Do not go to Dr. Biavati for concerns related to your child’s recurring ear infections/hearing. He ignored several red flags with my sons ears that resulted in two burst ear drums. One of them happened right after we saw him. There were red flags related to his hearing for two consecutive appointments that he brushed off as nothing. I have an 18month old son who’s ear infection turned into a very serious mastoiditis the day before Thanksgiving. Every ENT was either booked or closed for the holiday, but Dr. Biavati and his staff made time to see my son when I described his symptoms. He did emergency surgery to place tubes in my son’s ears later that night (had to wait since my son had recently eaten). Then he checked in with us on Thanksgiving day to make sure the swelling and redness had gone down. While the whole day was so scary and stressful, I felt at ease as soon as we met with Dr. Biavati. Physician completely lacks skills to work with children. ZERO show, tell and do. He startled my 4 year old by explaining nothing and is forceful. assistant forcefully pinned her down while she screamed in panick/distress. Disappointing and traumatizing experience. We were referred to Dr. Biavati by our pediatrician. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. His office team and surgical team are knowledgeable and helpful. We had an excellent experience. He and his team are truly pediatric specialists - and don't treat the kids like miniature adults. Dr. Biavati did not rush to offer surgical intervention, though that is what our kids ultimately needed. We're very happy with the care we received.

Do not go to this man. He made a mistake during a procedure he was performing on my son. It caused a sheet to catch fire. Thank God nothing happened to my son. But when he came out of surgery he lied about how close it was and who made the mistake. He blamed a nurse and said the fire was no where near my son. Then my son was admitted to the hospital with a condition that pertains to his throat. And guess you has still not shown up after 10 days at the hospital that this man constantly does surgeries at??? The only doc who’s been able to make any progress with my one year old. Highly recommended. Very professional, knowledgeable and personable. I’m thankful I got referred to him Bc it’s led to many answers we’ve been searching for.

We had great experiences with Dr. Biavati. He was very professional, courteous and made sure that we are fully informed. Greatly appreciated Dr. Biavati’s care for both my kids.

MOMS BEWARE!! I read all the reviews on Google for doctor Biavati after I was recommended to him by my pediatrician. The low review rating made me nervous, but as we were advised by our doctor we went ahead as we needed to figure out if my daughter needed tubes. You will spend about 5 minutes (or less) total with this doctor. He does not see you until all the testing is done (which seems normal and adequate). He comes in at the end of the appointment to help steer you in what direction is best (in our case it was tubes). We scheduled the tubes for the following week and felt really good about everything. The morning of her surgery Dr. Biavati was about an hour late (not a great start, but things happen). It would seem he has surgeries most of the day in a process I now describe like cattle branding on an assembly line. There are a bunch of babies waiting for their 15 minutes with the doctor. He will (very) briefly come over after the baby is finished with surgery to do about a 30 second check in before he rushes off to the next child. Its exactly like a factory, and an expensive one at that. In my experience, he charges about $1100-$1500 for his role in the tube surgery. We have a very high deductible so it was important to me to know what the real cost of these things were. That is an exorbitant of money for the amount of face time/follow-up you will get. Further, I was told tubes are an extremely low-risk procedure. While this is likely the case, let me be perfectly clear here, if you do have any issue don't count on Biavati! My daughter came home and began to bleed from the ear and nose. Very concerning. Except I couldn't get in touch with the doctor. Only the On-Call person (possibly a doctor although not entirely sure) was available to tell me I just needed to go to the ER. The on-call person will not problem solve with you. They are just limiting liability. They will really only tell you to head on to the ER. He even expressed that Biavati perhaps nicked and artery. The On Call doctor sounded the way you would sound if a telemarketer was calling you, annoyed and hasty to end the call. This was extremely upsetting to me. As a mom I wasn't sure we were at the 'head to the ER' place yet. It didn't seem severe and I wasn't satisfied with his recommendation as he has never had contact with my daughter. I couldn't help but wonder, why have I paid Dr. Biavati so much money and he can't even pick up the phone to help me out here. Instead, I am being told to go to the ER where I will spend much more money (again super high deductible through my husbands company insurance) trying to make sure everything is above board. I did not stand for this. I insisted the doctor call me himself as he was the only person who has operated on my daughter. After insisting for almost an hour that he call me, I finally got a call from an unknown number. It was Dr. Biavati. I calmly explained what was going on and he suggested that I try Afrin (a nasal spray) in the nose and ear to help control the bleeding. Low and behold, it worked! No ER, nothing. And the surgery appears to have been successful despite the hiccup. However, the hoops I had to jump through to get this guy on the phone were ridiculous. I understand he can't be available to all 24/7 and that an on-call person (aka gate keeper) is necessary. But sometimes it is warranted. Don't be a mom who accepts this treatment from Doctors. We pay a lot of money to these guys. The best part is after all of this, the surgery center called me over and over trying to get this figured out. The surgery center, Parkhill Pediatric Surgery Center did everything they could. They kept reaching out and trying to make sure everything was okay. Biavati would not reach out, never checked in on Eva, nothing. Maybe he is a good doctor, maybe she just didn't clot correctly, maybe he did mess something up and it was an easy fix? These are all things I don't know. Here is what I do. If you go to this doctor and have a problem you are going to have an even bigger one trying to get this guy involved. MOMS BEWARE!! Will NOT be going back to this doc. We came in with our 3 week old infant for a lounge tie. We had an appointment at 10:30. We arrived at 10:20. By 11:15 we still hadn't been seen. Was told our appointment was actually 11. I told them it was 10:30 and the front desk lady was beyond rude. NO apologies. Since we have a newborn we shouldn't have to wait in a dirty waiting room where she could catch something! When we finally got back to see the doc he was kind but prescribed flonase and a reflux drug. I was a bit concerned with giving my baby meds that soon so I contacted our pediatrician and they told us not to take that! When we went to check out they were rude about rescheduling and accused me of not getting the first appointment right. Very nice doc, but concerned with over prescribing meds for a newborn on top of extremely rude stuff. I hope he reads this. His staff is costing him business! Will not be back and wouldn't recommend!

