Julie Alice Ashton

Dr. Ashton was the primary care physician for both my children. Came in for a well visit for my daughter and we waited almost an hour to be seen. I asked for another doctor to come in to see my daughter, but they were all busy. Finally, Dr. Ashton came in to see my daughter. She was abrupt, rude, and I felt like I was an inconvenience for her. We never went back again.

Dr. Ashton is the primary physician for my 2 boys and we have been seeing her for over 7 years. I have never had anything but a positive experience with her. She’s got a great bedside manner, always spends time answering my questions and easing the general anxiety that comes along with having kids. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Ashton was my childhood pediatrician and I adore her. She's patient, thorough, and always explains exactly what is wrong and how to proceed. She doesn't just speak to the parents either, she makes sure you personally know what is going on. She isn't dismissive of mental health problems at a young age either, she is very supportive in working with my psychiatrist to make sure I had the best care. Wait time can be long and frustrating, but it's not really her fault if patients take longer.

We have seen her for over ten years at sick appts only-she's not our primary in this practice. I feel like she's a somewhat OK doctor but would rather see a doctor that is caring. She normally makes us wait for 40-60mins and then goes through the motions and rushes us through. This review reflects the 10years of visits. Can I deal with her lack of empathy as well as her lateness? Sure. Do I want to? Not really.
