Dr. Kyle B Heron

I previously had a tumor removed from my spine which caused nerve damage. I was referred to Dr Heron because of my severe left leg pain. I have tried almost everything else, and nothing has worked including surgeries and medication‘s. This man saved my life and gave me my life back. I have a medication pump. Dr Heron is very kind and understanding. He takes the time to listen to me even though he is extremely busy. I highly recommend Dr Heron especially if you’ve already tried everything else to relieve your pain.

Dr. Heron has been taking care of my pain for years. He goes above and beyond to help me with pain, no other Doctor has done that for me. I highly recommend Dr. Heron he is by far the best in the Modesto area.

Please look forward, the list of carelessness in this office is just reckless. No one here will care enough to assist you after your initial visit. The doctors oath is no longer a priority.

This dr.has no bed side manner. Never introduced himself, no exception of the procedure,no good bye.i had to ask his assistant,where the doctor was,when he finished?

Dr. Heron has been taking care of me for years. I have read about a lot of complaints, mainly about his staff. I will agree some of the staff are not the best. Dr. Heron and his Assistant have taken great care of me. Countless injections and visits. I highly recommend Dr. Heron, he is the best pain specialist in the area. My life has been miserable from pain, Dr. Heron has gone above and beyond any Doctor I have ever had to relieve my pain and make my life better. Highly Recommended for pain management.

My husband was the one who actually saw Dr. Heron after a month of waiting to try to get an appointment. When he was finally scheduled, he liked him very much. However, in trying to obtain the meds he was prescribed, the pharmacist told my husband they would only be able to give him 28 instead of the prescribed 104. Upset, confused, and in pain, my husband called the doctor's office. He was distraught and frustrated about the pharmacist not providing the prescribed amount of meds. In explaining this to office staff, he came off as rude and abusive. Office personnel took offense even though he apologized for the comments he had made in frustration. He explained it was because of the pain he was in, but she refused to listen. He wrote a note to the physician apologizing, she intercepted it and told him she was refusing to prescribe him more medication, she is refusing to make him another appt, and she is refusing to provide him with his epidural, even though the insurance authorized the epidural. Although my husband should not have treated the office staff in the manner he did, he did apologize and should have been given another chance. He is in A LOT of pain and can barely walk. So, this is a warning: If you need pain management, you had better speak kindly to the staff or you will receiving nothing!!! Avoid if you can. I would give 0 stars! Waited 3 hours in the waiting room because they triple booked the appointment. Nurse finally comes out, NO MASK AND VISIBLY SICK, coughs in the waiting room and then decides to pull her mask up. Both dr Heron and assistant were maskless as well as 2 other patients in the waiting room. I expect better from a doctor's office. Ridiculous. Will be notifying the city for the violations. I will not be returning as obviously they do not value their patients lives nor time. Avoid if you can. I would give 0 stars! I would recommend Dr. Heron to anyone in need of true care and relief from chronic or acute pain. From the outside I do not look like the typical person with chronic pain, I am young and try to keep a “strong” persona. I have been ignored by many doctors who would solely prescribe medication and say goodbye. Dr. Herron listens. He is the only doctor I have ever felt comfortable opening up to. He cares if a medication doesn’t work, and will actively look into alternative actions to get you back to normal life. I can’t express how amazing and life changing it is to have Dr. Heron in your corner fighting for you and your health! I recommend Dr. Heron and his staff. They are professional and kind. I trust Dr. Heron. There is a long wait for an appointment. He is a great Doctor and I don't mind waiting.

Had to wait outside 10 minutes in 100+ degree weather for someone to come take my temp. due to COVID-19. After waiting approximately 1/2 hour inside, I was told it would be "an hour or two" to see the Dr. This was a scheduled appointment! When Dr. came in, he wasn't wearing a face mask, despite all staff & patients being required to. Next, scheduled for procedure on 9/15 at 8:00 a.m. Got there & was told I was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Scheduling & wait times terrible, Dr. not taking COVID-19 precautions. Will look for another pain management doctor. Very dissatisfied!

I absolutely love Doctor Heron and Doctor David. They actually made me feel heard and treated me like a human.

