Dr. Michael Illar Muul

I had a really awful experience here a few months ago--I was in the worst mouth pain of my life and had an emergency referral to Muul. Meeting Muul, he took some scans, looked into my mouth, and immediately began shaming me for my teeth. I tried to explain that as a child, I was in a neglectful household and was never taken to the doctor, let alone a dentist, but he spoke over me, continued berating me and essentially blamed -me- for my complicated teeth. I have -never- seen an adult act this misbehaved, this boy was probably faced with a tough challenge but didn't know how to say he couldn't take it on. So he lashed out. My new surgeon understood my painful childhood background, didn't blame me for a second, and completed a complex oral surgery because he knew he had the expertise to do so. If you have the option, I fully recommend you see Joseph Arzadon--APEX should -not- be serving people!!

I cannot begin to express how upsetting my experience was with Dr. Muul. I gave one star only because his office staff did their best to help alleviate my stress. Dr. Muul, on the other hand, failed at explanations and clearly was annoyed when questioned for understanding. The final straw was being asked if I wanted to be sedated (which is what I scheduled) and the response was that there wasn't time remaining in the schedule that I knew I had to leave the office immediately without completing my procedure. I have NEVER been treated by a doctor in this manner and I have had multiple experiences requiring surgeries.

This is the worst doctor. Doesn't deserve the 1 star. He probably skipped the bedside manner class at medical school. Ignore my questions during consultation. Staff tried to charge more than what they should. Avoid this doctor!
