My modest rating reflects the fact that the doc was 50 minutes late. I find that disrespectful. Could a doctor at least send someone in to say he's tied up and will be late? Excellent customer service from start to appointment! Very personable, professional staff! Dr. Rowland was professional, thorough & explained all options available. I drove over 3 hours from New Hampshire because of a previous surgery performed 3 years ago by another surgeon on staff (Dr. Owen McConville)!! Well worth the drive!! Thank you to South Shore Orthopedics!!

I have a torn ACL and was recommended SSO. The efficiency, care and friendlyness I received from all the staff, nurses, and doctors made the whole experience much easier.

Dr. Rowland, makes it very easy to understand what it is that your dealing with. Answering any questions you may have. Office is very clean. And appointment was on time.

Dr. Rowland is great. He showed me exactly on the x-ray where my knee was healing, and explained everything. I love South Shore Orthopedic, BUT, for an orthopedic clinic, they could do with wider parking spaces so we can get our assistive equipment in and out more easily. And the check-in process is too slow. You can't have folks with broken ankles and legs standing in line for ten minutes. Got to be a better way. Also, EVERYTHING you need to fill out should be on a tablet or computer. No more filling out paper forms.

I’ve been seeing Dr Rowland for a couple of years now and we’re about to schedule surgery. I’m nervous, being my very first surgery, but I feel confident with Dr. Rowland. He’s professional, courteous and certainly very knowledgeable. 5 stars

I’ll keep this simple. Dr Rowland is the best Dr I’ve ever had by a long shot. I actually look forward to my visits. I always leave feeling so much better in every way. I’ll never use anyone else for me and my family. If you need a great Dr to help you with your orthopedic health do yourself a favor and meet this man.

I really like this Dr. He is genuine and kind and extremely caring. He always diagnoses me and takes the time explain everything. I highly recommend him.

I had a distal bicep tear, Dr Rowland fixed me up, I’m 3 months out and almost good to go. I would highly recommended Dr Rowland.

I really felt glad to see a doctor and have him tell me that the swelling in my knee was normal for a contusion and traumatic bursitis. It will get better over time.

He is very caring, and honest with the best way to help me with my knee that has giving me pain every 2- to three months. I have decided to go forward with knee replacement. We both decided it the best decision,after this past year. I thank him for helping me make the wright call. A great doctor,and great staff, at south shore Orthopedics. Three months gone by swelling didnt go down after trying pt,it hurt worse so went back he drained it corizon shot,feels great he is a great doctor,got knee pain go to South shore orthopedics Weymouth, most are done their.

Got injections cortisone for both knees. Dr. Rowland very willing to discuss all of the issues. He is very patient. I cant imagine anyone giving a more pain free injection.

Impressed with the congestion in the lobby with patients how efficient the whole appointment went. Very thorough & professional.

I am very unhappy with Dr Roland. I went there on recommendation. He introduced himself and seemed pleasant enough. Unfortunately that is where it stopped. After explaining I had had a severe back injury prior to this appt, I also explained that I felt that I possibly had a torn ligament in my right hip as well. I based my reasoning on the fact that aprox 8 years prior I had torn the 3 ligaments in the same hip and the pain in the groin and down my thigh was the same. He said my back injury could also explain the same symptoms and he quickly said he didn’t think it had anything to do with my hip but more with my lumbar injury. He offered to give me a cortisone injection but then said I needed to go back and follow up with the neurosurgeon which I did. No xrays were done. No further tests ordered. I felt he “completely washed his hands quickly as he “just as quickly” moved me on” and out of the office. I have since had several epidural injections in my sacroiliac joint and lumbar spine which have minimized my back pain but still I am having severe pain in my hip and thigh. As I explained to Dr Roland, I cannot walk more than the length of my driveway before the intense pain begins and takes my breath away. I had a second opinion day before yesterday and an MRI was done last night. Today, after 10 1/2 months of 24 hour a day non stop pain, I have learned that the Supra Labral is torn ( as I had suspected all along)!!! So , after 10 1/2 very long months and doing 15 weeks of PT , I now need surgery. What makes me mad is NOT the fact that I need surgery. PEOPLE KNOW THEIR OWN BODIES AND DR ROLAND YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO LISTEN TO ME!! Granted, I don’t have your education, and I don’t specialize in orthopedics. However, I HAVE THE PAIN! I KNOW WHERE IT HURTS BECAUSE IVE BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE!!! YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME! So I have needlessly suffered for 10 1/2 months! I am very unhappy with Dr Roland. Dr. Rowland did my total knee replacement, restoring my ability to walk and helping to greatly relieve chronic pain issues in my right side. I'm puzzled by the critical review that was posted: the man that did my surgery was kind, patiently listened to my concerns, and went out of his way to help me comfortably navigate my surgery from pre-op to post. I would highly recommend Dr. Rowland to anyone needing orthopedic care!

Dr. Rowland did both my shoulders years ago...no problems since! It's time to fix my knees! I am very confident in his ability to get them working again!

I am extremely pleased with the quality of care I have received by Dr. Rowland. The communication prior to and post surgery has been beyond what I expected. He has remained involved in my recovery and so has his PA. Very happy with my decision to use Dr. Rowland to replace my knee.

Dr. Rowland and his entire practice's focus is on the total Doctor-patient relationship. I am a big fan of their team approach. The patient is kept in "the loop " throughout the entire process. Any question that I may have is addressed immediately and nothing is left to chance. I highly recommend Dr. Rowland to friends and family for their orthopedic concerns.

He has been my doctor since 2009. He has done rotator cuff repair on both of my shoulders. He doesn't rush you & listens to you. His nurse practitioner Julie Havilland is great. She too will listen to you & makes you feel comfortable.

I already left my funny review but I don't see it. Let me just say, I had bicep tendon, rotator cuff and bone spurs that he took care of. The very next year, I tore my ACL, he took care of that and that was my 3rd operation. I was a kid when the previous two had been done. He gave me some of his opinions as to why I had the previous 2 operations. Which from what I have been told, makes perfect sense. I also got his sense of humor out. I MUST have a physician with a sense of humor. He is awesome!

Dr Rowland has been more than what i could ever expected. For 2 years was getting cortisone shots on my bad knees, with the understanding i would need total knee replacement for both. When the time came he offered the knee replacement but let it be understood to me he would continue cortisone. Talking with my family replacement was the way to go. Fast forward...Prep ..explanation, step by step what to expect via Dr Rowland, classes, webstite via his emails to me and still coming after Success!
