Dr Mendoza listens and cares about his patience

I always felt Dr. Mendoza cared about my health and he always took time to explain his recommendations.

We have be going to Dr. Mendosa for 10 plus year he one of my best Doctor. We are going to miss him I hope he has a wonderful retirement great guy. The staff at the Dr office are great to. Norm scholer

Doctor Mendoza is an amazing physician who is very intelligent and truly cares about his patience. HCA front office staff needs to have better communication and organization, there needs to be an office manager at the facility because there is not a flow beginning with the front desk.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Mendoza. He promotes a good, healthy lifestyle. He would rather see you keep yourself healthy by eating right and exercising rather than pushing pills to achieve the same results. I was lucky to find him.

Dr. Mendoza has been my primary care doctor for years now. Always takes his time. Very caring. Pushes healthy living, and that's a good thing. Great doctor.

Moms first visit with Dr. Mendoza was very pleasant. She really liked how he listened to her and respected her questions.

Dr. Mendoza and his staff are phenomenal. Unlike other doctor's, he pushes for you to better yourself instead of weighing you down with pill after pill. I am grateful to have him as my doctor.

I’ve called all day an after hour phone message comes on ! Why can’t you reach a doctors office staff an not get after hours message recording all day ?

Please look for a different doctor! This MD had a good reputation when he worked in Tallahassee. But since moving to Crawfordville recently he appears to have gone into "retirement mode." He never spent more than 15 minutes with me, doing the bare basics. He goes over lab results, checks breathing, and then out the door! If I try to present a new problem as he is trying to go, he becomes irritated and curt. And by the way, due to staff shortage, you have to go to another clinic to do your lab work, which is time consuming and can cost you out-of-pocket. He finds excuses for touching a patient as little as possible, for example he declines to do the digital exam for prostate cancer, which my previous MD always did! His medical training was in his home country, and his English is heavily accented and hard to understand. He has good command of medical terms, but if you put him "off script" by asking more detailed questions he quickly becomes very hard to understand. Also, he pads my "problem list" with anything I mentioned, even in passing, even if he does not discuss with me or recommend any treatment. Also, he coded each medical visit so that I always owed him a deductible, even when my medical insurance did not require payment of a deductible. With this many issues, it's just not worth it. My Primary Physician retired after 36 yrs. I was very hesitant looking for a new primary physician. After my daughter Inlaw told me about being very pleased with her doctor (Dr Mendoza) and me doing research I finally after 7 months have got Doctor Mendoza in Crawfordville Fl and I feel like I made a great decision. I’ve had two visits since he’s been my doctor and it’s been a great experience both times. I normally do not do reviews but felt like this was worth letting everyone know especially in Crawfordville that we have a great Doctor, Staff and facility in Crawfordville. Dr Mendoza is very caring and explained everything thoroughly where I could understand. I got X-rays and lab done all in one visit and was called by staff the next day with results. On my first appointment he advised that i would need to be seen by a specialist to have one of my medications filled. I agreed. I advised i would need help until I could get referral and appointment set up. He nodded yes. I ran out of the medicine 3 days after i saw him. Called asking for a bridge rx . He refused a life threatening medicine i had been prescribed 30+ years. I've never abused nor asked for an increase . I was forced to go to ER given enough for 3 days . An expense i couldn't afford. Do not know what to do except go to ER again when withdrawal occurs ; then no choice but to do inpatient detox. Stopping medicine suddenly could cause death of me. I've never had a dr. Refuse to not help! Definitely put me in harms way. Vs. Do no harm. Unbelievable with many other medical dr."s agreement. Dr. Mendoza takes his time to talk to patients and answer all their concerns. His staff is very friendly and professional and handles the COVID restrictions well.

I was looking for a care provider in my network and called. They made me an appointment in less than 2 weeks which was pretty quick due to the COVID pandemic. Dr Mendoza is friendly, and he is really focused on my health. he expend time with me, with not rush, and has resolved any health problem that I have in a good way. Totally recommended.

