Good visit today.

My dad has been to him three or four times. Every time we have been in the waiting room for at least two hours past his appointment time. They double book most appointment times, let walk-ins go before people who made appointments, and the doctor himself is extremely unprofessional and barely listens to his patient. This is the worst doctor's office that I've ever been to don't recommend it to anybody and if you care enough about yourself you'll stay away from it the only way he's helpful is if you got covid vaccines in your pocket and trying to make money

I'm Dr. Schaeffer's patient for years, he's very reliable and very professional, he takes care of my health and always prescribes me the right medication. My last visit was two months ago I suggested to Dr. Schaeffer to prescribes me the same medication that my neighbor recommended to me, but Dr. Luis explained to me very clearly that each medication is for a specific health problem, he gave me the reasons why cannot take that medication and in the same time he was opening many Medical Articles about it and showing to me. Thank you, Dr. Schaeffer!

Literally one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. From the receptionist to the Doctor Who hung up on me when asking about my prescriptions that They got wrong the month before. Seriously what does a paying customer have to do in order to find good quality care. You can hardly understand the broken English and he is not thorough at all. God forbid that you half to get your blood pressure taken or to find a weight scale that works. Computers down so every time you go in there you have to explain to them what it is that you’re there for like they’ve never taken a single note about the patient! Dr.Schaffer is great but staff is rude and act like we nobody…… yes almost 2 hour wait so if you go here you will wait and wait and wait….. Staff today was Maria that what she told me her name was very disappointing to walk into a doctor we trust and get this behavior

Personally I go their for my mom and they take excellent care of you. He is a tad bit fast though and you should have questions on a paper or something if you forget them when talking to him all in all he is highly rated in my book and ill be one of his patients here soon and will be able to give a better review of his office.

Unprofessional took phone call twice while seeing me. Long wait time as well I stayed for about 3 or 4 hours last time I had an appointment.

The receptionist/or front counter staff waited till i got there to run my insurance. It didnt go through bc it was under a diffrent plan. I told them they should run the insurance before the patient has their appointment so if theres a problem the office can call the patien an fix it before the appointment date. I was told oh we can't do that. I informed her yes you can. My cardiologist does it, my back an spine surgeon does the hospital does before my ZMRI's CT's exrays bloodwork my GI doctor does. So in return because you won't i have to sit here an call my insurance company an talk to them an all 50 people in here cannhear my business. Dr Shaeffer will absolutely NOT do reauthorizations on ANY prescription. I called the office an let the front desk know the pharmacy needs him to call them so they can change a prescription to one the insurance will pay for. When I went in for my appointment I asked him if the front desk and let him know that I called about that Pharmacy needing him to call about the prescription and he told me they never informed him of it. Then i heard the girl that sits at the front desk that wears all the make up tell another co worker that this patient is just another pill head. I heard it an the patient heard it. The patient went up to the clinic because she had been calling for two weeks to get a prescription refilled and they would never call in the prescription and would tell the patients when they call will call the prescription in as soon as we have time and they never never never never call the prescriptions in and Dr Schaeffer acts as if he never was informed of that happening. I have waited up to an hour and 45 minutes past my appointment time. I like Dr Schaeffer but I can't hardly understand that man. I had my prescription transferred from one Pharmacy to another which is basically the same Pharmacy and it's ownef by the same people that owns the other pharmacy. The pharmacy that it was transfer to said that it needs a pre-authorization so I call in and the pre-authorization was never done and when I went to see him he told me it's because you can't transfer your prescriptions from one Pharmacy to another that's why the insurance company wouldn't feel it and the pharmacy was told me it's because the insurance plan under will only do three prescriptions a month and I told Dr Schaeffer I couldn't understand what it has to do with transferring the prescription because the prescription was transferred to the company that's owned by the same people and he wanted to try to tell me three different times that you can't transfer your prescriptions and then I told the pharmacy that and they were like no that's not true we do it all the time so as far as I'm concerned Schaeffer doesn't know quite as much that about what he's talking about. There's another patient that have been calling for 3 weeks trying to get her prescriptions refilled and the front desk would never call it in she had to go up there and wait two hours past your appointment time just to get her prescriptions refilled. I told them that they need to call the insurance company that they're under and file a formal complaint on his office staff. I want to change pcp' s but my disability attorneys ar collecting all my medical records an im not sure if it would cause a problem considering i go to court for my disability in 3 months. Best Primary Care Physician around. He truly cares about his patients and their family. Don’t listen to any of the negative reviews. You won’t find a doctor who cares more for your well being.

I have been with Dr. Schaeffer for 15 to 20 years now. He has always seen me and my family and given my medications as needed. He is very professional and very dedicated to his patients. I hope to have him for my doctor another 20 years.

