Dr. Michael C Maxwell

Excellent bed-fellow.

Nice guy but not very good at diagnosis. I've been visiting him on and off for a decade. He is fine if you just need anti-biotics, anti-inflammatories or the like. But if you need any sort of serious diagnosis look elsewhere. I've had two ailments he was not able to diagnose after multiple visits, tests and drugs. I ended up getting the correct diagnosis elsewhere. The first case was rare in adults, the second case was common.

I've been going to dr. Maxwell for around 20 years and I have not had any problems with him. I have referred several people to him and they like him as well I will continue to keep seeing him.

I was going to Dr. Maxwell for over 15 years. Yes, he's personable and very friendly. But the last few years, this doctor has completely checked out. He is quick to prescribe pills and thats about it. Any complaints you might have, he makes up total nonsense and just blows it off. I finally made myself look for a new doctor - and so many of the issues I was having over the years, were FINALLY solved and I could kick myself for not doing it sooner, because I finally feel amazing. Dr. Maxwell just wanted to cover things with more and more meds. He has a friendly personality but is totally useless as a physician. Do yourself a favor and take your health elsewhere.

Office does not return messages. Poor communication. Patient is ignored and left to suffer.

Prompt, courteous, caring

I am switching PCP. While Dr. Maxwell seems like a very personable and nice Dr. I was not satisfied with his follow through as far as recommending a clear plan to follow given my prognosis . I need clear and concise plan to follow to improve or better understand my condition, and at this point, Dr Maxwell has not helped with that.

I started seeing Dr. Maxwell for a few months due to my doctor leaving his practice. He went back on his word about filling my prescriptions multiple times, and yet I tried to be understanding. Then, at the beginning of the year, he had his staff notify me he was no longer prescribing, and would refer me to specialists. I didn't have enough medication to last until I could get appointments, and they told me it was no longer their responsibility. It was absolutely unprofessional and uncaring.

Finally a real person doctor ! I'm a new patient and haven't really had good luck. When you request 'preventative' and your insurance covers that, they still charge you for a medical visit... Dr. Maxwell Does NOT - Finally an HONEST doctor ! I wish I was younger so I could have 20 extra years, but hopefully I have 10 or 15. I'm NOT Leaving !

Today was my first visit with Dr. Maxwell. My first impression after arriving at the front reception desk was disappointment. The three female representatives at the desk were snobbish and never even smiled at me and my wife. Maybe this is the usual attitude towards their Medicare patients. Anyway, I was very pleased with the friendliness of the doctor's two assistants in the back office and I was very satisfied with Dr. Maxwell.

I am dissatisfied with the staff at Dr. Maxwell's and their constant inability to correct their mistakes. Simple tasks such as getting referrals sent over to specialists and faxing over lab reports should not have to take several calls on my part for someone to do their job. Believe me, this is not a one time thing. I've been dealing with this for the last two years. By the way, don't bother getting sick and trying to get an appointment on Thursdays,...that's the doctor's golf day.