Upon moving from Houston TX to Tallahassee FL, I was in great need of finding a primary care doctor for my mother and I. Glad to say, I discovered Dr. Jose Mendoza, MD who had his office at Capital Regional Medical Center. My mother and I were one of his first patients. Dr. Mendoza was always very kind and loving with my elderly mother and I. answered our questions, informed us when we needed yearly shots, took time to communicate with us without being in a hurry to push us out the door to see his next patient. Even though Dr. Mendoza moved his office from Tallahassee FL to Crawfordville FL, my mother and I chose to keep Dr. Mendoza as our PCP. I have just experienced the best physician visit I have had in a long time. Dr. Mendoza and his staff were outstanding. From the initial contact with Stacey [great personality] to the the blood work by Kenny. Sherra took her time with me and listened to my problems. She was both friendly and very professional as were all. I felt very comfortable and was really happy I made the trip to Crawfordville. Dr. Mendoza was both thorough and engaging. he made me very comfortable. He is both knowledgeable, professional and seemed genuinely interested in me as a patient. The new office looked great. I was a patient of Dr Mendoza snd he is amazing, he takes time with his patients and is very thorough. I had to change gr doctors once he moved but I am trying to go back with him.

He seems to care about the patient, and listens closely. A gentle touch and easy to talk to.

I just moved to the area and wanted a primary so I would not have to drive 1hr to go to the Dr. I came in and the first words out of his mouth was I am not a Xanax Dr. and yes I do take that drug but that was not what I was there for what so ever! I have serious skin conditions and severe nerve damage for every one of my symptoms he wanted to send me to a specialist all of which my primary that I had before were aware of and following up with because there is no cure!!!!!!!! He would not refill my meds that work fine that I thought he did. When I went and picked up my script it was not what I had been taking! I had 1 Steroid cream that 1 tube lasted me 4yrs if this guy had taken the time to read my records he would have known. I guess some people think they know everything after many,many,trips to specialists already I do not need to see his(money game). I did not come in seeking drugs!!!!!!!! I came in looking for a life time doctor being new to the area. I found a guy that seems like to me that he is covering his butt for stuff he has done in the past or is still doing to this day. I have worked in the medical field as have my whole family and that does not make me a DR but it does make me aware and be aware I will not give him the respect of calling him a DR again.

Dr. Mendoza is my primary care physician for the past two years. He has always been very pleasant, easy to talk to, and is very thorough in his check up on me. He spends time to explain his findings and answer any questions. He is an excellent and very knowledgeable.

I had a very informative and a good visit with Dr. Mendoza. He explained that most of my labwork has improved substantially, and that because of this I only needed to come back in six months instead of three. He is a very thoughtful physician, and always knows what's going on with me and is good about answering questions I have with real solutions.

This was my annual visit to Dr. Mendoza. As I have said before, Dr. Mendoza is one of the three best physicians I have had in over 75 years. He is smart and empathetic with great listening skills. My wife and I both consider him an excellent caregiver.

I saw Dr Mendoza last week. He was courteous, kind, and concerned about patient well-being. He's one of the finest physicians I have ever met.

Dr. Mendoza released me as a patient two days before Thanksgiving. I have two scripts that are due to be filled and he refused to fill them. I have to wait three weeks to see my new Dr. and I'm going to be without one prescription for diabetes and one for anxiety and depression. First do no harm? No. Look elsewhere

I suspect the Dr. Mendoza is a good doctor but I never got to meet him and never will at this point. In a nutshell, the administrative staff at this office are a nightmare. My old doctor retired so I picked Mendoza from a list. I got a first time patient appointment several months down the line. No problem with that. However I have a medication that I am expected to take daily. I knew it would run out before the scheduled appointment. I explained my dilemma to the intake staff and asked if it could be filled before my scheduled appointment. They basically had no solution and kept repeating "policy" to me. I am interested in solutions and proactive healthcare not in medication lapses and being schooled about internal policies. These people who run this office SUCK. Very attentive and friendly.

Dr. Mendoza and his staff are extremely friendly, kind and patient. He listens and encourages healthy living as opposed to medication which just puts bandaids on the problem. I am glad he is our doctor.

