My first time visit to Reno Orthopedic Clinic, still has me reeling and in a state of awe!!! From the front entrance, with the friendly person at the door, to the front desk, with the friendly and professional staff to assist with checkin, to instructions to go to the location for my appt, to having the Assistant waiting for me and holding the door for me, to placing me in the closest exam room for my convenience, to meeting Dr. Zebrack for the first time, to his support staff and accommodations, to the discussion with the Scheduler(s). WOW!!! Professional, friendly, considerate...more than 5 Star service!!!

Great staff and answers to my questions and I left feeling like I have a good plan moving forward.

I have gone to Dr. Zebrack for a hip issue and a shoulder issue. He is super knowledgeable and took time to explain what the issues were. He is an excellent doctor I would recommend Dr. Zebrack to any with pain and issues.

I had left side rotator cuff surgery, and right shoulder surgery by Dr. Zebrack. Dr. Zebrack was very professional and continues to do so. During yesterday's appointment we discussed progression of treatments, cortisone shot was given, therapy is next, then we will discuss what next if this doesn't work.

Dr. Zebrack was very thorough in his diagnosis and followed up every step of the way. Recommended.

Dr. Zebrack performed my Knee surgery. My knee is now working great. I’m thrilled with the results. He and his staff is very professional, polite, and caring. He takes time to listen and time to explain. Dr. Zebrack is the BEST! He’s a FANTASTIC DOCTOR! I recommend him to anyone! Thank you for a surgery well done.

Dr. Z was very thorough in explaining the procedure. While some may think he is quiet and shy, I focused on his professional opinion, options and ultimately his surgical abilities. I am 10 weeks post op and finishing up PT, and pleased with outcome of the various surgical pieces he needed to address with my shoulder.

POOR, POOR AND POOR. INSULTING AND DISRESPECTFUL TO AN 84 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER BECAUSE I REFUSED TO GO UNDER HIS KNIFE AND HAVE KNEE REPLACEMENTS. I OPTED FOR HYALURONIC INJECTIONS. HE SCHEDULED ME FOR 15 MINUTES AND NEVER BOTHERED TO USE AN ULTRASOUND GUIDED KNEE INJECTION SCANNING MACHINE. THE PAIN WAS EXCRUCIATING.! HE CRITIZED ME ANGRILY FOR CRYING OUT. HE SAID ALL I WAS FEELING WAS A LITTLE PRESSURE... THAT HE HAD BEEN DOING THIS FOR 30 YEARS AND NOBODY HAS EVER COMPLAINED. WELL, HE HAS NOT BEEN PRACTICING THAT LONG... HE LIED.!! HE SENT ME A BILL FOR OVER $400. AND BILLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR MUCH MUCH MORE.!! FRIENDS TOLD ME THEY WERE CHARGED (BY ANOTHER DOCTOR) A TOTAL OF $230. FOR THE SAME PROCEDURE, AND WITH THE ULTRASOUND!!. DR. QUICKKNIFE DIDNT MAKE HIS MORTGAGE PAYMENT OFF ME THAT MONTH. I WONDER IF HE'D LIKE TO SEE HIS OWN MOTHER TREATED LIKE THIS?

Had a hip replacement a couple of weeks ago (Feb 2020) and everything is going better than I ever expected. Dr. Zebrack did a great job. Update : I had my other hip done by Dr. Zebrack July 2020 and everything went well again. It's great to be able to walk pain free and without limping!!

I had Total hip replacement surgery 8weeks ago it is like I never had a problem. Very professional. Excellent surgeon. Great staff at Northern Nevada Medical Center and at ROC.I highly recommend.

