I had a very poor experience with Dr. Bustamante. He has terrible bedside manner and rushed me at each meeting we had. I would ask him questions and he one foot out the door and his hand on the door handle. He had only been in the room for a few minutes. He left me with questions for his nurse, whom I found to be incompetent. She was not able to explain a procedure to me that they were recommending. I am a nurse myself and found it to be nerve wrecking to put myself in their hands. Bedside manner is extremely important unless you are a genius in your field and it can be overlooked. Not worth it in this case, find a better GI.

There I waited another 35 minutes before the doctor finally came in. The doctor rushed through his standard list of questions and told me I would have to submit a stool sample at another facility. So I waited 1 hour to talk to a doctor for 5 minutes. One of the doctor's recommendations was to start taking a probiotic that they sell. When I got to check-out, the lady knew nothing of this recommendation but still offered to sell me their product. Overall, this visit felt like a waste of time and money. Wonderful Doctor. Takes his profession very seriously.

Just had a consultation with this doctor. Kept me waiting for almost an hour, didn't apologize, was short and rushed and seemed to have a problem when I inquired about his experience and outcome of his procedures. Will find a doctor with a better bedside manner.

Dr Bustamonte is such a great Doctor. He had the awful job of telling my husband he had cancer after he did an upper endoscopy. He is so caring. Both my husband and i have been seeing Dr Bustamonte for about 3 years now, and he always is happy and knows exactly how to treat our symptoms. He prescribed me a medication that my pharmacy said is a very old but a very good medicine that Drs. don't usually prescribe. My pharmacist said she wished more Drs. would prescribe this good drug because it works so well on a lot of things, instead of trying to push some new medication without a lot of information about them. Dr Manuel Bustamante is the best gastroenterologist ever. He is very knowledgeable. very patient, he explains things to you as many times as necessary until he is sure that you understood. His office staff is also very knowledgeable and they both are always willing to help. They are very nice.

Thank you Doctor for my three visits and two procedures, which where very helpful in diagnosing my problem. I would recommend you to other people. Dr. Bustamante took the time to explain everything to me in a manner in which I could understand. He answered all my concerns and was prompt in answering my phone calls. His staff where also very kind and considered. I have no problem returning to Dr. Bustamante should I need to in the future.

I was very impressed with both the doctor and his staff! I must say I felt comforted and safe in every phase. I am not one for doctors visits and often I am the grumpy one but I was put at ease . I like that he takes his time while he is with a patient and goes to another patient , had I had a concern he would taken longer. It is the worst office experience ever. The Dr. Is competent but disinterested. The office staff is the complete worst. Only use this office if you don't have a full time and have plenty of time to make calls and track down prescriptions. Also if you don't care if people are nice to you.
