Dr. Kenneth K Liao

First time seeing Dr. Liao and I already felt comfortable. He is very engaging and will explain the issue before performing any dental procedure. He is thorough and knowledgeable. I also find him as a gentle and kind human being. I definitely reccomend him. Update: I just didn't have time to update my review, but I would some of the good things I said about the doctor. Thanks to google for remimding me. I don't usually write reviews specially if it will tarnish someone's reputation but it feels that it's necessary.I had a very bad experience during my second visit. He performed the root canal on the wrong tooth, the good and perfect tooth. I was swollen and in pain for 2 weeks because my gum was cut. He was rushing without reading thoroughly the referral chart. On the other hand, I will not retract that he is a nice person. Just make sure that you discuss everything before he does any procedure.

Painless root canal retreatment. Dr.Liao is gentle, kind and caring. Just alittle hard to find parking around the area.

I took my son's to his regular dentist to get a filling. The x-ray showed the cavity touched the nerve so he needed to see an endodontist. We were able to go straight to Dr. Liao's office and my son was able to get a root canal right away! Everyone was friendly and professional - it greatly exceeded my expectations!

I was referred to Dr. Liao by my primary dentist for a root canal; I don’t do well with new Dr.’s and it takes a while for my anxiety will allow me to trust someone new. I can’t say more than EXCEPTIONAL! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I was very very late and lost for my first appointment and I was greeted with smiles. I was stressed and Dr. Liao assured me that I would be fine. The procedure went so well and he was so gentle that I barely knew he had starred and was almost through. After I thought I would be in pain that night or the next day; and I had no pain and did not have to take the pain meds prescribed. I am a very happy customer!!!! Great service very fast and polite

It was very hard to find endodentis in our network and The Dr was very professional and good, hard to find parking around Astoria.

My insurance gave me a list of Endodontist I went to four everyone wanted out of pocket money or said it couldn’t be done! Dr Liao did it today I didn’t even feel the needle great job.

I would like to say my experience having a root canal done for the first time with Dr. Kenneth Liao was a good one . He made me feel at ease because I explained I was nervous, staff and his assistant were great as well . I do recommend him if you need a root canal done.

Dr. Liao explains everything. He doesn't drill if you don't need it. I can say this is the first dentist that I trust 100% to treat the problem and do it pain free. So happy I found this practice.

Not only was the office hot no air conditioner I was not able to stay with my minor child because of it. No emotions whatsoever it’s like I was the problem and not the environment we were in. All the patients who came in had a complaint about the temperature never again. I’d rather travel before I come here again. It’s not a safe work space with heat. I do not recommend Dr Liao. When he performed my root canal, I was feeling pain. He did not address the issue by giving me more anesthesia nor did he wait, he continued drilling causing me to burst out in tears. I will never go to him ever again. Honestly I can’t say enough about Dr Liao. I was always afraid to go to the dentist and he honestly takes away all those fears. He’s very patient and always goes out of his way for you to not feel any pain and also walks you through the whole process. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Stay away!!!- Dr Liao did apical surgery on me. He did not cut gum straight and he did not stitch up completely and left opened holes. He knew it and he did not give me any antibiotic to prevent infection. How I suffered...I got bad infection, now I need surgical extraction on this tooth. Don't believe whatever this office say to you.. They told me medicare would pay for biopsy. The next day they called and said, they did not belong to network and want me to pay. They should know.

He did my root canal a month back and I'm having pain in that tooth since two weeks. I went to him and he just doesn't admit that there is anything wrong and asked me to eat pain killers. That's it ! Who does that?

My wife had a root canal in another office with no pain at all. But when I went to Dr. Liao I suffered a lot of pain to the the point of me screaming. As well as I suffered pain for two hours strait when he was working on my tooth.

My dentist referred me for a root canal. Dr. Liao is very cold and doesn't tell you anything or allow time for questions. He didn't allow any time for the anesthesia to kick in so he essentially operated on my teeth without. I've experienced 2 root canals before going here, so I know this is not normal. I was screaming. At one point, Dr. Liao stopped to say, "Don't scream. You'd scare my other patients." As if it didn't even occur to him that he operating on me without proper anesthesia!

Staff is entirely nonchalant when you need emergency assistance, voicemail states calls will be returned promptly -- promptly is about 3 to 4 days turnaround time. Excessively long wait for an appointment. Entire lack of empathy to patients. You're made to feel like an invasive part of their day, not a patient they care about or care to treat. Worst doctor's office I've ever been to.