Poor, I went in for great pain in my hips. Dr. Zebrack prescribed cortison shots in both hips and physical therapy. After a course of about six months he told me that the X rays showed that the hip joints were bone to bone and proposed bilateral hip replacement. I went for a second opinion and the second orthopedic surgeon said I only had a simple case of bursitis in both hips. After volteron gel, lidocaine patches and continued physical therapy the problem healed itself! Dr. Quickknife did not get another victim to help pay his mortgage with an unwarranted procedure. There was no misunderstanding here, this was an intentional act as Dr. Zebrack told me my hip joints were "bone to bone." Further X rays and an MRI at another place showed that Dr. Zebrack lied to me to get more money for a profitable procedure.

Dr Z replaced my knee in Nov 2019 and he is the best.

He performed shoulder replacement and torn rotator cuff surgery. I am so pleased with this amazing doctor. His assistant is awesome too

He is a fantastic dr. He worked on my knee 8yrs ago and I have had no problems with it. Between him and my fantastic physical therapist, Andrew Hillyer, I healed fast and well. Now I am planning to send someone I care about to both of them.

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing Dr.Zebrack is!! I’m 30 years old with RA and a inverted hip that was bone on bone for 30 years!! In the span of 1 1/2 years he scooped my knee and gave me a full hip replacement 16 days ago.. for the first time in my life I feel no chronic pain. Zebrack has literally SAVED my LIFE and I can finally do things I never thought I would get to do!!! Didn't listen. Knee problem kept reoccurring. He dismissed it.

Great doctor as far as I'm concerned. Slap tear surgery with correction of bone spur issues in shoulder, performed by a skilled professional. Perhaps short on talk, but long on being one of the best shoulder surgeons in Reno. He came with very high reviews from friend who had him perform her rotator cuff surgery. I am very satisfied with this doctor and his very attentive assistant who accompanies him in operating room. You are the one that has to decide if you want surgery. He's probably not going to recommend surgery unless you tell him that you are sure you're ready for it. In my case, P.T. wasn't helping, and I wanted to get beyond the pain. I wanted to get the surgery done so that a few months from now I could start recovering - and throw a frisbee again with the grandkids. If you're looking for consultation, talk to his physicians assistant. She's very knowledgeable and informative. What an experience....awful that is. This guys is a joke of a doctor. Went there for knee pain. Front desk people are rude. Go in to a waiting, nurse shows up, not the doctor. She orders an X ray, results come back and then she says that an MRI would really tell what is wrong with it and asks “what do you want to do?” You’re the expert, what the hell should I do? So one gets ordered, come back in 2 weeks, again rude staff....come back in a week for results. Again nurse shows up and rude as always and says: “what do you want to do? Best option is knee surgery because you have torn meniscus”. Again, you are the freaking expert, DONT ASK ME! I tell her that there’s a huge bump on the left side of it and that is painful, very tender at the touch. “I know, we’ll remove it as well”. Surgery gets scheduled.....keep in mind in all of this time I probably saw the doctor for a total of 2-4 minutes....in all of those visits. When the surgery is done and I go home, the following day when my wife is removes the clothing to clean the wounds, I see that the huge bump on my knee is STILL there...and is just as painful. I call, doctor agrees to see me but says “oh I knew and saw that but I didn’t think it was important to remove it, the pain will go away”. WHAT? My knee does not look normal dude!!! Two months after surgery, I’m in worse pain than before surgery and now I have to schedule another MRI and probably another surgery. What an embarrassment of a doctor and clinic. DO NOT GO THERE. Please, please find another place for orthopedic needs in norther Nevada. They got paid already, they were actually billing my insurance before the surgery. My husband and I have been to see Dr. Z on two occasions. He is a rather shy and reserved man but obviously very competent . He made us both feel very much at ease immediately and was very sympathetic to my husband's joint pain problems. Having studied the X-rays thoroughly and having asked him a number of penetrating questions, he made several recommendations. He then gave him two cortisone shots, which helped almost immediately. Excellent surgeon. Understood I was nervous about having surgery so he took the time to discuss the procedure and reassured me that it would be okay.

Total hip replacement surgery three weeks ago. His team is trained for the success of the patient. I kept waiting to have surgery but now realize how life could have been so much better these past five years. Don’t wait! Do it!

