Dr. Whitfield and Staff are great ! He cares about his patients and is very knowledgeable Doctor. Tracey is always prompt about returning calls and really sweet.

My experience here wasn’t good, I was diagnosed quickly, but the nurse here was uncaring at every single visit. I was a patient for almost a year, the dr said that the only treatment for me was to radiate my thyroid, radioactive iodine, that I’d be back to normal after my meds were adjusted. WRONG! It’s not his fault about my disease, but he was nonchalant about how RAI would affect me. I’m not me anymore and nowhere near normal. Thyroid controls so much in the body that 1 pill can’t cover everything. Nurse made so many errors, forgot to print me instructions before RAI so she scribbled them on a torn out page, forgot to order a pregnancy test before RAI which cost me 3 hours instead of 1, forgot to tell me I couldn’t take biotin before my first blood test so I had to wait a week and reschedule, asked me how I was at every visit and when I was honest, she didn’t even reply. No I’m sorry or help or empathy from her. Nothing. Quit being honest and just said fine to ‘how are you feeling’. I started weight gain and her attitude was flat, all she said was ‘stop eating carbs’. I was eating healthy and exercising. Got to where I just barely spoke to her on my visits. Soon as I leveled out I quit seeing that dr and went to my primary care. Oh and I think over my year at the practice I saw him 3x. Initial visit, thyroid ultrasound and the day of my RAI treatment. Only reason I have one star is so I could leave a review. This office staff and Doctor has to be one of the worst experiences if not the worst! DON'T DO IT, GO ELSEWHERE!

Dr. Whitfield went above and beyond for me. I live a little over a hour from Denison. He performed a unscheduled biopsy on me at 4:45 pm since I lived that far away. He made one call to imaging and they also agreed to stay and help out. Dr. Whitfield and his staff are awesome, he is a very caring doctor. Excellent news, no cancer!

Never got an appointment. Was informed (very politely) that he does NOT accept self-pay. I found that laughable actually. You'll take my insurance but not my cash... what's up with that? With that policy I will NOT recommend him to family and friends with insurance. It would be much appreciated to indicate that you do NOT accept self pay on your website. Even when I have insurance, he will not be one I will consider,

I have used Dr. Whitfield for about 30 years. He treated my dad as well. Very caring and compassionate! Excellent care received for both of us.

I was referred by Dr. Tegala after having a sonogram on my thyroid area and there were 2 nodules found. I had thyroid cancer in 2012 and had my thyroid removed. When something like this occurs you hope that you are referred to a specialist that understands your concern or fear, someone patient and caring with a good bedside manner. My experience with your office was with Meagan in scheduling. I spoke with her a few times and she was very rude and uncaring therefore I have chosen another doctor.
