I've been a patient of Dr. Benevides for many, many years and have 100% confidence in the care that I receive from him and his staff. He's thorough and has my health first and foremost with each visit. He's very personable. I highly recommend him and look forward to the continued doctor / patient relationship going forward.

Cant get anyone on the phone to even try and set an up appointment

Doctor might be okay but what good is that if staffs are so horrible. Coudn't get one appointment over phone. I tried over 2 months to get one appointment and It was constant phone tag with these people. Proper example of how much a failure American healthcare system is. When you ask for an examination, they just remind you how amazing human body is and prescribe you some pills. I'm sure they would prefer you come back with bigger problems. Great doctor. Very friendly and thorough

Dr. Benevides is great. However, do not expect a call back from his Nurse /Assistant when you have to leave a message,. Last time I waited 5 days (a bit more than the supposed 48 hour response time) and never heard from her.

I can’t say enough about Dr Benevides and the staff at the Apex location of Associated Urologist of NC. I’m writing this 10 minutes post op for a vasectomy and am pleasantly surprised at how painless and quick the procedure was. Dr Benevides is extremely professional, knowledge and an expert in his field. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Dr. Benevides was fantastic. I had to wait a little longer to see him, but he was worth the wait. I found him to be very knowledgeable, communicative, and a great listener. Patrick, on his staff, was also fantastic in setting up my imaging appointment and explaining what to expect. Dr. Benevides even called with MRI results on the same day as the MRI because it was a Friday and he didn't want me to worry over the weekend. Fundamentally, the entire experience vastly exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Benevides performedSIX my vasectomy. The operations went super well, invisible scar and easy first few days. I was NOT happy at all with the post-op follow up: it was non-existant. I would have appreciated a follow up call, some guidance on what to expect (had a hematoma two weeks after the operation that scared the heck out of me, but resorbed on its own). The real problems started with the PVSA (post-vasectomy sperm analysis). I had to go in SIX times!!! Each time, they simply called to tell me I had x sperm per HPF. That is meaningless to me but even when I asked for clarification, I got vague answers from lab technicians or office staff. No written report, nothing. My wife is NOT happy with the uncertainty of knowing yes or no if I'm sterile. I'm very very disappointed with the lack of follow up. Really gives you the impression they couldn't care less.

Exceptionally personable, knowledgeable and competent. Exactly what everyone should look for in a physician.

Dr Benevides has been my urologist since 2007. He is by far the best urologist I’ve ever been to. His bedside manner is incredible and he is extremely caring. I have referred several people to him that have been very happy with him as well.

Went through the motions, in a hurry, really didn't listen to my concerns or interested in treating my pain.

Dr Benevides is simply the best. You could tell the minute he walked into the room he cared. He listened to what I had to say and answered every question. He took his time and made sure I was comfortable with all my concerns. The best physician I have had the pleasure of meeting. Thanks Doc.

Dr, Benevides performed my robot assisted radical prostatectomy. He was excellent with every aspect of this healthcare progress. I highly recommend him.

I took my uncle who has special needs to see Dr. Benevides for the first time today. The compassion that he showed my uncle was wonderful and he was so empathetic. I have never met a doctor with such a wonderful bed side manner. You can tell that he truly cares about the well-being of his patients. Great experience, very happy with the results

I scheduled a visit with Dr Benevides based on recommendations from patients on medical web sites. I found his office (Tanika) to be very accommodating and efficient. Dr Benevides was right on time for my appointment and was very thoughtful in reviewing my medical history and assessing treatment options. He responded to all of my questions and had a great attitude during my visit. This was a very positive experience

One of the best doctors I've been to. Patiently listens to what you have to say and is genuinely concerned about making you better. Great doctor, would definitely recommend.

After a problem with another urologist I asked my harris teeter pharmacist for a suggestion for a new one. After a day or two she called and said that another pharmacist who had worked in the area for years recommend Dr. Benevides. He's great! I have low testosterone and lately prostate problems. He always been able to see me within five minutes of my appointment time and makes you feel very comfortable. He explains everything really well and then leaves it up to the patient to decide what's best for them. I highly recommend him.
