Dr. Noerdlinger took time testing my shoulder and listened very carefully to my concerns. He gave me a plan of action. Pleasant experience and I would highly recommend him.

He tells you the truth and what you can expect from your injury . Great personality.

While the jury is still “somewhat” out because of short time since my shoulder replacement, I report that my visits were exactly what I had hoped for- thorough, clear discussion of my diagnosis and his recommendation for surgery and its anticipated aftermath. New shoulder feels great and remarkably pain free!

Dr Noerdlinger did my left shoulder surgery Feb. 10th this year.. I was driving Feb. 12th. It's Monday Feb 13 and no pain. He did a great job. I highly recommend Dr. Noerlinger

Cat Scan scheduled for 1/13. Results will determine next action. Learned that Medicare will not cover preferred partial tear.

I have been a patient of Dr. Noerdlinger since 2008 due to severe shoulder pain resulting from my younger days playing hockey. Since 2008 Dr. Noerdlinger has performed five [5] shoulder surgeries on both shoulders. I have total trust and faith in Dr. Noerdlinger, as well as all of the professionals in Atlantic Orthopedic & Sports Medicine and have found him to be professional, personable and highly skilled and have referred many of my friends to his practice and will continue to do so. My friends have thanked me for the referral and have had very successful outcomes.

The good doctor is easy to understand and is a good listener. He explains the why and how and not just the diagnosis. He is a compassionate human being, as well.

Dr. Norolinger is one of those rare Dr.s you find these days that is the full package. He’s a brilliant surgeon, with perfect incision. There are literally no real scarring after rotator cuff surgery done by him. He’s kind & caring & most of all, takes the time to listen & fully understand your wants & needs. He is straight up honest with you & puts ALL the options on the table & let’s you decide what is right for you, but will give his honest opinion when asked what he thinks. If you ever want to feel safe with a surgeon, this is the one you can do that with. He truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Mayo Norolinger! I don’t usually grade Dr.s, but this I feel would be a disservice if I didn’t. This is for those who don’t trust, who need to trust in a Dr. & a surgeon! Thank you for reading this. So nice and spent a lot time with me about my options. Very personable and so well organized.

This doctor broke the drill during my surgery, left the drill bit in my joint. He didnt tell me about the drill bit till I noticed myself on the follow up x ray. He then passed me on to a specialist. A year and half later of being in pain and being told by this practice that I’d be fine with leaving the drill bit in., I seeked other opinions, ALL saying I needed that drill bit out ASAP. So I had a second surgery done (by a different doctor obvy) And now owe thousands of dollars for his mistake!

He offered very thorough explanations of what was to occur with the surgery and went over the pictures with detailed explanations after the surgery as well. Very patient and considerate. Surgery was 12/19/2020.

Terrible dr , he doesn’t listen, rushed, rude, arrogant, don’t let him waste your time, like he did mine

Went there for a 2nd opinion, his nurse was rude , he was rude, did not listen, spent a total of 5 min , showed me a picture, told me my shoulders were junk , and said get back to work doing something you can do with them, then walked out, nurse came in handed me a piece of paper and said check out, I said I wasn’t done asking him about my shoulders, and they said he was in with another patient and told me to wait, 20 minutes later they came out and said he would not see me, I asked for my records and they said they were in Portsmouth, i picked up my records and went to a real surgeon ! And he will be doing my rotator cuff surgery .... stay far away from this dr he will waist your time

Very rushed, rude , worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor,

The two appointments I had with him were great, and he really listened to me. However, I felt like questions I had - especially right after surgery - were not addressed appropriately, leaving the questions to be answered by my PT. I was also disappointed that I did not see him after surgery, since he had already talked with my husband. He is a great surgeon, and good in person, but some communication was lacking.

this guy changed the surgery that was planned, did a different surgery than wasnt necessary. complications of him cutting off my bicep muscle caused lost of feeling in 3 of my fingers that never came back. i got excuses & a brush off when i came for follow up. then at 3 months from surgery i had massive pain & cramping coming from my arm & shoulder, i got the brush off again & he was clearly distancing himself from my case saying he will refer me for ultrasound & cotizone but nobody ever called.

Had my second rotator cuff surgery with Dr. Noerdlinger, first one was right shoulder, the most recent, the left. The man is magic. It's paramount to be able to trust your healer. Dr. Noerdlinger spends time to pinpoint exactly what the complaint is about. I find him to be meticulous, a very good quality in a surgeon. I did everything he told me to do and didn't do anything he warned against. Nothing heavier than a cup of coffee. Thanks, Mayo.

Dr. Noerdlinger is the 'go-to' person for shoulders. He was great. After a month I am feeling back to my old self. Everyone is different, but I did not have much pain after the operation. He said I was lucky, but I think he may have helped my odds. Thanks again, Dr. Noerdlinger

Dr. Noerdlinger has a well deserved reputation in this area. After dealing with shoulder pain for years and having limited range of motion, I am in great condition now. My questions were always answered and I did not feel rushed during my office visit.

I waited 1.5 hours to see Dr. Noerdlinger. He spent about 5 minutes with me regarding my shoulder, asked me to raise my arms. I squeezed in a couple questions and he was out the door. He was rushed impersonal, and cold. I cancelled my return appt. and saw Dr. Nowak in Exeter who was excellent. I reviewed my report from Noerdlinger and he made up test results that never occurred, such as "skin intact, sensation in tact to light touching" (no contact) and he lied about discussing treatment options

In my opinion, Dr. Noerdlinger is the best shoulder surgeon in the area. I recommend him often to family and friends. Not only does he have the gift of healing, he is a very caring person.

