Dr. Timothy Jay Louie

I have seen multiple neurologists over the last several years Dr. Louie has been one of the more thorough. He is friendly, engaging and explains things very well.

Went for my follow up appt yesterday He came up with a plan of care for me and tests to follow He is awesome

My mother went to visit Dr. Louie after a fall at work, and he never listened to her condition, called everything an "episode" and would dismiss anything she and my father said. After going to him for 2 years, he hadn't resolved any issues. And prior to their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Australia to visit me, he took her off her seizure medicine, so the trip was hindered due to the fact that she had seizures and we weren't able to do anything. Useless man, shouldn't have his license.

My mother and I found Dr Louie to be kind and competent.

I started going to Dr. Louie after another neurologist couldn’t get my medicine right for my seizures. Dr . Louie was patient. He knew what medicine would possibly work best for the breakthrough seizures I was having. He was right...I trust him. He returns my calls when I need to ask questions or I’m having problems. Very professional.

Excellent doctor

It seems that people who are dissatisfied are more likely to write reviews. I have a number of illnesses, so I have several doctors. Dr. Louie is by far my favorite. He treats me for migraines. When I first came to him, I felt that no other doctor had asked me so many questions. He has gone the extra mile to try different treatments, after my former neurologist told me I was at the end of the road. Since he joined St. Mary's, the office functions much better.

Dr Louie is easy to talk an listen to what you have to say, I have never felt like he was in a rush during my visit, not like some of the doctors I have seen that seem to be half listening to what you say. I trust Dr Louie an would highly recommend him.

If I could leave less than one star for this man I would. This man is an absolute arrogant narcissistic incompetent doctor. He misdiagnosed my wife for years with MS never questioning his diagnosis. Even though the initial tests were negative on many of them. He gave her toxic horrible drugs tha caused serious side effects and costing us thousands and thousands of dollars. Stanford specialist just confirmed she does not even have MS and he was completely wrong. Do not ever see this man,ever.

My father starting seeing Dr. Louie when he moved to Reno. My father has Parkinson's. The care or miscare he received from this "Doctor" is a joke. As someone who works in the medical field I'm infuriated by it. The rapid decline my father suffered from the mismanagement of meds by this doctor is appalling and the fact that my stepmother had to be the one who took more action than him to figure out the issue is ridiculous. If you have Parkinsons I advice you to seek treatment elsewhere.

If you want a stubborn doctor bent on easy treatments despite poor results visit Dr. Louie. Suffering from trigeminal neuralgia I was in suicidal pain for years under the complacent eyes of Dr. Louie. He never once deterred from his pill remedies despite their lack of results. I trusted him. He said there was nothing else he could do. I wanted to die. Thankfully, I decided to contact another local specialist who immediately performed microvascular decompression. I've been pain free for 8 years.
