Amazing Doctor. Perform Surgery ony 19 year old daughter. Simply amazing

Needed treatment for trigeminal neuralgia. They reviewed my MRI, had a resident call and he suggested treatment that I was already taking when he left a message on my phone. Called again and asked for him to leave a number so I could talk to him but again he did not leave a number to call. I am a physician so I wrote a short 2 paragraph synopsis to save them time but they obviously did not read it. Very disappointed !! Dr. Lawton saved my daughter's life on Valentines Day, 2,14,2022. She had a "golf ball sized bleeding cavernoma" deep within her brain. Dr. Lawton is the only person we could find who has done over 1000 of these surgeries. Thank God we found him. 100% successful surgery, my daughter went home from the hospital TODAY (2 DAYS AFTER SURGERY)! AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE! Thank you again, Dr. Lawton, for saving my daughter's life. Successful AVM surgery April 2018. Dr. Lawton was in and out of my head in half the time of any other surgeon could do the job. Highly recommend.

Michael excised a lower lumbar nickle sized tumor in Dec 2015 which was threatening both motor and organ function at some unknown future time. 100% successful. He's the very best. Dedicated entirely to sharing his gifts now at Barrow.

Dr Lawton is an amazing neurosurgeon. He has literally written the book on AVM resection. He came highly recommended and successfully removed a large AVM against the motor strip. We will always be greatful. Thank you!

My sister just had her aneurysm clipped by Dr. Lawton (three weeks ago). Unruptured, 6x7mm, left internal carotid artery aneurysm. We are grateful that after she changed her insurance, she was able to finally find Dr. Lawton and got the procedure done. The aneurysm was 'cherry, thin', and ready to pop.... With that, we are forever grateful that Dr. Lawton took care of it. She is still bright and funny after the surgery. We owe it to Dr. Lawton who did it so beautifully!! We made contact with Doctor Lawton initially through the 2nd opinion program at The Barrow Institute via a friend of ours telling us he wouldn’t get an AVM resection (brain surgery)taken care of anywhere else but Barrow and that doctor Lawton is the best in the world. We of course did our research and our friend was not wrong! Brain surgery is no joke and what we have learned is there is a huge difference between just a really good brain surgeon, and the best in the world especially when it comes to doctor Lawton’s expertise in AVM and aneurysm treatment. This was our second brain surgery and I wish I had gone to The Barrow Institute and doctor Lawton the first time. I’ve also been in four different hospitals in a year and a half, as we have gone through this and when it comes to the surgery process from beginning to end Doctor Lawton’s team, doctor Washington (anesthesia) was amazing, the residents were great, and the nurses after surgery were awesome. The Barrow Institute is next level and so hopefully you never need a brain surgery but if you do, and you can get to the best, doctor Lawton has my vote! Dr. Lawton is an excellent neurological technician but very weak on pre and post op doctor patient communication. I suffered a heart attack within 36 hours after he performed a spinal tumor excision because he ordered a full spinal MRI while I was still in post op recovery and in distress. I had been off of my blood thinner per his instructions as well. The MRI tech at UCSF lied when he told me that I would have to lie still for the entire 2 hour MRI which was impossible. I complained to the CEO