Had a visit with Doctor Mendoza, he was very intently listening to what I had to say. He listen to me the patient, he didn’t cut me off like so many Doctors do. I enjoy someone that listens to what the patient has to say. He also treats my Mom who is going to be 88 this year. Dr. Mendoza takes the time to listen to you and is open to your suggestions to his diagnosis, that are always accurate. He make you feel welcome to his practice well as his nurse.

Nurse Lisa and Dr. Mendoza make my trip to the Doctor as pleasant as it can be. They both should be considered tremendous asset to this medical group.

We moved to Tallahassee in August of 2016 and one of our primary concerns upon relocating was finding a Doctor to look after our health. We could not be more please with the level of care we reeive from Dr Mendoza. He takes time to listen to our concerns and obviously takes great care in reviewing my lab results and other preventive health care tests. He is quick to recommend life style improvements that will offer health benefits but is never judgemental or critical. Best Doctor ever!!

My husband and I are new to the Tallahassee area. We lived in the Boston area all of our lives. It has not been easy for us to find health care that we are accustomed to here. I find Dr. Mendoza to be professional, approachable and very attentive. He listens, is open to my suggestions and makes his own recommendations. He never makes me feel rushed. Listened to and directly focused on me as a person/patient each and every time I have seen him. Accurate, detailed memory and notes to prove it. Great staff, personable, competent and efficient. Clean environment, short wait times yet enough time to cover any concerns and get clear understanding of treatment options and their ramifications.

Dr. Mendoza was recommended to my husband and I when our primary care physician retired. Change can be a scary thing; when we met Dr Mendoza it was like we already knew him. Dr. Mendoza was very caring and showed a genuine concern for my well being. He was not rushed at all. He took the time to answer all my questions. My visit was pleasant and reassuring.

My husband and I both are patients of DR Mendoza, and are very satisfied with the quality of service and care we receive from DR Mendoza.. I would highly recommend his services. I find him to be very caring and concerned with any problem we might have and he always works towards a solution to our problems.

As a new patient I found Dr Mendoza to be very thorough, professional and attentive, He was well prepared for my visit and knowledgeable about my previous medical history. I am appreciative that I am a new patient of Dr Mendoza

His wait time is 1-1/2 hours. His follow up does not exist. Had routine tests done last year, assumed everything was fine because I did not get a call or any communication. Found out the tests that I had done, I was diagnosed with a condition that was never communicated to me and I could have been doing something to improve this condition with the right information and medication. He rushes you in and out and does not have concern for his patients.

I am 75 years old and Dr. Mendoza ranks among the best if not the finest doctor that I have ever been to. The professionalism and friendliness from the Dr. Mendoza's support staff is exceptional all in all it is a very rewarding experience.

Dr. Mendoza went through all of the the lab results with me, explaining everything, positive and negative. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. I am very comfortable with Dr. Mendoza and feels that he cares about his patients.

Excelent doctor

Both my parents are new patients and went to see Dr. Mendoza for the first time a couple of weeks ago and they were both pleased with him. He took the time to listen and understand their concerns. The fact that he speaks Spanish is a plus.

Dr. M is an outstanding person and physician...his interest in you personally is inspiring....he is always open to your comments and recommendations...I recommend him unequivocally....tks B

Dr. Mendoza is an excellent physician. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and complaints. He is also great at explaining conditions and labs and x-rays in a clear, easy to understand manner. He is passionate about good health and encourages his patients to make changes that will benefit his/her health, but not in a way that is offensive. He uncovered a health issue almost immediately, for me, when another doctor ignored the signs for 3 years. He's one of Tallahassee's finest!

Dr. Mendoza been my parents doctor around a year ago. He is profesional and he take the time with the patient and family member to explain every single step. I decided to have him as my family doctor. Awesome staff very friendly.

The staff and nurses are friendly and very helpful! Dr. Mendoza Is excellent Proffesional and very commitment with patient.

Doctor is great, but his staff f is incompetent. Rarely do the phones get answered timely, and twice they sent in a prescription refill for the wrong medication (one I don't take).

He was straight and to the point and very informational about things that I need to start doing. There was not a long wait for him to come into the exam room and that is a big plus for me because at my last doctor's officer there was a long wait in the waiting room then you had to wait a long time in the exam room waiting for the doctor to come in and talk to you. He is also very punctual.
