I can't get my results from a test I had a week ago. So sad bc I believe he is a good doctor.

No way to get in touch to make an appointment. Sat on hold several times over the past few weeks for well beyond ten minutes each time. Left a detailed voicemail with all my information but never received a call back. Seems like something needs to be fixed.

Dr. Labella is good but I had to wait 45 minutes to see him. Conducted an unnecessary test which did nothing in regards to the problem I am having.

Dr. Mike Lavelle has been very good at engaging with me in conversation about health issues and life issues. He is approachable and understanding. He is extremely knowledgeable about Urological challenges and can explain them well in layman's terms.

The Dr. knew absolutely nothing about why I was there or even any of my history. We tried to explain it and get some answers but he had none. Basically it was a money-grab appointment for the doctor; we already knew what was going to happen at the hospital procedure, but since my existing Dr. could not run the specialized equipment for the procedure we had to have Dr. Lavelle do it. I tried to just schedule for the procedure and skip the office meeting but his staff would not allow; they said I had to have an office visit first. He then told the insurance company he spent 25 minutes with us and fully covered everything and answered all questions! The actual time in the "meeting" was about 5 minutes. The wait was a little long.

Dr. Lavelle is a fantastic doctor, however the lady who took my lips on-site was not properly trained or having a bad day as she moved the blood draw needle around in my arms before successfully hitting an artery. It’s been 4 days and my arm has a noticeable bruise.

If you're looking for an excellent urologist, I recommend Dr. Michael Lavelle and his entire staff. It's rare when I give an MD 5 Stars. He or she would have to also practice functional (integrative, holistic) medicine in order to get 5 Stars. That's why Dr. Lavelle gets 4 Stars as he is strictly by the MD book. But he is very respectful of other forms of healing; it's just not his area of expertise. He never belittles herbs, acupuncture, supplements, Chinese herbs, etc.---they're just unfamiliar to him. So he may often suggest drugs and surgery; if you can find ways to avoid drugs and surgery, as I have with a Chinese herbalist and a supplement company that deals in men's issues, more power to you! Dr. Lavelle is very direct and pleasant. He doesn't screw around. If you are in some kind of danger (as I was) he'll let you know. He knows when to order tests, and won't hesitate to do so. I have seen Dr. Michael Lavelle for 9 years now for a bladder condition. He has givien me outstanding medical treatment. He Is very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. He doesn't" rush you in and rush you out of the examining room, he gives you time to discuss your issue.

Had a prostate biopsy in his office. It was uncomfortable to say the least, but he tried to put me at ease. Very little pain but I was uncomfortable with procedure just because of how it had to be performed. Very professional staff and I have been going to Dr. Lavelle for several years now.

I visit Dr. Lavelle regularly for checkup on Bladder Cancer. He is very thoughtful and does take time do discuss options. BTW. This site says he is 79 years old, NO WAY. Maybe 49 at the most.

Dr. Michael Lavelle is an excellent urologist. He is direct, compassionate and listens and communicates well. He is quick to recommend necessary treatments when needed. He isn't into a more eclectic approach---which is what I prefer, but he is respectful of nutritional and herbal methods, etc., and doesn't put them down; he explains that it's just not his field, and you are free to explore other ways as long as they are not harmful. His staff is efficient and friendly. Verdict: Recommended.

I urge anyone thinking of getting a vasectomy to understand the risks of serious infection. I received 2 staph infections during my procedure at NW Urology. I spent 1wk in the hospital in excruciating pain and with a life-threatening infection and fever. I went in for another surgery to remove a cantaloupe size infection. It took another 3mos to get my life back. Despite great insurance, I am out-of-pocket $12K. Despite hiring an attorney, their insurer has denied reimbursement for costs.

I’ve been a patient for a few years and have found every interaction to be full of friendly, concerned, and informative conversations. Dr. Lavelle is a fine professional who actually sees a patient as a complete person, not simply as a symptom.

Dr. Lavelle is one of the best doctors I've had. He is professional, caring, non-judgmental, competent and thorough. I felt at ease from the moment I walked into his office. Dr. Lavelle provided excellent care and called me at home to follow up twice after my procedure. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Completely professional and given that youre there to have something looked at or possibly operated on that is a very sensitive and sometimes embarrassing part, I couldn't have felt anymore comfortable and treated like a person, not just a job..hats off to Dr. Lavelle and his staff.

Dr. Lavelle performed my vasectomy about 3 months ago. I was very nervous about having this procedure done and he completely put me at ease. My appointments were thorough and efficient. The actual procedure was amazing quick and I experienced minimal discomfort afterwards. His follow up was impressive and I'm glad it's over. I will definitely go to Dr. Lavelle again if needed.