I feel like Dr. Zebrack cares about his patients. That is important. He also always answers my questions. Which is equally important.

I really like Dr. Zebrack. He gives relatively painless Cortizone injections to the knee, and thoroughly answers questions. I have never felt rushed.

I really liked Dr Zebrack, he was really through with me about my MRI and I felt better about the results. The shot worked great. Thanks again

Dr. Zebrack answered all my questions and explained things so I understood. He spoke to me prior to surgery for a torn meniscus and again explained the procedure and what to expect after. I had two follow up visits and he answered my questions. I am pleased with the surgery results and feel back to normal. I think it is important for any patient to research their condition and ask the questions rather than just assuming the doctor will know what questions you have.

Dr Zebrack is excellent, compassionate and thourough.

This was my first visit to see Dr. Zebrack. While I was there he performed a Monovisc injection in my right knee joint. The injection was painless and my knee is pain free again. I would reco.end him to anyone needing his Orthopedic skills.

Dr. Zebrack and his assistant both visit you so you can ask questions. I asked to have a picture drawn of my procedure and what I was to expect after.. Follow up visit I was shown pictures of my procedure and time to ask questions. Sceduled for PT and another follow up visit.

Great Physician and great surgeon.

Dr Zebrack very competent surgeon. Pleasant with patients, quiet but caring.

He’s a superb Doctor but he lacks in compassion and empathy towards his patients. He acts like he doesn’t want to be bothered and he really doesn’t listen.

I would highly recommend Dr Zebrack, his nurse practitioner Ali, and the rest of his team for orthopedic surgery!! My recovery has been quite easy with minimal pain and I have excellent ROM with my new knee.

Dr. ZEBRACK has been treating me for a left shoulder injury for 3 or 4 years. I have to admit I found him a bit distant on my first visit but his suggested treatment alleviated the discomfort for over a year. On each subsequent visit his patient skills have improved. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. ZEBRACK to others.

Would never recommend this doctor to anyone. Sorry excuse for a doctor ! Did not even physically examine me but made a maybe diagnosis, terrible patient communication NO bedside at all ! His assistant is more of a time consumption and she served no real purpose and spent little time on the problem I came to the doctor for. Disappointing beyond belief when you need help.

Dr. Zebrack performed my knee replacement in December 2014 with excellent results. He's very pleasant to talk to and he is a good listener. When I need my next knee replacement, I won't hesitate to contact Dr. Zebrack again.

He does not care. On all 3 occasion's he spent maybe 30 seconds in the room. Never looked me in the eyes.

I'm a local physician and choose to entrust my orthopedic care to Dr. Zebrack. I know he is an excellent surgeon We have had many mutual patients with excellent outcomes. He is soft spoken but always willing to address any questions or concerns. He has a genuine kindness and perfect professionalism. His staff are very efficient and kind in their care as well. I would highly recommend him.

Good surgeon but his social skills are lacking. He usually sends in his assistant first, who is very friendly and warm, then comes into examining room says maybe to words and dismisses you. He does not want to hear what has you have to say and just leaves the room. I have never been treated this shabbily by a physician. I would not recommend him to anybody. Tends to lean on the racist side.

John Zebrack is a PATHETIC accuse for a doctor. I went in with a broken leg and was put to wait for 20 min in the waiting room, once in the back i was greeted with another 20 minute wait. When Zebrack finally came in he was very short and uninterested in me or my comfort. He answered all my questions with a blank statement of just needing to put my new boot on and left promptly ( 3 minutes tops) without looking at my leg. When i asked about medicine he was almost taken aback that i might need something for pain for a broken leg and dislocated knee. He then proceeded out without talking about medicine or what the best coarse of action is. He just called in an unknown amount of something to the pharmacy(hopefully). I am seasoned in doctor office settings and my whole family is based around it, this was a sorry excuse for a doctor and i just went up and down 3 sets of stairs to get to his 3 minute appointment.
