Today was my first visit with Dr.Kaplan. Everyone I met on the office was very friendly. Dr. Kaplan was wonderful! He Drained my knee and gave me a shot to relieve some pain until MRI comes back. Thank you so much!

Dr. Kaplan is an amazing surgeon. I’m 6 weeks out from surgery. At 5 weeks I already had ROM of 120. I’m walking with slight stiffness, doing exercises without pain, stairs and driving. If you need a knee replacement he is your surgeon hands down!!!

Dr. Kaplan has done several operations on my knees through the years. He is informed knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. He Utilizes the latest techniques and is very experienced.

Where do I begin? First, the office staff is nasty and rude. On my first appointment I had to see the P.A. because of course the Dr. wasn't available. He didn't know what he was doing and was condescending. My knee was extremely swollen yet he was unable to drain it. I made another appointment, this time I insisted on seeing the Dr. I had to wait 3 weeks. I finally got there and was in a lot of pain, and was then told, "Oh, the Dr. isn't here. You"ll have to see a P.A." I was furious. The second P.A. wasn't any better. He did nothing, except order an MRI. So once again I made an appointment with the Dr. I had to wait another 3 weeks and it was 2 weeks AFTER I had the MRI. This time he showed up only to tell me I need surgery. He said that was the only option. He even had the consent form filled out. I refused to sign it and got a second opinion! My new Dr. is so much better! She said surgery at this point would make it worse and offered me several other treatment options! She even drained a LOT of fluid from it and today it is feeling much better already. Dr Kaplan is a very talented surgeon and has done two knee replacements for me, nine years apart. He is one of the leading innovators in improving knee surgery outcomes. Both of my knees are just like brand new. Listen to the Doctor. He told me that I needed to be aggressive and push myself to the max during the physical therapy immediately after each surgery. My reward for following his instructions was great range of motion in my knees and the ability to return to an active lifestyle. Terrible bedside manner, sarcastic and oftentimes had me see his PA. He stalled me for months to replace my knee so I chose a true professional and am extremely happy I did.

Went in for a torn meniscus snd came out with a carved out knee

Dr. Kaplan is an amazing and caring doctor. I had a full knee replacement and he was great. I recommend him.

Very satisfactory

My father had a knee replacement surgery which was not entirely successful. He was told to give it another year or so for his knee to fully recover. If not, Dr. Kaplan would perform a minor procedure to fix it. 2 years later his knee was in as much pain as before. During our last visit, I asked about my father's upcoming surgery and what had gone wrong in the first place. Dr. Kaplan suggested that my father perhaps had not taken care of his knee the proper way after the surgery. Dr. Kaplan then preceded to say "I wouldn't put your father through another surgery because of his age (early 70s) if I was you, I will not do it, there isn't really anything else I can do"...He then handed me my dad's entire medical history folder. Most disturbing to me, however, was the fact that Dr. Kaplan recorded our entire conversation with a female assistant as a witness the whole time. Upon talking to other patients we realize that it isn't the first time this happens with Dr. Kaplan.

This review is not for Dr. Kaplan, but for office receptionists. I didn’t have a chance to meet the doctor because the service is awful. By using your “Request Appointment” website - I requested an appointment and waited to hear from the office. When I called - receptionist told me that someone called and left me a voice message. It was not true. Dr. Kaplan, I hope I’m the only one who has to look for another doctor because your receptionists don’t do their work.

Horrible doctor and horrible person. Good thing I went and got a second opinion

Called office two days to make appointment. Received a call back the first day @500 pm. I was not home. Message said called the at 9am to make appointment Again not able to speak to any one. Left message again. Did not receive a call back. This type of patient service is not welcoming. Will be calling another practice in the am

I'm on my 3rd day after knee surgery. I'm only experiencing minimal discomfort, and walking better than I have in months. I'd definitely see Dr. Kaplan again should the need arise.
