I had her in charlotte for an ovarian cyst surgery. I had to wait months to get surgery even though I was at high risk of losing my ovary. but that wasn't the bad part. not only while in surgery did she nic my bowel but she never checked if I had endometriosis which I was told is a standard for those types of surgeries. now I have to have ANOTHER surgery to check if I have it. she also diagnosed me with vaginismus. I have to refuse internal inspections and ultrasounds because of it. she did a surprise inspection with her hand and when I cried out in pain and then had tears in my eyes. she told me to calm down it was only her hand. when that's the whole deal with vaginismus. after the "inspection," she said I didn't have endometriosis. That's not how you check.

At first, Dr. Payne was great. She seemed like a light at the end of a tunnel of numerous doctors that were unhelpful and dismissive. Then she just randomly ghosted me without warning! Didn’t answer voicemails, texts, emails, no letter in the mail, nothing. I kept trying and trying and didn’t know what was going on. I’ve just now read another review that said she moved to North Carolina? TWO states away?! How can a doctor just up and ditch their patients with no warning whatsoever?! This lady does not care about her patients. If I could give negative stars I would. If you value your health and your baby’s health find another provider. The first two visits I had were fine then right before my third visit she cancelled and said she would call me tomorrow to reschedule. Tomorrow turned into 3 weeks and I had not heard from her about rescheduling my appointment. This is my first time being pregnant and the neglect and no response has been atrocious. How can you as a doctor ghost your patient and not try to contact them and let them know what is going on? I called, I texted, I left voicemails and finally I went back up to her office, which is not close to me at all, only to find out that that’s not even her office and she only has rooms there and the office truly belongs to another practicing Doctor. So I finally found another legit doctor that is affiliated with a hospital and has a credible team only to be told I need my medical records from Dr. Payne in order to be seen. I called and texted her begging and pleading to send my medical records to my new doctor and when I finally got hold of her she assured me she sent them, which she never did and they never got them. So I kept calling her and she did not pick up but she texted me she sent them and that’s was not what I had been informed. So I was able to get her on the phone after the 20th call and she said she would email me within 15mins...15mins have come and gone and I’m still waiting on my medical records. I say all this to say I never leave reviews but I feel it is my duty to warn all expectant mothers out there DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. SHE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT YOU AS A PATIENT AND SHE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT YOUR UNBORN CHILD. This is the last thing I expected to be going through during a pandemic. She seemed so nice my first two visits but when it came down to it she ghosted me and never provided any solid reason for her behavior (not that any behavior could justify her actions and unprofessionalism). Update on my previous review... I’m pregnant with my first child and Dr. Payne has made my first experience horrible so far. The lack of follow ups, profile update, and cancellation of appointments at the last minute. I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant and I had my appointment scheduled for this past Wednesday at 10am. Dr. Payne calls me at 9:00am to inform me she has a new job in North Carolina and that I will have to find a new doctor and that my appointment is canceled today..... so you couldn’t have told me this 4 weeks ago! I was also informed my medical records will be uploaded and I will receive referrals I haven’t received either! I’m so glad she won’t be delivering my baby! Update on my previous review... My first experience with Dr. Payne was ok. I went to her for a health complication and I was advised by my Doctor to see an experienced OBGYN. Dr. Payne seemed flustered at our visit and her Staffman Sean McGregor had to come in to assist her with using the machine to take my blood pressure. I was alarmed by this but figured it could happen to the best of us right? Fast forward 3 months later it has been an incessant circle of excuses, lack of communication and missing accountability on her part. When I email her using the Portal that was suggested to me she never responds. If and when I am able to speak with her she says the portal is broken but then will insist she sent me communication through the "broken" portal. Once, my labs took 5 weeks to return. I called and called, emailed several times and finally they told me they had my labs but when they were uploaded to the portal they were labs from a much older visit. When I addressed this with the doctor she finally admitted they had misplaced my labs which required I come in again for a 3rd visit for the issue I had been trying to rectify with her from my initial visit. Things got so bad I just asked that she give me a referral somewhere else. She has NOT given me that referral as I requested so I will follow up on this another way. Everytime I called the staff would say the Doctor will give you a call back yet I never received one. Also the information one staff gave me was not the same as another. I felt as if I was getting the run around for some odd reason. It was just very unprofessional to me and I didn’t feel like anyone was truly concerned.

Wonderful doctor. Truly had my best interests in mind.