With three torn tendons (one ruptured) I needed rotator cuff surgery. I am extremely pleased that I chose Dr Noerdlinger. He has shown his excellence in surgical practice and has been clear and thorough about what to expect all through the process. I knew I had made a good choice right from the start when I read the information sheet that he gave me at our first meeting. In particular, it said that success would depend on a team effort of the surgeon, the patient, and the physical therapist.

Excellent experience. My diagnosis was accurate, I received the information I needed in order to make the right decisions, the office staff was helpful, and when I made the decision to have my surgery everything went smoothly so that I received the outcome that I needed. I am so thankful for Dr. Noerdlinger, his staff, and his relationship at the hospital for my excellent care.

Dr Noerdlinger repaired my torn meniscus, which was not treated properly in a prior surgery. He is a delight to work with--candid, clear, helpful and willing to spend time discussing the issues in a particular case. The office's billing practices are reasonable and transparent. Scheduling is easy. In other words, patients are treated as valued clients, not business objects. My knee feels normal for the first time in two years; I had forgotten what normal feels like, but it's wonderful!

Dr. Noerdlinger made my whole experience a good one. Telling me all of my options and explaining them clearly. From pre-op to post-op and finally through physical therapy I always felt as if I had his complete focus on me and my recovery. I realize that every patient and surgery is different but I've had surgery on both of my shoulders and the outcome has been fantastic for both. I highly recommend Dr. Noerdlinger to any one that I come in contact with who might be searching for a surgeon.

Shoulder surgery for rotator cuff.

If you need shoulder surgery, Dr. Noerdlinger is the surgeon you want. Years ago I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder at a world renowned hospital in Boston, MA. This winter I tore my left rotator cuff and was referred to Dr. Noerdlinger as I now live in Maine. If I need an orthopedic surgeon again, I will definitely contact Dr. Noerdlinger. He is very knowledgeable, takes the time needed to answer all of your questions, and, addresses any concerns you have. Healing is going well.

Dr. Noerdlinger is an excellent surgeon and communicator with his patients. I had a total right shoulder replaced last year and today, over a year and a half later I am still going strong. I recommend this fine surgeon to anyone who wants good results from their operation.

horrible doctor. plain and simple. i was actually told from another Dr. that Dr. Mayo Noerdlinger is a less that desired Dr. i did'nt listen and found out that he wasn't lying. If your trying to get on pain pills then he's the doc for you, but if you want real help then DO NOT see this sham.

DR. Noerdlinger gave me my life back! He is one of the best orthopedic doctors around this area for shoulders. I did research to find a doctor with excellent credentials by going online, talked to physical therapists, and talked to others with shoulder problems and I came up with Dr Noerdlinger. I knew I would need my shoulder replaced and possibly needed a reverse shoulder replacement and I wanted to have the best doctor who I had 100% complete confidence in. I'm am blessed to have found him.

Dr. Noerdlinger is an amazing surgeon. I just had rotator cuff and bicep surgery. He called 3 times over a weekend to see how I was doing. I never experienced pain just some discomfort. I was out walking within 5 days and driving within 4 weeks. He explained the process in layman' s terms. Dr.N was supportive and encouraging. Thank you!

I was referred to Dr Noerdlinger by a friend of mine and it was the best decision I ever made! He is a very kind, patient and smart doctor. We've been through 2 shoulder surgeries together. He explains everything that he is going to do before and what he did do after surgery. My shoulders are finally on the mend after years of abuse and I will be back to doing what I love pain free very soon.

Dr. Noerdlinger is a very pleasant person and is easy to talk too. I had many concerns about my shoulder surgery and he addressed my concerns in a truthful manner. He makes me feel comfortable and valued as patient. I have already recommended Dr. Noerdlinger to some of my friends.

Diagnosis was determined with appropriate questions/ tests. Surgery was done /successful. Toward the end of recovery, he listened intently to my concerns. Was off all meds, but still some pain. He assured me my concerns were justified. He agreed I had followed his instructions, therapy and activity level. I trusted him and was encouraged. I have since greatly improved. His professional/ friendly style was very calming for me as a new patient. Would do it again without question

I am very pleased with Dr. Noerdlinger! I did not think that I would be as fortunate to get a new doctor here in Maine, that I would like as much as my previous one in Connecticut. Dr. Noerdlinger asks pertinent questions, listens well, and never makes my visits seem rushed to get to the next patient. I would highly recommend him.

I had rotator cuff tears as well as bicep tear I am doing exceptionally after four weeks. I have some discomfort now, but movement is much improved. Lots of physical therapy will help.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Noerdlinger. I had a tear in my rotator cuff and severe arthritis. He did a reverse shoulder replacement. I had no pain and within a few weeks was using my shoulder and arm. Didn't need physical therapy and can do the little things again like washing my hair and folding towels with no pain. He answered all my questions in terms that I could understand and was easy to talk to.

Both my shoulder and Bicep had tears as well as Cuff injuries. The pain was severe most of the time and could not perform basic chores around the house and yard. After his surgery I am fully recovered and am at full strength without any pain, plus have full mobility and range of motion. He was right on with his diagnosis.

When I went to Dr. Noerdlinger's office, my shoulder was undependable and prone to significant pain with many everyday motions. 6 months post surgery my shoulder is dependable, flexible and getting stronger every day. I am very grateful to have a stable shoulder. Thank you Dr. noerdlinger.