Worst experience with a Dr & his office. Unprofessional all his office workers & nurses. He is so behind in the times working with fax & hand written all orders & scripts. Appts are a joke, I had 8am appt & Dr comes strolling in at 9:30, it was 1pm B4 I got out & still had to go to lab to get blood drawn. Took 3 days to get my meds refilled. Blood work and anything else is not done in his office, it is sourced out. I have been on Medicare for a year & I am happy to say I changed my insurance choices for my supplemental & using Kelsey-Seybold, Kelsey care advantage. I may pay a little bit more but at least it's one....ONE- 1 stop shop for my health care. Plus I can check all my meds, test results anything pertaining to my health online.

I went to him years ago. Just awful bedside manner. Staff was very unhelpful. They billed for things that were not done. He gave me prescriptions for problems I did not have. I spent 30 minutes getting to his office, 30 minutes waiting for an appointment, and less than 10 minutes being seen. Would never recommend this person as a physician

Went twice to see the doctor. Even with appointment had to wait 3 hours to be seen on the first time and over 2 hours on the second one. Such a disrespect with the patients.

I worked in the billing department for free for 2 weeks hoping this place would be a good future for myself. I was treated terrible, tried to make me feel stupid when I have 10 yrs experience .Other employees are treated horrible as well...wasnt just myself. The drs wife and Jorge, supervisor over the billing area...Im so ashamed that I put up with them as long as I did, but I wanted it to work out so that I could do some good for the office and the patients. The quality of care provided by this doc does not justify the 4 hours, minimum, one spends in waiting room before seeing him. When lab work is scheduled, be prepared to obtain and carry results to his office yourself.

I've been going to Dr.Luis Schaeffer 3-4 years now. The staff is never the same, they never know who you are until you sign in , or tell them. Takes hours to see the Doctor... Always have problems getting refills on my meds. It takes days for my pharmacy to get ok from the Dr. ☹️

Stay away from here. I cannot say this enough! They are purposefully charging for your hospital co pay for your primary visit co pay. They are a cash only facility. You will never make it to your appointment on time as they are always behind several hours. They have no nurses here but call the medical assistant a nurse and let them practice medicine as a nurse. Just ask them their license title if they say nurse or RN they are lying as an ex employee informed me they tell patients that so they can bill at higher rates. Lastly if you get a script from here that requires pre authorization you can hang it up some people have waited since November 2018 for blood pressure meds.. so again I repeat stay away if at all possible. I gave this doctor's office a one star rating because of the office staff. They have absolutely no clue how to work with your insurance company. I saw the doctor nearly a month ago, specifically to get a referral for a colonoscopy. First, they sent it directly to the GI doctor, then, after the GI doctor's staff attempted to walk them through the correct way to submit it to the insurance company, they submitted it incorrectly. DR. Schaeffer is great but has a Deplorable staff, my elderly mother takes many life saving medications and they often take their sweet time refilling it. I have to go in there and argue with the staff to even get them to call the pharmacy and it is crucial to stay there while the nurse calls the pharmacy just to make sure they actually did it. Dr. Schaeffer is an excellent doctor. Both my wife and I have been going to him for 10 years. He is very thorough in his examinations and explanations. His office is always full, which to me goes to show that a lot of people would agree with us.

Amazing doctor with SO MUCH knowledge. Not once, not twice, not three times, but consistently one has to sit over an hour past the appointment time before being seen. It's as if they feel you have nothing important to do the day of your appointment.

Our family has used Doctor Schaeffer as our primary care doctor for over 15 years. He has always taken excellent care of 3 generations of our family. He and his staff give all of their patients what ever time and care needed to improve their health. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor. We consider him and his staff as our extended family. We can always count on him and are so thankful for him.

Good Doc...I'm ex Hospital Administrator and certainly know Docs. Good man with very thorough insights into patient care.

The only thing I can say that I don't like is the wait time. However Dr. Schaeffer is popular. :) Dr. Schaeffer is a great physician. He is attentive, listens well and doesn't ignore pertinent details. I recommended him just the other day. He is awesome I don't have any complaints.

I was a new patient with Dr. Schaeffer and fortunately his office was able to get me in the same day that I called. I was very impressed with the attitude and friendliness of the staff and Dr., very friendly and down to earth. I will definitely be returning!

My mother was in need of a new primary care doctor due to her regular doctor moving out of the state. My mom has multiple problems and she was very nervous to change to someone new. I was very impressed with the friendliness and prompt actions of Dr. Schaeffer's office. She has been seeing him now for over a year.

I wish I have looked at Dr. Schaeffer's reviews before scheduling an appointment! I had an extremely negative and unpleasant experience with this office. If you don't value your time and ready to sit in a lobby for hours this can be a good chose for you. Due to his age he must be very experienced although very arrogant and disrespectful to his patient's time doctor. His staff is very alike. Typing in my vaccination record took them half an hour at least. total waiting time 2,5 hours.

Took my father in after his insurance provider and I looked at primarys. Was very optimistic about his appointment to be let down horribly. To start off with, we waited for right at 3 hours to be seen. I was going to tell everything that happened but ran out of characters so i will just say, if you want a DR. With no compassion, judgemental and unwilling to help make end of life comfortable, this is your guy! He plays God with your life! Nice staff though!
