Vikram Mehra

Dr mehra is amazing, but his staff is horrible, it’s true. Good luck trying to get a hold of them on the phone, it’s always a chore for me. They say to leave a message but if you do they don’t bother to call you back anyway. They never let you know if they go on holiday and do not set up a voicemail for it. They are extremely cold whenever you go up to the front desk. I believe they’ve gotten complacent and lazy and just generally do not care about the patients.

Understanding and able to here out an issuue. Has a great system with there nurses to easily get someone in and out.

I had a single psychotic episode related to a reaction to a medication. Dr Mehra was so helpful and supportive. He also helped my son with ADD when my son was a teenager.

Dr. Mehra is probably the most real and professional doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by. His front staff and PA are always very straightforward and professional as well. If you are looking for a great psychiatrist then this is the place.

Awful. Would cancel appointments last minute. Would never call in just prescriptions on time. Messed up my prescription then were very rude when I was trying to get it fixed. The dr is hardly ever in the office so if he does have to fix something he messed up you will have to wait days and the staff will be condescending about it. Dr Mehra was absolutely wonderful to speak with. He understood why I was there and really wants to help. I look forward in seeing him in the future. His Staff is 2nd to None. Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving.

I am a patient of Dr. Mehra, seeing him for almost 2 years. I feel medically and mentally strong. Dr.Mehra, is very knowledgeable, concern, listens, and humorous. I have a medication regime, working for me (a few tweaks) but therapeutic; my anxiety, ADHD and depression is manageable. I look forward to my visit, he answer my questions, give detailed information and never rush my visit. The front staff is accommodating and orders my medication in a timely manner. The staff is out of control rude and I saw the office manager today and figured out why! Ridiculous. I’m definitely taken care of this!

Dr. Mehra is okay. But the people in the front are rude and stuck up. In fact the one that always takes my money. She looks depressed herself.

Good luck getting ahold of anyone to make an appointment and good luck getting them to call you back. They even put their answering machine/service on early so they don't have to answer or deal with you. Front lady is the absolute worst. Lazy and rude.

Dr. Mehra is the best psychiatrist I have ever had, and I am 58 and have had many psychiatrists over the years. He is kind and genuinely caring. You are not just a number to him. He is highly intelligent and does not rush you with your visit. He definitely gets to the root of your problem and prescribes the correct medication and I have never done better. I've been seeing Dr. Mehra for almost 4 years. He's helped me manage my depression and anxiety. We navigated a pregnancy without medications and finding the right medicines to use while nursing an infant. He's been an essential part of my wellness. I'm so thankful for him.

Dr Mehra has helped me so much with my anxiety. He is personable and kind. He has shown me things about myself that I did not see and this understanding has had a positive impact on my mental health.

I was treated so poorly here as soon as I walked in. The receptionist was cold, rude, and dismissive. I scheduled my appointment a month out to fit into my own schedule and timeframe of needing services, and when I arrived this woman told me that my appointment had been canceled. She argued with me about this claim because I know I did NOT cancel my appointment. Then she says, “Sit down!” A few minutes later she seemed almost joyful. To tell me that they had canceled my appointment because they don’t take my insurance. I was told when scheduling my appointment that they did and as I explained to this “lady” (or possibly a witch in lady’s clothing, that nobody called or made an attempt to contact me at any time to let me know this. I’m going to research this further because as I sit here doing more research, their website indicates that my insurance IS accepted here. I have no comment about the doctor because I never made it that far. I have wasted my time and gas over this circus. Stick with the VA if you have the opportunity. Very friendly and professional

Excellent, caring, well informed doctor!

