I had surgery performed at the Sandston Office on 12.08.2022. Dr. Phelps and his staff were very professional and patient with me. They were clear cut on the pricing. I felt at ease working with Dr. Phelps. He set expectation and put my mine at ease. I really enjoyed his bedside manners. He checked on me after the surgery. I would recommend him to anymore inquiring about needing Dental Surgery. Dr. Phelps and his staff were excellent! Kudos to his Office Manager! Job well done!

I love Virginia Oral and facial the Sandston location. Dr. Phelps does amazing work and the staff is so professional and kind. I’m always treated very well here and everyone is knowledgeable with all my questions. Thank you all for helping me get my oral needs in order and always doing great work!!

Dr. Phelps was excellent. At the consult he took his time to explain the surgery and answer my many questions. During my procedures he made sure I was comfortable and let me know what to expect at each step. He worked efficiently and was particular. After the procedures I found myself thinking that it was not so bad, even for someone that hates all dental work. I have had simpler procedures with various dental doctors that were horrible. Awesome experience, Im very thankful they was able to work me in today! My overall experience was totally AWESOME!! Dr. Phelps and staff are GREAT!! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, since birth, my oral health has not been ideal. As an adult, I've made it worse due to poor habits, namely smoking. Trying desperately to quit and I encourage others to as well, horrible drug nicotine is. I have had many bad experiences with dentists, either in terms of a judgemental attitude or poor "bedside manner". I endured some horrible things as a child and anyone being close to me in a vulnerable situation is tough for me to handle. And if I'm patronized ("oh, you're just afraid") it makes things so much worse. I explained this to Dr. Phelps on my consultation appointment and he completely understood. He was compassionate and understanding. I had a molar extraction and a graft placement today. Dr. Phelps and his staff were absolutely fantastic. They did everything in their power to make sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. One thing that I will always remember from this experience was when one of the assistants noticed that I was under a lot of stress during the extraction and held my hand throughout the remainder. This level of humility is unfortunately lacking and that simple gesture helped more than any drug ever could. True compassion for a patient and I cannot thank her enough. I am so thankful for this staff, from the front desk on. These are great people and I am so thankful that I went here. Dr. Phelps not only does the work of a superhero.. he looks like one too! He is easy going, non-judgemental, and will put you at ease as soon as you meet him. His staff is amazing and easy going as well. Great group.