I love dr Payne. She’s very welcoming and funny.

I like that she’s a hands on doctor, she’s not scared to step in & handle vital signs or to answer the phone if her staff is not available.

The wait was minimal, Dr. Payne was efficient and had a great bedside manner. She made an uncomfortable doctors visit relaxing and was very informative.

The service was a 10/10! From the first call to make the appointment to the virtual visit! Sean, was very helpful and patience. He help me set up the video call step by step and even though I was having some difficulty in the beginning he made the process a lot smoother. The visit with Doctor Karroll Payne was so nice and fast. It only took about 15 minutes and she explained everything so it was easy to understand and in a friendly manager. Worst officer ever I asked them for the appointment first they were not able to give me appointment for 2 months and than this finally after scheduling the appointment night before the appointment I get a text at 10 pm stating they have to cancel the appointment due to their new location is not being approved for the CO and they will let me know when they were able to reschedule my appointment in 36 hours .... past 36hrs no call or response

Despite the reviews, I needed an OBGYN in Baton Rouge to see for my pregnancy and due to my ER visit, soon. I’d just moved from another state and had no doctor. She had appointments available so I took it. My initial appointment made me feel like a transaction. Although I knew I was over 6 weeks Dr. Payne didn’t think so, and told me, “my dates didn’t add up” and that she didn’t think I was that far along. So even though I was high risk due to a previous missed miscarriage she didn’t do an ultrasound because she said, “my hcg levels wouldn’t be high enough." Now I knew they would be because I’d just left the ER days before with levels that would’ve put me at the 2,000 she said I needed. Off putting, I went back for my 2nd visit, no heart doppler, just cultures. I’m almost 10 weeks, my third appointment is days away and her nurse calls to say I’d come to my appointment but see another doctor. Thank God I’d already found another doctor that seems to care more. Cancel me please.

My experience with Dr Payne was good. She further explained to me my situation as far why my oncologist wanted me to do what was requested. so in other words she took the time out to voluntarily confirm what my oncologist said. she listened to my request and why I was making the request. Her nurse was extremely nice and professional and the wait time for the waiting room as well as the examining room was normal. She also did something that a Gyn had not even gave a thought of doing, something I have never heard of being done. So hands up to Dr Payne all the way and she will be recommended to anyone who will be looking for a ob/gyn

My experience with Dr Payne was amazing. She was the only one in the practice that took the time to really hear me. She addressed all my concerns and gave me a treatment plan that really worke.

DO NOT GO HERE. While the doctor is pretty nice and easy to deal with, she js not worth the pain and hassle of dealing with her receptionist, Sean. He is rude, unprofessional and completely lacks compassion for someone coming in to a see a doctor! Patients do not need the added stress of dealing with his bad attitude- he has yelled at me and hung up on me while speaking. They also never pick up their phones and voicemail is always full. How does one even get in touch? Glad to be done with them!!

We waited an hour and 15 minutes before seeing the doctor. The computer system was down, so she couldn't take notes at our appointment. She did not bother to write anything down. The office was dirty and outdated. They ran out of printing paper for the sonogram and told us to take a picture of the screen with our phone. They didn't have enough of anything. Front desk staff is rude and unprofessional. Not up front about costs. Hung up the phone on us. I did not trust them to deliver my baby.

I left a positive review concerning Dr. Karroll Payne and her office staff at the Dunwoody, GA location, however, I now have a change of heart. I had a positive experience with Dr. Payne, but her male receptionist is absolutely rude and unprofessional. He called me requesting that I come in for a follow up. I told him I had to make arrangements with my job. He very rudely stated, "Well, you do need treatment!" His attitude affected my work day and left me worrying.

If you are ready to step into the PSYCHIATRIC hospital, this is the place for you. This particular doctor was recommended to me from a friend that once received care from Dr. Frankenstein. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would rather have gone to a clinic than to waste my time at that appointment.The receptionist, Sean, was snarky and unwelcoming. Dr. Payne "didn't realize" I was an OB appt and didn't bring her doppler. She refused to measure my baby, or give a referral to a specialist, until she received my previous medical records, despite my lack of prenatal care for 6 wks due to an insurance change. She gave me NO information besides, "Here's the baby's heartbeat." WASTE.OF.TIME.UNPROFESSIONAL.

Dr Mcgregor gave me several pamphlets to review. The pamphlets only provided positive information about the different birth control methods.
