Kristina Marie Hallett

DANGER - this psychologist should not be offering treatment to patients! I recently met with Dr. Kristina Hallett for 2 sessions and was shocked with her approach to treatment. When discussing my past life events and current situation she was judgemental and overtly critical - e.g., "you should not have done this / that was a big mistake, etc." I contacted her via email and let her know I had concerns about her approach. I received an email response she was "referring me out". Over the course of my life, I have met with 4 different psychologists for various life issues and am familiar with psychological treatment methods. Passing judgement on a patient offers no benefit to a patient in a vulnerable situation. The other inappropriate indicator - she had a very large Black Lives Matter sign in her office. I have filed a complaint re: Dr. Kristina Hallett with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and the Ethics Committee of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Hallett is a compassionate psychologist who truly provides outstanding care. Her style is approachable, friendly, and humorous, but she also knowledgeable and skilled in her work. Highly recommend Dr. Hallett for working with professionals, individuals with trauma, and even those who are a little hesitant to do therapy.
