Do not go to this practice at all!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!!!!!!!! Extremely rude staff. I had an appointment that I had to cancel because I did not remember it until Friday and it was out of my budget. I was not able to call the practice as they were closed on the weekend. When I made the appointment I asked about a payment plan and the girl said they would call you closer to the appointment time, (no one believed this) no one did until Friday and the voicemail left was to confirm the appointment nothing about no payment plan. Called to cancel thought that it was done. Only for rude Carla to call me to argue with me about paying a cancellation fee of 20%. She literally argued with me as a customer then hung up. I wish she had did that and said all that to my face!!! Then I called back and spoke to the supervisor at the practice about the Carla, she was just as rude. I had to remind her that as a customer who was complaining she hasn’t apologized about Carla behavior!!!! It was then that she apologized, of course she did not mean it. She argued me down as well and telling me that they are right and I am wrong. Issue is still not resolved, I may pay the 20% or not. Uncaring staff!!! Then she said if I had answered my phone on Friday this could have been resolved!!!! How dare you??? How do you know what I was doing to have not answered my phone??? I told her to play the recording and hear the way I was treated!!! I doubt the calls are recorded. She was just as bad!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DENTAL PRACTICE!!!I have never experienced this type of behavior from a company before!!! Do not go to this practice at all!!!

I had a an absolutely horrific experience with Dr McLaughlin which left me in agony for months. He even sewed through my cheek and my lip by mistake as he was finishing up. After, I found out he was in need of back surgery and taking time off. I still have PTSD from this experience and am totally stressed out now just going to my normal dentist. Dr. Kevin McLaughlin is a wonderfully skilled and kind oral surgeon, referred to me by an incredible dentist. He performed my wisdom teeth extractions and an implant. He was gentle and reassuring, I did NOT experience pain, and he called me afterwards to check on how I was doing. I think he is the best.

Dr McLaughlin stated that he was too busy and was leaving for vacation and that the pain was normal. As I have previously had 3 successful implants, I knew this pain was not normal, but, the doctor would not see me. The next week when I went in to see the doctor on call, he refused to touch the area and said Dr McLaughlin would have to take care if it when he came back. As a result, I was left with exposed bone for weeks. When Dr McLaughlin did come back he removed the implant saying it didn’t take. He was shaky, irritable and even got angry at the assistant and sewed through my lip and my cheek by mistake while closing up. I was in horrible agony for months. As I was checking out, the nurse told me Dr McLaughlin having back surgery and would be out for the next month or so recovering. I would NOT recommend.

This office told me my insurance covered a visit, when in fact it didnt. They told me again and again that my insurance would cover it for 6 months and then sent me a late payment notice. These guys are crooks. There are plenty of other oral surgeons to visit in the area who will not scam you and give you attitude for being upset about it. Dishonest & would steer clear of this practice entirely! My dentist recommended them and going to update her on this experience. I went for a pre-check up with Dr. Kevin McLaughlin and his office followed-up the next day with cost for surgery, which was an "in network" cost with our provider, Cigna. After the surgery, I paid the agreed upon costs prior to leaving the office. Afterwards, I get an $800+ bill to pay and followed-up with Cigna, which said they were out-of-network with my coverage (certainly not as they represented). They proceeded to write off their error but continue to try to get more $$ for their misrepresentation. See others here have had similar experiences and regret I didn't see these earlier. I went to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and barely have any swelling today. I’m 26 and have put this off for some time due to being scared. Dr. McLaughlin and his team were amazing! Brenda in particular was super kind and made me feel safe/calm. If you’re nervous about getting wisdom teeth removed, go see Dr. McLaughlin- he and his team are incredible. I’m so happy I went to him! I recently went to Dr. McLaughlin's office to have two teeth removed. His associate Dr. Trofa did the extractions with great care and gentleness. I had no pain during or after the procedure. The healing was uneventful. I then saw Dr. McLaughlin for a check up visit with the same care and understanding. And then the staff... a wonderful group of people with a ready smile and comforting words. I highly recommend this office if the need arises.

Dr. M is great and has helped me immensely. He explains things in simple terms and will always do what is best for you without trying to push procedures, you frankly don't need. In extreme circumstances like mine, he even took time out of his weekend to see me and called in an antibiotic for an infected tooth on a Saturday night. I can say I have been around the block with dentists and oral surgeons with my hockey career and have only come across a one or two doctors I trust. I have never written a review about a doctor, non the less an oral surgeon but when someone really goes out of there way to help you out like Dr M did for me, I think its warranted. I was referred to Norwalk OMS for 3 extractions and an implant. First of all, I was overwhelmed by how open they were about everything, from explaining my options for the implant procedure to their openness about total cost. The staff, from the Receptionist to the Dentist were so amazingly pleasant, helpful and just in general amazing. I would recommend them to anyone who asked. Dr. McLaughlin removed 4 of my daughter's wisdom teeth. It was a difficult procedure. He is very careful and very caring. The staff is very helpful. She got 2 dry sockets and had to go back about 6 times for gauze to be placed over the wounds and each time they put us in the exact slot that we requested. There was no additional charge for any of these appointments. A great team. I highly recommend Dr. McLaughlin. Dr. McLaughlin removed 4 of my daughter's wisdom teeth. It was a difficult procedure. The best oral surgeon there is! My surgery could not have gone more smoothly, he made sure i was comfortable every step of the way and even called to see how I was doing a few hours after surgery. He's not only a great doctor, but a great person.

I'm a 49 year old woman who had one wisdom tooth out. Dr. McLaughlin was very patient with me at the consult especially when I explained that I'm a baby when it comes to pain. He provided me with the right amount of meds and laughing gas to not even know what was happening during the extraction. When it was over I told him "I'd do that again it was so easy!" Dr. McLaughlin is an awesome doctor! He removed my wisdom teeth and was so incredibly nice and was just honestly the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! He explained everything step by step and it is obvious that he truly cares about his patents and their well being. Very bad and painful experience 2 surgeries in the same tooth and anyway I lost my front tooth for an infection.

Dr. McLaughlin is very experienced and personable. At my consultation for wisdom teeth extraction he discussed all of my surgical options including risks and benefits of the various procedures. His office staff is friendly and professional and always made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommended Dr. McLaughlin to anyone needing dental surgery who is looking for a professional and welcoming clinic in the Fairfield County area.

My two boys (18 and 23) had wisdom teeth removed on a Thursday. Dr. McLaughlin was such an excellent surgeon that they had essentially no pain, no bruising and were back to normal activity (exercising and going to a concert!) by Saturday. A great office and an excellent surgeon. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Dr. McLaughlin. I have total confidence in his expertise - he has performed a number of procedures related to both my teeth and jaw. In addition to his expertise and skill as a dental surgeon, he is caring and very accessible and also willing to spend the time to connect with my other physicians. His staff is also terrific.
