I left Dr. Holbrook years ago. I had been going to him for about a year. I needed my thyroid medication refilled again, that he had filled for me before. He refused to refill my prescription until I allowed a full physical. I told him I had my female physicals done at the women's clinic and he could get their results. He was insistent, even though I just had my physical at the women's clinic. There was absolutely no reason to have this done again within a month of just having it done. I suspected he had ulterior motives for this. He was in so insistent that he scheduled an appointment for me for a complete physical, totally against my voiced wishes. I left his office and never returned. I have since found an endocrinologist who gives me my thyroid medication without having to have a complete physical and I continue my physicals at the Woman's Clinic in my area. Beware!

Mark was my primary care physician for over twenty years and was both pleasant and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, two weeks ago he demanded that I come in for my annual physical during a significant spike in Covid while I was already spending a great deal of time in medical facilities caring for my eighty two year old mother. Since my bloodwork was excellent, I asked that we skip or postpone my visit to reduce the risk of contracting Covid. Instead of discussing it with me, he provided only a five word answer which he relayed through his nurse: “Proceed with physical as scheduled." I was hurt and put off by his response which left me with no choice but to find a doctor who was more willing to discuss my concerns. In addition, I asked him if he would authorize my prescriptions while I searched for a new physician. He chose not to respond and instead I received a form letter. While Mark and his nurse Tina provided good care over fifteen years, unfortunately I can’t recommend them.

I absolutely love Dr Holbrook. He really makes time for you and is very thorough.

Dr Holbrook is the best! He takes time to listen and he talks to you. He is very thorough in explaining things and in a very kind, respectful, caring way.

Extremely intelligent. Can figure out and diagnose where others have failed.

Worst doctor in Boise, greedy, selfish, and incompetent. Works for a money mill.
