Dr. Johnston is wonderful, I'm glad I was referred to her a couple years ago, her and the entire staff are awesome

Dr. Johnston is a treasure. She is so caring and really wants to know what is going on with you. But, the office management is just horrible. Good luck getting through. I'm on the portal and I couldn't find anywhere to leave a message. I am still waiting on them to call in 2 prescriptions. It is so frustrating, and it feels just hopeless. I spend more time trying to get to someone than I spend in an office visit.

This my Third visit with Dr Johnston, and still find her personable, warm, caring and very attentive and listened to my concerns and questions. I Love love her and will definitely recommend her.

It is almost impossible to get a response from the Dr or her staff. I have a repeated UTI that often comes back. It is normally with a bacteria resistant bacteria. I started seeing Dr Johnston because she came recommended. I get zero response from her or her staff. I have a UTI now. I called her office to report it the second week of Jan 2023. It is now the 16th and I have not heard squat from her or her office. I am now scheduled with a different Urologist, but had to go to emergency room and was almost hospitalized again due the lack of response. Do not waste your time. Find a different urologist that at least will tell you they no longer want to provide services to you.

There was a communication mixup last month regarding my insurance. However, after that was straightened out , I had an appointment with Dr . Johnston . She is very knowledgeable and professional .

I had posted a 5-star review last year when Dr Johnston was with Urology Clinics of N. Texas. Dr Johnston is a great urologist. However, she changed practices April 1 and now I cannot recommend her. Would choose 0 stars if allowed. She is with Texas Urology Specialists now. My prescriptions were not ordered & repeated calls to the new practice (with messages) were not returned. My pharmacist contacted them on at least 4 occasions over several weeks & was told the 1st time that the order would be sent in that week. It wasn't. I tried to make another appointment but couldn't because of the never ending voicemail loop. Forget about actually speaking to a real person!! A poorly run practice can destroy a doctor's reputation. A great doctor.

Dr. Margarita Johnston, MD is one of the best Urologists I have known. This doctor is a guru in the practice of Urology. The TURP surgery she performed on me was very successful. I am 67 and had enlarge prostate or BPH with 36.5 PSA and related inconvenient symptoms and deadly infections, pains and loss of quality of life prior to the TURP surgery. But after the surgery I urinate like a shower just as I did in my 20s with all BPH symptoms and pains gone and I regained the quality of life. Is this medicine or magic? Dr.Johnston is awesome and the staff was super friendly.

Dr. Johnston is great. A little unhappy watching several folks come in after me, but get called back before me. Other than that, highly recommend her! Response to calls/requests for information is another matter! I would call prior to my procedure seeking information, got transferred to aide’s phone, left a voice mail, and never receive a call back or response to my requests. This occurred multiple times. After a few weeks, I finally received a quick answer that did not provide any details. As I said, highly recommend Dr. Johnston. She’s awesome! However, response to patients requesting information or having concerns is a bit lacking. Dr. Johnston is great. From the very beginning, made me feel very comfortable. The doctor had an outstanding personality and my wife and I really enjoyed talking with her. She was very thorough with what she felt my issue was and what we needed to do to fix it. Very happy with my experience there and will definitely be going back if needed.

Nothing but the best experience for me. Some guys may not want to talk to another guy about some urology issues. Dr. Johnston is professional and takes time discuss issues and options in an easy to understand way and she knows her business. No awkwardness at all. Highly recommended.

I was impressed with the friendly staff and how relaxed Dr. Johnston made made me feel. Felt like she really cared and I'd been coming to her practice for years.

Customer service and follow up is horrible

If your looking for an office that will follow up with you after your scheduled appointment , better look somewhere else. It’s been 6 weeks with no response from Dr. Johnson or her assistant Ms.Martinez. We were desperate for help for our mother and she’s still suffering. Dr. Johnston did an amazing job.

Very thorough explanation of the Axonics procedure. I feel confident toward using this clinic.

The whole experience was outstanding. From the front desk check in to completion everything of my visit was handled in an outstanding manner.

I was seen as soon as I arrived at the clinic and the nurse immediately took my vitals and drew blood. A few minutes later, actually before my scheduled appointment time, Dr. Johnston came in to give me my blood work results and to do her exam. She really impressed me. Dr. Johnston is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I would go back to her in a minute, if the travel time and distance were not so great, (80 miles and almost two hours). I had no idea I was dealing with such a common issue. I was met with great professionalism, compassion, and respect. I have found the missing piece to my puzzle. I've been mystified by a multi-symptoms and received a single, straight-forward explanation. This is one best medical appointment I've had in nearly two years. Everything went very well. My problems were mostly solved immediately. The only reason I say mostly is I need physical Muscle therapy that was recommended by Dr. Johnston. Since then I am feeling much better. This was an on going problem with my former doctor I never got results. In 1-3 visits we had it all figured out. So happy to have Dr. Johnston and her staff.