I have never felt more comfortable in my life with a doctor. It was like having a conversation with a friend who actually listened! For years I have felt like I have had no control over my thoughts and emotions. The meds previously prescribed by my PCP worked slightly but never enough for me to feel “normal” or “better”. After 20 mins with Dr. Mehra he told me my diagnosis from my PCP was incorrect and was treating only a small part of my symptoms. After talking through my symptoms it was clear to him, a new diagnosis was made and meds were changed. I have such a positive hopeful out look now. I know meds take time to work but Dr. Mehra feels so confident that it makes me feel confident as well. I would recommend any one who has struggled with any kind of mental illness, depression or anxiety to come here. Your going to love the staff and the doctor and they will take amazing care of you. I have been a patient if Dr. Mehra for almost 6 years now. He takes the time to discuss all issues relating to my mental health. He displays much empathy and compassion. I have been going here for a couple years now and Dr. Mehra and PA Angie are both amazing people and have helped me SO much with my anxiety and panic attacks. Dr. Mehra will easily spend an hour+ with you until all of your questions are solved. He offers a lot of advice and examples on how to change your thought processes, etc. He is so good with his patients and makes you laugh even if you're not having a good day during an appointment with him. The Doctor here was great. I could tell he cared and wanted to help. The PA I see is also awesome. I can tell she cares and has my best interest in mind. Together they have done an excellent job of implementing my medication plan and making all appropriate adjustments needed. Now for the receptionist... I refuse to let her affect my star rating but feel the need to share my frustrations with how I have been treated by her. She made a mistake and had the wrong medication refilled for me over the weekend. When I called to tell her she actually blamed me for the mistake. She said that she got a message from me asking for the wrong medication to be refilled. Now I may have failed to mention the correct medication And just said I need a refill but believe me I DID NOT ask for the wrong one to be filled. She must have assumed that upon looking at my chart or records which one needed to be refilled. So she must’ve just selected the last medication fill. Now mistakes happen to everyone but for her to blame me for the mistake and refuse accountability is childish and unprofessional. She then proceeded to tell me I could expect it to be filled this evening. I don’t like confrontation especially with someone who is extremely rude to me so I just accepted that I will be without my medication for a couple of days because it’s taken in the morning not the evening and apparently fixing the problem is not her priority. My husband called and tried to ask her to expedite the process because I had been out of it and can’t take it in the evening. She was extremely rude to him as well and told him “It’s not a life threatening medication and she will be fine.” Seems like a lot of the bad reviews on here are all about her. If you want an office that focuses on quantity versus quality, you have found the perfect place! From the unprofessionalism of staff to the bedside manner of this practice, it's a complete waste of time. Don't waste your time on this unethical, joke of a place.

Gave them 3 days notice on a refill. For 3rd time in 4 attempts they forgot or made an error in sending it to the pharmacy. Do the math...75% of the time they can't perform a task as simple as refilling a prescription. Truly pathetic!

Dr. Mehra made me feel very comfortable. He’s easy to talk to, very personable. The staff has always been friendly. After reading some of the reviews, I just want to add that there is a difference between psychologists and psychiatrists.

November 27th - Being 45min late for our 1st appointment Dr. Vikram did not find it in himself to apologize for the time wasted yet made it back to us with his great personality. I did leave his office fully trusting him yet a little short on time… The office manager could have been a little more understanding about my inquiry about the delay. December 4th – Arrived on time and knocked on the closed privacy window asking to prepay yet could not get a response. After I set down I was called back to the window to pay. At this point the Dr. was at least 10min late (I was the 1st appointment of the day…) so I just walked out and now looking for a different doctor. Dr a Mehra seems to be a good doctor, however I don’t like that you don’t see him all of the time. I feel as if I pay my money, co pay or whatever then I should see him and not any other doctors. I think once you meet him then he should continue to meet with his clients. If he cannot then he needs to cut back on the patient load. That can look very money hungry and to only be in there 15-20 min it is not worth it. Not to mention after waiting 45 min-2 hours to see him. I just found another doc.

The front office staff needs training on how to greet patients (customers). Today a receptionist called me to the window by mispronouncing my first name. Then when I got to the window she simply said, "Fifteen." Not, "How are you today?" or "Your copay for today is $15.00." Just, "Fifteen," like she's barking at me. Very rude. The waiting room furniture has mystery stains everywhere and the carpet smells damp and dank. It's depressing just sitting in there. To me the condition of an office's waiting area reflects the office staff's level of concern towards patients. That attitude comes from the top down. Also during my initial visit Dr. Mehra constantly referred to himself as "a glorified drug dealer". His words, not mine. It didn't inspire much confidence from me. Dr. Mehra is wonderful.. However, the last two years or so i have not gotten to see him. When I make my appointments, I specifically say i want to meet with Dr. Mehra only. I still get stuck with the other doctors. I have been going there for almost 4 years now. its been disappointing :(

Dr Mehra has been a Godsend over the years, his smile and professional services...I always will be grateful, he's a blessing to me!

I feel that Dr Mehra is very pompous and makes assumptions that his pre-defined circle of treatments can successfully treat all patients. He is very wrong. Mehra did not ask about the history of the medications that were he attempted and the outcome of those prior attempts of the medications. My neurologist disagreed with everything Mehra had tried and disagreed with the very basis of Mehra's treatment. My neurologist helped where Mehra could not help due to his own pompousness.
