Very focused, very attentive, and he listens. Competent, personable, and you get a sense of confidence.

A Great doctor, cares about you, shares his concerns and makes sure that you are doing well. One of my favorite.

Dr Hulst has an excellent bedside manner and did a fantastic job on my hip. I couldn’t be happier.

Dr. Hulst replaced my hip. Never a fun experience but I have to say that every interaction with Dr. Hulst was a great experience. Dr. Hulst kept me well informed about all things related to his plan for my care. Surgery went very well and I received a follow up call the next day from Dr. Hulst to check on my recovery. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Hulst to anyone needing his services. Dr. Hulst lets you believe that he truly cares for your wellbeing and future care.

Takes the time to listen how I am doing with my hip replacement. Also his team is great as well. They make it easy for me to just call before a dentist appointment so I can get the antibiotic before my visit.

One of the best surgeons I have met, explained everything about hip joint replacement pre-op and post-op recovery. Answers in detail, his patients come first. I look forward to having him replace my other hip joint in two months.

Dr. Hulst is a very friendly, personable man. He performed a hip replacement for me. He apparently did a great job because I am now pain free & 7 weeks later I am almost back to normal. I like him very much & highly recommended him if you need a hip replacement. He is also pleasant to look at.

Dr Hulst is amazing. Very personable, professional, patient, knowledgeable. Easy to talk to. Took all the time needed to answer all my questions. He was great through the entire process. Pre-surgery consultation, through hip replacement and follow up. My hip replacement surgery was six weeks ago and I'm feeling great.

I've been Dr. Hulst's patient since October 2021. Since then, he's gained my trust completely because his treatment of my hip joint have been very effective. In addition, Dr. Hulst is very caring, always puts me at ease, and treats me with respect. I now have full peace of mind that I won't suffee any long term problems with my leg and hip joint.

Great results from Dr. Hulst. I had two hip replacements done by him, one on each hip, 4 and 5 yrs. ago. Recovery time was minimal and painless. Following a short physical therapy regimen, I can declare my hips to be near perfect, rivaling the condition they were in when I was in my 20's. Surgery results were excellent, and I am able to function in a normal manner with no pain, or evidence of even having previous hip issues. I was fortunate to have Dr. Hulst as my orthopedic surgeon. Six weeks ago Dr. Hulst did a total knee replacement due to my severe osteoarthritis. I find him to be very detailed oriented, conscientious, and mission driven for a good surgical outcome. He explains medical information clearly and listens well/takes the time to answer my questions. My physical therapist is amazed at how well that my knee is recovering and I appreciate Dr. Hulst’s surgical skill. His Proliance medical team has also been exceptionally helpful and professional.

I had a knee replacement. Dr. Hulst and his team were excellent. I never felt more taken care by any other doctor or staff. They were all very compassionate in the way they take care of you.

No waiting and was given all my options and recommendations All three staff I interacted with were professional and patient focused

Dr. Hulst is informative, not rushed yet thorough, and is able to respond to questions as he gives the most gentle knee injections ever! He has a very kind manner and gives bad news very gently. Highly recommend him to others with knee trouble.

Dr. Hulst listened to my concerns and was very thorough in explaining my condition. I was given several options to take care of my knee. Each option again explained so I would understand before deciding what was best for me. Came through surgery without a hitch and recovery has been great.

Excellent care end to end, pre-surgery, surgical procedures and post-surgery.

After a nasty ski accident resulting in the need to fix breaks to my femur and hip revision surgery I have nothing but praise for the care I received from Dr. Hulst. He understands my lifestyle and the importance of doing everything possible to allow me to get back to doing what I love doing, ie. skiing - both backcountry and downhill.

Caring, thorough, professional, compassionate, never rushed…. One of the best doctors I’ve know.

I have been seeing Dr Hulst for a few years now. He is honest about the condition of my knee but is also supportive of my desire to delay replacement while I do my all to stay active in its current condition. He listens to my concerns, my current condition and the style of life I hope to lead, especially golf. I also appreciate the details he dictates about the visit, my status, our discussions and possible next steps coming up.

Dr Hulst is a talented and caring orthopedic surgeon. This was a planning visit for upcoming hip surgery. As usual he was approachable and sincere, answering all my questions,and assuaging my concerns.

I highly recommend Dr Hulst. He explained both my condition and the procedure needed to resolve my hip problem. His consultation gave me the confidence to proceed with the surgery which was very successful.

Dr Hulst performed right hip replacement surgery on me on 12/15/2021. It was a complete success and my recovery is progressing well and on schedule. He also performed left hip replacement surgery for me on 5/19/2021. It was a complete success and I have had a full recovery. I can not imagine having a better orthopedic surgeon to use for a joint replacement than Dr. Hulst. I also want to give a shout out to the whole staff at the Issaquah Proliance Sugical Unit. They were awesome and they are a great team.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hulst to others. He takes time to listen and explain things clearly. And you do not feel rushed.

Great. Got in right away. Didn't have to wait for x-ray or to see Dr. Hulst. He was quick, efficient, and listened to me.

In addition to being a talented and knowledgeable physician, Dr Hulst makes you feel like you're important, like he's listening to you and hearing you. All very important to me personally

Dr. Hulst answered all my questions. He was cheerful and realistic about my healing. I enjoyed my visit with him. He told me to call if I had any other questions.

He was a half hour late and seemed to rush through my appointment.

Dr. Hulst is very thorough in explaining options, procedures, potential complications and anticipated outcomes. He neither rushes his appointments nor pressures acceptance of what he has suggested in order to hurry the process. I felt heard and cared about and know I can trust Dr. Hulst with my orthopedic issues. I am grateful to have him as a valued resource for my care.

I would recommend DR Hulst. Dr. Hulst was very professional, thorough and took time to explain everything I needed to know for my up coming procedure.

Dr. Hulst was very professional and focused. He was also kind and listened to my concerns. His office staff, however, needs to be more focused and kind. His nurse marked the wrong hip for x-rays and put the wrong weight down and it's impossible to schedule my surgery as his scheduler never answers the phone nor returns calls. But the doctor was great!

Saw Dr. Hulst for knee consultations. He is very knowledgeable, very kind, asked lots of questions and allowed me to give him my entire history with my knees. Went through non surgical nd surgical options and really provided candid feedback on all outcomes (good and bad). Felt very heard, and acknowledged which is rare in doctors. I appreciated his approach and all the honest information he provided.

Kind, bright-eyed (masks make eyes the most prominent feature) doctor. He listened very carefully and respectfully and made a clear evaluation and recommendation, allowing me to take into account my own responsibility and control of my decision and what sort of lifestyle I hope to achieve.

Dr Hulst was professional, personable and explained everything thoroughly and very knowledgeable in his field. If I or anyone I know needs his type of services I would definitely recommend him!

Dr Hulst listens carefully and is very thorough in trying to figure out what is wrong. After xrays and MRI he referred me to someone else since my problem was not something he specializes in. I do believe he figured out what my real issue is and I'm finally on the right path to getting treatment I need.