Experience with the Dr and staff AT the OFFICE is great. Her nurse assistant Ms. Martinez is a WHOLE other matter she finally returned a call after 2 weeks and several calls and messages left. I feel returning patients calls would greatly improve this Drs. overall patient satisfaction. STAFF CAN control ratings on this office.

My problem is getting worse.Something is cutting the circulation of to my penis.Im having constant pain on the left side of my Pelvic and testicle.Please schedule me a biopsy.Thank you

The staff is knowledgeable and efficient and caring as well. My visit was for a treatment, rather than seeing the doctor, and it was handled very professionally. Dr. Johnston is excellent.

Hope you are not in a rush. Was recommended to see Dr. Johnston after having a kidney stone. Dr is fine. Office is terrible. I have only been in the office 3x. Front desk lost my insurance information after I gave them a card to copy AND put it in the forms. Was told they would schedule a CT Scan and the office preforming the scan would call. Nothing happened. Called the front office and had to schedule it myself. Finally I got a CT scan and dropped it off 12/13. No call back. 12/16 the pain stopped. Called the office again 12/17 and the front desk again didn't know what happened and would have the Dr call me back. Nothing again. 12/24 I got 2 voice mails telling me to call the office for a procedure on 12/27. Also needed to call them immediately cause they are closing in an hour. Today the hospital called me for the procedure. When I said to cancel the procedure, the office finally called me and talked. They didn't know what happened. (This is also my out of pocket for seeing them, $255.00 to get NOTHING) I'm going to leave my review with that. So if you want a Dr that loses track of patients, this place is for you. *warning long review* Wanted to love it due to all the rave reviews but unfortunately my experience was not all that great. I chose her because of her reviews & because it's close to my home. My first appointment was meh I visited her after an ER visit discovering I had stones blocking. I showed her my CT disc and she scheduled me for the removal of the stones (left side) + stent. First surgery was somewhat successful but all stones were not removed so I was scheduled for a 2nd surgery for Lithro..did that and again there were still stones left. By this time I had to go and pay out of pocket yet again for another CT scan (not at all cheap even with insurance I might add). This time she advises me that I have them in both kidneys, howevr the stones in my left side are larger & will not pass once they drop so I opted for another round of Lithro -3rd surgery (to deal with the problem before it becomes problematic as my stones have landed me in the hospital for almost a month a couple years back due to sepsis). So the surgery center calls me to confirm surgery date & times& procedures but says only lithro to the left..I told her no both so she needs to speak w/dr..After 20+ calls to the office i still don't talk to the Dr but her nurse calls me back & apparently the doctor doesn't even remember telling me they are on both sides so now I have to drop my CT disc back off to the office for review. Now she says their cloudy & maybe I was gassy? But when you initially looked at them you personally pointed them out to me on the screen..SO any-who, I guess to appease me she says when we do Lithro again if I see them I will get them. After surgery she tells my mom she got the ones on the left but the ones on the right were small she 'thinks' they will pass on their own. I had my surgery the day before Thanksgiving 2018 and needless to say I feel worse than I felt before I decided to do the last round of Lithro. I have never been able to pass a stone in my life no matter how big or small. It would have been great if she just did the right side as well since I was already under. I had already waited over an hour in my surgery prep room for my surgery because her surgery scheduled before mines ran over. Just throughout the entire process of my 3 surgeries w/her I felt rushed and like she never listened (the couple of times the I did get to see her). Most of the times I was advised she was busy or not in but that she would be in to talk to me before my surgery. By the time she comes in I've already been medicated high as a kite & literally having to ask questions while being rolled to the surgery room. I do want to say that she wasn't mean or rude but the bedside manner just was not there and I didn't feel like she took the time to address my concerns. Dr. Johnson was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, took the time to hear me out on all of the issues I was concerned with and explained my treatment options. She seemed to care, had excellent bedside manor, and came up with a treatment plan I was very satisfied with.

Dr. Johnson is one of my favorite doctors. I am having problems with the patient portal. I can't get anyone to talk to me about it. I like the idea, but it is not kept up to date. The only thing they seem to add is appointments.

Extremely Rude & Inconsiderate ! She was not concerned about my dad at all or his condition. I will NEVER be ‘reemed ‘ again in public for a doctors error !
