AS ALWAYS THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND CARING .......HAD A SLIGHT GLITCH THIS VISIT BUT THEY APOLOGIZED SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE AMENDS........THEY STILL ARE TOPS!!! FIVE STARS!!!

Absolutely awful experience. My heart breaks for his staff, who are angels. Dr Gennaro has no idea what he's doing. He literally couldn't answer one question I had. He had the door open and one foot out the door, trying to end the appointment, as I was firing questions at him, all of which he answered with, "I don't know". After treatment of a month or so, I had to find another doctor out of desperation. My condition worsened under his care. New doctor I found said Gennaro's treatment was ANTIQUATED and should no longer be used. STAY AWAY. Absolutely awful experience. My heart breaks for his staff, who are angels. I have been under the care of Dr. Gennaro for the last four years, and he and his staff (as well as Huntington Hospital) have worked very hard to keep me in best possible condition (given my poor circulation) . I strongly recommend those with vascular issues in the Huntington NY area to his office. Let me now update this, in the fifth year. I have an advanced form of vascular disease, and last year really did not help to my condition. Honest conversations in the office convinced me and my wife that amputation was necessary, and that was carried out quickly after this. The office gave a great referral where to go for my artificial limb. That has worked out really well for me. I do come by the office regularly for check-ups also for the other leg which is also not 100%. Adjusting with a prosthetic does take a while. But after the amputation I felt so much better and finally pain-free that it was totally worth it. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about Dr.Gennaro. I was referred to him by a neighbor who had the same procedure that I needed. I had extremely large vericose Veins in my right leg that swelled, hurt and hindered my ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time. After several appointments, Dr. Gennaro performed the procedure in his office to remove and repair the affected veins. There was Absolutely zero pain and was able to resume normal activities in 2 days. My leg looks back to normal and the ailments associated with the vericose veins are now gone. My 84 yr old mother has been a patient with DR. MARC GENNARO for a few years now re: circulation and venous insufficiency issues. His office staff are always caring and concerned. When my mom needs treatment they go the extra mile to get her a same day appt. The professionalism and support we get from his office and from him are unmatched. We can trust and know that when mom needs medical attention for her condition, we will get it same day from DR GENNARO and company!! Office is centrally located and very easy to access for anyone with wheelchair or walking implements (Walkers/canes, etc). Office is always very clean and not overbooked with numerous patients waiting for long periods of time in the waiting room. Our appt time is kept and our time in general is respected. My wife had her first leg procedure done when we lived in California and the results were not good. We moved to Long Island and her second leg developed the same issue. Dr Gennaro did an amazing job on her second leg! It looks and she says feels like it did years ago. We since moved to NC and I developed the same issue with one leg. I have been in pain through the covid lockdown but waited until I could travel to NY and see Dr Gennaro. I would not have anyone else operate on my leg!! I had a initial appt with Dr Gennaro on 1/15. I was very pleased to see that he was truly focused on me and examined me with such patience and care. He asked probing questions and answered my probing questions. What especially impressed me was when he approached me as I was leaving the office to ask it I had Lyme (which I did). This showed me that even before I left he was looking deep in my medical records, noticed that I had Lyme (which I had forgotten) and told his assistant that he needed to speak with my primary care doctor. Also, I'd like to mention that his staff was helpful, polite and professional (he has a good team). Update 1/15/21 I just had my procedure with Dr. Gennaro and his wonderful team. It went great!! The whole experience was relaxing and went so smooth. Over the past two years, I had various tests performed on me with other doctors. Only Dr. Gennaro was able to find a cause for my concern and offered a solution. The most important pàrt of a doctor/patient relationship is trust. I have the utmost trust in Dr. Mark Gennaro and his entire staff. He is a remarkable physician, knowledgeable, comforting, conservative in his approach and yet ready to provide incredibly skillful surgical procedures when warranted. His office runs like a Swiss Watch. I never have to wait for my appointment time. Dr. Gennaro operated on me almost 21 years ago. I went back to his office recently for a check up. (Had no reason to prior to this as I was feeling just fine) Office staff is absolutely wonderful as is Dr. Gennaro. He is the one to go to for a complete work up and if any procedure needs to be done he believes in the most non-invasive procedure as possible. i have been to Dr. Gennaro only once, and I must say the courtesy extended to me by the staff was exceptional from the moment I arrived until I departed. The nurse who did a pre examination was very knowledgeable and explained the procedure to follow in detail. Dr. Gennaro conducted a most thorough examination and left me completely satisfied with prognosis. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Gennaro. Sorry that I need a Vascular Surgeon, but I found the right one, I believe. From the very first phone call, you'll be pleased at just how kind and considerate his staff is, directing you to complete the paperwork ahead of your appointment, etc. to save you the bother when you arrive. They are most polite and concerned with the Covid compliance to ensure everyone's safety. Dr. Gennaro is a very calm and thorough physician, covering every item in your medical history so he really knows his patient prior to his head to toe examination. He takes the time needed to answer all of your questions and concerns and is not so quick to move to surgery if it isn't, in his mind, your best possible treatment. Dr. Gennaro is a remarkable vascular surgeon and physician. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and articulate. What I like is his ability to be candid- he will tell you what he knows and thinks, and will tell you what he does not know- or can't know. He very patiently answers all of my questions. Being so down to earth, he inspires confidence and trust. He is an amalgam of strength and gentleness. His assistant who takes my vitals is quite capable and friendly. She even gave me water and pretzels while I waited for Dr. Gennaro. The office staff is very responsive and well organized- and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Gennaro is "best in class". OMG, I love Dr G. This man is the schizzle, very knowledgeable and compassionate - saved my husbands life, and although it required amputation of his leg, Dr. G did an absolutely amazing job of it. Nobody expect my husband to recover from his infection and necrotic foot but Dr. G proved us all wrong and we own him so much because of it. Thank you Dr. G for all you do.

Dr Gennaro was very patient, taking time with me to explain what was wrong and how he was going to treat me to make it better. Everyone in the office was very pleasant and efficient, and I would highly recommend him.

Saved my father's LEG! A brilliant, kind and HUMBLE human being! A virtuoso of the circulatory system and a master at highjacking diseased arteries & veins so that they increase necessary blood flow! I can't say enough good things about this doctor and his practice. His office manager is thorough and professional, beyond expectations. The doctor was punctual (this is rare and much appreciated), thorough, communicated clearly, performed a complete examination and I left with absolute confidence in him. I wish I had a primary care doctor of this caliber. Excellent.

My recent experience cost me over $100. Medicare refused to pay and my secondary insurance denied payment. Gennaro "suggested" I make an appointment for a vascular test. When I arrived for this test by appointment in his office his "tech" said he did not "recommend" this test. I took the doctor's suggestion and had the test done. Well this is why I strongly encourage all seniors to clarify the "procedure is necessary" or you, too, will be paying out of pocket for a procedure "suggested but not necessary." Listen carefully.

Dr Gennaro, Victoria, and the entire team has been nothing short of fantastic. Very professional, personable and helpful in every way. The procedure went very well, I will recommend this office to anyone with vascular needs. They also helped with insurance, have text reminders for appointments as well as an online portal.

Dr. Gennaro is smart, friendly and easy-to-talk too. When my husband needed surgery, he was very patient in answering our questions. He is excellent at what he does and is widely respected by patients and hospital staff alike.
