of surgeon, I can't speak highly enough of him. I have seen some VERY poor surgeons in Denver that give me the creeps to even speak of and finding Dr Sun was a breath of fresh air. I was really looking forward to my appt. but Dr. Sun was like Alec Baldwin in Malice. Thinks he is a god. Clueless in so many ways, herbal medicine, diet, pain management. He is clueless about medical cannabis and judges those who use it instead of opioids for pain and cramping without suggesting an alternative. Actually thinks there is a diff between eating and smoking it on pain receptors in the brain. Obviously has not taken ANA & AMA approved CEU courses. No empathy bone in his body. No respect for intelligent peers in his field who have done research and ask questions. Could not give any dietary recommendations, pain management tips, infection control, etc. Seemed insulted when I asked his history with the type of surgery I may need. Only an idiot would not ask. Said I would be a difficult patient because I asked questions. What is he needing to hide? Would never recommend to my worst enemy.

I was referred to Dr. Sun for a surgical solution for chronic diverticulitis. I just finished (11 days ago) the 2nd of 2 surgeries (8 weeks apart) to remove about a foot of my sigmoid colon. Dr Sun is a highly skilled, careful and attentive surgeon. He took the time to carefully explain my condition, why surgery was the best option, how the surgery would be performed (in detail) and willingly answered any questions I had about the process. Post surgery, he carefully followed my progress. There were no complications. As of this review, 11 days post-op. Aside from a few Temporary post-op physical limitations and easing back into a proper diet, I'm 90% back to my physical norm, looking forward to full recovery within the next few weeks. His office staff is very professional and courteous as well. I highly recommend Dr. Sun if you're ever in the position to have to have colon surgery. Dr Sun is a highly skilled, careful and attentive surgeon. He took the time to carefully explain my condition, why surgery was the best option, how the surgery would be performed (in detail) and willingly answered any questions I had about the process. Post surgery, he carefully followed my progress.

Dr. Sun is an outstanding surgeon. My condition required an initial surgery and two followup biopsies. I experienced very little pain as Dr. Sun is very good with pain management. Dr Sun is easy to talk with and shows concern for his patients. I would recommend him to family or friends if they needed surgery.

In 2006 I was a 53 year old woman who was experiencing prolapse and poor function of the rectum. Dr Sun and Dr Aguirre reconstructed the prolapsed parts in the rectum and vaginal areas. I was terrified of pain potential and discomfort, but was pleased that this was managed very well. The surgery was a great success and 10 years later I am in very good condition.

Excellent experience. Face it rectal surgery is not fun and it is embarrassing, but Dr. Sun and his staff really take good care of you and takes the awkwardness out of the situation. His work is excellent and he uses the latest pain management (exparel) that keeps you pain free during the 3 days following surgery. Normally post op pain is excruciating. All the way around, if you need hemorrhoid surgery, Dr Sun should be your first choice.

We carefully researched for a doctor who had knowledge of and experience operating on pilonidal cysts for our 19 year old son. Dr. Sun was very knowledgeable and experienced with pilonidal disease. He spent time explaining what was going on and how he would operate (doing a modified Bascom procedure) prior to the surgery. We are almost a month post op and have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Sun and the procedure. We highly recommend Dr. Sun and his staff.

After procrastinating for way too long, I finally decided to get a colonoscopy. My Primary Care Physician recommended Dr. Sun and I'm so glad he did! Not only was Dr Sun very personable, his staff was wonderful. Their recommended method for prep (colon cleanse) was actually far easier than I expected.
