Dr. Huang performed an MMA surgery for my husband and did an amazing job! He was wonderful about explaining the surgery and aftercare that would be needed. Y’all, I just had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in one go (with local anesthesia, not IV sedation) and it was an awesome experience even though I’m the type of person who gets super nervous/anxious. And this is about to sound crazy, but I would do it again (lol). It was very chill; I just popped in my earbuds and jammed to some upbeat music to wash out the noise (Dr. Huang had his music on as well). I had a consultation with another surgeon closer to where I live in Sugar Land, and I'm so happy I went with my gut and made an appointment with Dr. Huang, even at the cost of driving into the med center. Amazing bedside manner, thorough education, and didn't push me to have "extra" things done like other docs (he certainly provided awareness and education about those things, but wasn't pushy about anything unless it was absolutely necessary). It was my first real surgical dental procedure and first time going under moderate IV sedation. With Dr. Huang, I had a peace of mind, and I went into the procedure without a single worry. In terms of bedside manner, I love that Dr. Huang was conscientious of family and the experience, itself. I had to bring my 6 yo son to the consultation, and he ended up really liking Dr. Huang from the conversations they had! I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Huang by my Radiarion Oncologist a year and a half ago when I was having issues with my teeth due to radiation from past throat cancer. I needed to have a tooth removed and Dr. Huang was excellent and thoroughly explained what I needed to do. I have had some other issues due to the radiation and again Dr. Huang was there. My experience with Dr. Huang is that he is an excellent doctor. He is patient, caring, responsive and empathetic. He was part of my recovery team after I broke my jaw. Thankfully Dr. Huang was in network with my insurance. I was able to set an appointment within 24 hours of reaching out to his office. Some doctors were unavailable or had appointments available only in the distant future. When time is critical, I am thankful Dr. Huang was able to fit me into his office’s schedule. I visited Dr. Huang for my wisdom teeth extraction and he did an amazing job. I didn't have secondary infections or anything. Everything healed in literally 7 days. He followed up with me post surgery to make sure I was doing okay including talking to my husband and even days later to ensure healing is taking place as expected. I had an amelioblastoma. I was totally blessed when I found Dr. Huang. He put a great team together for my surgery and aftercare. I am on the mend now and highly recommend him. My results speak for his ability.

In August of 2017, I suffered a tragic 3-story fall in Costa Rica. Amongst my damages to my body were multiple fractures to my jaw, palate and teeth. The impact to my face was so hard that one of my teeth was shoved up into my left nostril. When I was able to get to Houston Methodist hospital, a reconstructive plastic surgeon was called in to operate on my face. He declined to treat me, saying the operation was beyond his capabilities. I was crushed. Fortunately, he referred me to Houston Methodist Hospital Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After seeing multiple of doctors for the severe TMJ issues and pain I had been suffering with for over 4 months, I almost began to loose hope until I found Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang was the first doctor who actually genuinely and paintently listened to my concerns, not only took the time to explain what my condition was but actually provided a treatment plan. Unlike the others I had seen who blew me off and just sent me home with narcotic pain medications that didn’t help nor solve the root cause of the symptoms I had been experiencing. Dr. Huang recommended and preformed a bilateral TMJ arthrocentesis procedure on me. It’s only been little over a week and all the debilitating pain and symptoms I’ve been struggling with for the last 4 months are now nonexistent. My wife was seen by Dr. Huang this past month for a dental implant. She had little no know pain after the procedure. He checks in with his patients to make sure they are okay after the procedure. She was able to get an appointment within 3-5 days. Dr. Huang at Houston Methodist in the Texas Medical Center is highly recommended.

He was calm, patient and very confident. All these traits made me feel safe when being put to sleep and confident i would wake up okay! Im new to the state of Texas and was experiencing pain due to my wisdom teeth. I came in for a consolation on Wednesday and came back that Friday to get the oral surgery. My experience with the Oral and Maxillo facial surgery department was overall a great experience. I came in very nervous about my oral surgery for my wisdom teeth and the staff in the operating room helped make my experience much better than I anticipated.