Visited this doc office for our new born baby boy as he had tongue-tie. Doc himself is ok and no complains there on waiting and treatment time etc. Problem is his staff and specially the nurse attended us, she had huge attitude and not sure why she is in this profession if she dont like people or dont have skill to talk nicely. She refused to help cleaning us baby's blood after the minor surgery and gave me cotton to clean up myself. At the end of appointment i asked for rest rooms just to wash my hands and she sent me outside the office in building's restroom, not in the office one and that too with some attitude and judgmental look (yea i can tell when people do that). Dr Biavati is great, and I have never had any problems with his office staff.

We've always had good experiences here. Sure, there are usually decent waiting times before seeing Dr. Biavati and/or the nurses, but that doesn't take away from the level of care provided.

Heed the red flags!! This man will only suggest surgical procedures or sedating your child for unnecessary testing. He is ALWAYS in surgery and often times you will wait for him to make your appointment because of that. The fact that he is constantly in surgery should tell you a lot about what he is going to suggest for your child. Get a second opinion before putting your child through unnecessary procedures!! Dr Biavati was fine but my husband and I found the scheduling, communication and correspondence with this office really frustrating. The staff doesn't seem to care. We have appreciated Dr. Biavati's care for three of my children. He is persistent to find the cause of symptoms

Dr Biavati is always a pleasure to work with. He is very kind and patient with my kids and takes the time to answer their questions and relate to them on a personal level. I feel he really listens to me as a parent and takes the time to adddress all of our questions and concerns. He is knowledgeable and personable. His office is well organized and his staff is equally friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Dr. Biavati.

In our experience, Dr. Biavati was very personable. Unfortunately, we felt that he was too quick to prescribe many costly and unnecessary prescriptions. In hindsight, we realized that ear tubes were not the solution we needed but he seemed to push for it. He cited minor hearing loss, but we did not have frequent ear infections or affected speech. In the end, we did have the surgery with Dr. Biaviti, but we ended up going to a different ENT for treatment afterwards. When the case was presented to the new ENT, it was unfortunately not a course of action our new ENT would have followed. The end result, the new ENT had us use over the counter medications and educated us about what to look for. I waited quite some time to post this because I wanted to remain objective. I realize every case will be different, but the overall impression after working with Dr. Biavati was that he was more inclined to prescribe harsher medications and surgery. He has done surgery on two of my boys. When I was worried we were rushing to surgery Dr. Biavati was open to ordering a sleep study, which showed that my son did indeed have obstructive sleep apnea with episodes every ten minutes. After fully healing from surgery he finally slept through the night for the first time in his life. The second required tubes and adenoid removal. After treatment his recurrent ear infections went away.

Went to Dr. Biavati for a consultation for my sons chronic cough and sinus infections. While I liked his demeanor and personality, he made an assessment on my son in 10 sec. and quickly had us out the door to schedule a T&A procedure. Strange that he didn't have the time or courtesy to talk to us more about the procedure. When the procedure was 1 week out, I called the office to get more information on pain management and such and staff was very argumentative. Incredibly unprofessional.
