The doctor was really good but I've been calling to make a change of my daughter's boots and bar and nothing no call back yesterday i called again and they never called.

I was very impressed with all the reviews, and how other patients reviewed Dr. Lago. I had already been on quite a painful journey finding the right orthopedic surgeon, and so glad I came across Dr. Lago. His nurse Brisma is amazing, and does an amazing job at advocating for her patients. We had some pretty major issues with the hospital during the pre-op, and she was able to correct everything. When we went back a few days later to finish the pre op the OR director was aware of the situation and waiting to speak to us. Both the director and my pre op nurse were very thorough and made sure to answer all my questions. I’m looking forward to walking normal and without living in agony. I was referred to Dr. Lago. Although I feel the surgery was a success, I don’t feel like I got the necessary care that was needed throughout the process post surgery. I understand the doctor gets busy; he is a pediatric surgeon and does a small percentage of adults, but patients still need documentation, medication and other things. It should not take days nor weeks for someone to receive these things. Day of surgery, I was sent home with no prescriptions for my pain. I had to wait a whole weekend with no medication. It was so bad that I had to have my daughters spend the night at their grandparents. Apart from that, documents that I requested would not be finished until weeks after I asked. I just want to get back to normal as soon as I can, but as you guessed…..it’s put on hold due to thing not being done when it’s supposed to. I was referred to Dr. Lago. Dr. Lago did surgery on my mom's broken hip a couple of years ago. While my mom was recovering in the hospital, he happened to be on the same floor my mom was when she was bleeding to death, all while there were more than 4 RNs and CNA's there with her. My mom needed a blood transfusion and these nurses were standing there, some of them even joking around. Dr. Lago ordered them to transfer her to ICU asap before she lost more blood. It was a miracle my mom survived that night, Dr. Lago was an angel in disguise. It wasn't his job to do that, but he did, he did that because he's humble and has a caring heart for his patients. I went in for surgery 6/23 in the morning, and by that evening I was already walking on my new hip using a walker. On 6/24 I was walking longer distances, and by 6/26 I was already up to 5,000 steps walking with a support crutch/ hiking stick putting most of my weight on my new hip.
