Dr. Laurie Elizabeth Mickle

I brought my granddaughter in to see Dr. Mickle because her regular doctor was out of office and she had, had an ear infection that caused her to spike a very high fever which caused the baby to have a seizure. After completing the round of antibiotics the baby still acted like her ears were hurting. So I that was the reason for our visit. I was a few minutes late I admit due to a flat tire with an infant in the car, so they kept us waiting at first in lobby until I was on a call and said out loud the only person they were punishing was a sick baby, so they moved us to a patient room, where we sat for 2 hours and 57 mins. I would hear Dr. Mickle remove the chart from the door and put it back and go somewhere else. Once I started letting my granddaughter explore(DESTROY THE ROOM LIKE ONLY A TODDLER CAN) because she was sick, bored and getting hungry the doctor finally showed. She barely looked at the baby and dismissed my concerns, she spent less than 2 mins. with the patient and cut me off while I was trying to express our concerns. When my granddaughters regular Doctor returned she examined patient with care and said the babies ears were so infected that it has been there awhile and that it never went away from the previous treatment. IT IS MY OPINION THAT DR. MICKLE IS A TERRIBLE DOCTOR THAT IS MORE CONCERNED WITH PROVING A POINT THAN CARING FOR SWEET BABIES. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SEE DR. BLECSH SHE IS THE BEST DR. THERE. TO DR. MICKLE- YOU TOOK AN OATH TO DO NO HARM AND YOU BROKE IT, I AM SURE EMMA ISNT THE FIRST BABY YOU HAVE OVERLOOKED AND SADLY I AM CERTAIN SHE WILL NOT BE THE LAST, BUT SHE DANG WELL SHOULD BE.

I love this place and Dr. Mickle! They always go one step further to help if they are able to! They are wonderful with all 3 of my children!

I love this office, everyone is always kind and does their best to make sure everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. They are great with my boys and help with anything we need. I would defiantly recommend this office and Dr. Mickle to any families looking for a great experience and caring staff.

Dr Mickle was my pediatrician. She was my dr from my first ever vaccines until I was 18. When I was 18 I went into her office because I had been to the ER the night before with chest pain. I had a dislocated rib. I was 18, confused, scared, and in pain. She blatantly asked me if I was just there seeking drugs. As a child she’d brush off my mother’s concerns and say I’d “grow out of it” or I was just “needing more attention”. Well now I’m 23 and finally received my EDS diagnoses along with MCAS, and POTS. All of which presented clear symptoms my entire life, but instead of taking me or my mother seriously she let us down tenfold. I could’ve had answers/been saved a lot of pain, money, and struggling if she would’ve listened to us or taken us seriously in the slightest. I felt so broken hearted and let down by her, and 5 years later after finally receiving proper diagnosis from other doctors, I’m still angry and heartbroken. Didn’t want to get my son tested for autism when I asked. Turns out, he is on the spectrum, and using Mickle as his pediatrician means he went longer without the proper help he needed because “he,s too young”. No he wasn’t.

A truly caring and patient doctor. She listens to both the patient and parents. Dr Mickle has been our sons doctor for about 17 years. We will miss Dr Mickle, now that our son is becoming a young man and has to move on to a different kind of doctor. We would recommend her to everyone.

Excellent clinician! My children have been seeing her for 15 years! We love her!

She is always great with both my kids and remembers them

We love Dr. Mickle! She is easy to talk to and very helpful. My kids love her, which is the most important thing to me.

Wait times were over 2 hours on several occasions. She missed several health conditions in both my kids. I feel let down, she always rushed us. Was not a good fit for our family. Poor bedside manner as well. My children did not go to Bailey since birth, so that's probably why she felt like getting to know my children wasn't worth her time. Bailey Medical Center as a whole is unprofessional. Huge lack of communication between staff in same office & adjacent offices.