My insurance changed so I had to find another pain manager so I came to Heron. I saw him 3 x’s in excruciating pain in my lower hip an back. I wanted an epidural, which I have had before. He decided to do a SI joint injection on March 5th on March 7th I could not walk and have been in a wheelchair & walker. I had to go to the ER 2x’s and his office twice. His demeanor & personality is terrible. His staff laughed at a patient who was in pain and couldn’t wait any longer and the minute she walked out of there office the staff started making fun of her and laughed at her. I am discussed. My last visit he didn’t apologize and just said I guess we should have given you a epidural. I removed him as my doctor. Not walking for two months has ruined my life. Still I am out my deductible for the ER twice and his office visits and the hospital I had the procedure. He still gets paid. Why is that? FYI be aware!!!

New to the area and trying to replace my wonderful caregiver in Salt Lake. Dr Jeff Jones was indifferent and dismissive. I am in severe pain waiting for an appointment in 2 MONTHS for a pain relieving spine injection. My previous Dr.s wait was 3 to 5 DAYS@

I see Dr. Heron (and his team!) in Modesto. The first time I met him, in 2009- Stockton Office, I was so nervous bc Doctors usually think everyone is seeking drugs. But he was great- Relaxed, personable and easy to talk to. Dr. Heron believed my pain and helped relieve it for short term and in the long term. He was willing to try unconventional methods to suit my needs (spinal cord stimulator for pelvic pain) and it has helped tremendously. I’m able to live an active lifestyle again. I also want to say that the staff is friendly and super respectful and I love them! I’m partial to my staff who came from Stockton, lol, but everyone has done a great job working w me over the last 9 years! I see Dr. Heron (and his team!) in Modesto. My first experience was how cruel and demeaning the staff are toward patients. No reason for it. One would think by now the office staff who participate in this negative behavior would be ordered to take classes on how to be forth right and kind. I would bring in new staff. I am glad to know I am not the only one who has been mistreated by Dr. Herons staff. Sadly, it seems they do everything they can to not simply follow through with small issues, instead blowing them out of proportion sad.

They truly care about their patients. At least Dr. Heron & his staff do. I've not seen any of the other physicians with whom shares his office space.

I love Dr. Heron. He listens and has a great bedside manner. I also see Beth regularly and I really really like her. I would highly recommend Dr. Heron and Beth.

He is an amazing Dr! He listens, does not judge, is willing to try new things to come up with solutions, and goes out of his way to help. I don't know what I'd have done without his help over the past many months. He always has a positive attitude, great personality, and puts patients(not just me)at ease. He sometimes runs late, but is worth the wait, as he listens to each patient as long as necessary, he doesn't rush/cut them off. I always look forward to seeing him and am thankful for his help

A busy busy Physician, Dr Heron is kind and makes my husband and I feel like I am the only person that day in procedure he is great it is a maybe 15 minutes . I like to know & see what he is doing he explains. His surgical scrubs are so cool! He works on my L spine. His staff in his office are cheerful. His staff at surgery center are same that to me speaks volumes of the physician his support staff .

So dr heron has an obligation to his patients to maintain a respectful office staff and nursing! His rn beth imposes her beliefs and feelings on patients even if it means lots of suffering for patient! Beth lies to impose her will........ The office staff is a whole different issue the doc needs to address. They have screwed me out of over a year of my life due to negligence and pure disregard for people in pain! I am bein forced to find a different path then this office due to these things!

I live Dr Heron. He fixed one side of my back and it feels so much better! I would always stay w Dr Heron if I could. He's very knowledgeable, great bedside manor, good looking, and just did a great job all around. I just wish he was in a different office. Hard to deal with.

I drive from Galt to modesto because he knows what he's doing and does it right. I would follow him to Fresno if i had to. Staff is wonderful friendly and timely.

Was impressed with Dr. Heron on initial visit. However, staff is difficult to deal with. Had diagnostic inj. done, told I would be contacted in next 2 days. 5 1/2 weeks later and no one has contacted me. Very had to get thru to ofc no matter what time of day. Told insurance had to approve follow-up, or probably waiting for insurance approval, ...... Ins. has told me it's been approved twice. Keep giving staff correct contact # and they still have old # in records. Very Frustrating!
