Dr Shakfeh is pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He was thorough in his consultation and my procedure went very well. The whole intake and discharge process was smooth. Afterwards, he discussed the findings with me in detail and recommended my treatment plan. His staff are wonderful and on the top of it in terms of communication and scheduling. I have already recommended him to my family members.

This is my second procedure with Dr. Shakfeh (colonoscopy) and I liked him so much the first time there was no one else to consider when it came time again. He’s very comforting and makes you feel like you are his top priority. Caring, professional, pleasant, open and forthright, he makes you feel connected to the process while not making you uncomfortable. I’m sure most men dread this procedure but it’s necessary and the doctor takes all the embarrassment away while always being easy to talk to. I’d recommend Dr. Shakfeh to anyone needing this procedure.

I came into the Rancho office to see Mohammad Shakfeh after having severe stomach pains and issues for over 7 months. It was to the point where I was in and out of urgent care/ hospitals due to extreme stomach pains after ingesting anything (food, beverages, etc.). I am already pretty under weight and had lost over 15 pounds. I was in dire need of help and after taking many different medications for my stomach (including probiotics for months) and seeing no improvement, was directed to a GI specialist. Dr. Shakfeh was anything but helpful. I waited for months for an appointment with a specialist and to get the help that I need but Dr. Shakfeh was very dismissive and uninterested in helping me. When I told him that I was in extreme pain and had lost over 15 pounds, he said "Well, you know, a lot of people want to lose weight, so consider yourself lucky". He barely asked me any questions before pushing me out the door and didn't set me up with any tests whatsoever to figure out the root of my problem. I asked him if he was going to set up any tests like maybe a colonoscopy or an ultrasound and he said "No! Why? just take probiotics, you'll be fine". Despite the fact that i had been taking probiotics for months and had been on probably 5 different medications for my stomach. I was in tears and told him I needed help and he just said "set up a follow up 7 weeks from now". He was extremely unprofessional and uninterested in helping me. However, after reading other reviews I am OVERWHELMINGLY glad that I did not get any procedure of any kind done by this man. Apparently he has a history of abuse and neglect to his patients. I am glad that i am no longer one of them. I have since found a new GI specialist who was very helpful (she gave me a physical exam within the first meeting) and set up multiple tests to help me and figure out what is really going on. The only redeeming quality of this office was the receptionist. She was kind and helpful and was very honest with me. When I was pushed out of the very short and disappointing appointment with Dr. Shakfeh, I told the receptionist I probably wouldn't be back because he didn't do anything to help me and is making me wait months for any kind of "specialist" treatment or advice. She was honest and told me that he was going on vacation and that is probably why any testing would be postponed. Bottom line, DO NOT go to this doctor. Go to a real professional who has your best interest at heart.

Didn't get enough sedation for colonoscopy. I was told to relax but I could feel everything. Got the strength to scream so they would stop. The staff didn't seem to be bothered by it. Just got a new referral to this dr 4 years later. Heck NO!!!

Do not go to this man he will make you endure things against your will and not allow you to revoke your consent. He violated me during a colonoscopy, and many other people. Look him up and you will find a pattern. I came in for rectal bleeding and horrible pain, we scheduled a colonoscopy where I was told and approved to be asleep. He kept me awake and refused to stop or put me to sleep as I screamed in pain telling him to stop. He instructed the nurse to hold me down as they finished against my will. DO NOT TRUST THIS VIOLATOR. HE IS SICK AND SADISTIC. He refused to give me my medical records, lied on them saying nothing was there when I was later found to have rectal endometriosis. Appointment at 4:00. Doesn't call us in until 5:00…

Had a first colonoscopy done three years ago somewhere else, all went perfect with a twilight sedation. Had a colonoscopy at this doctor's practice two years ago, no anesthesia was given at that time. Went in again two months ago, specifically asked for twilight anesthesia. They injected me with something, not sure what it was but I know it was NOT anesthesia, no twilight sedation relief at all. Very painful. He done colonoscopy for me without anesthesia with sever. Sever pain This is notice for every one trust in him This procedure must be done under complete anesthesia

It has been a few years since my colonoscopy but the memory is still with me so I am writing this review to warn others. He didn’t provide anesthesia and the pain was unbelievable. I had a colonoscopy years prior and it was pain free and professional.

If I were you I would not do it. I will say the doctor's very nice and friendly. The staff was wonderful. But the man did not give me any anesthesia I was wide awake for this procedure, and it was horrifically painful to the point where I don't ever want another colonoscopy in my life. I don't understand why I was not giving anesthesia since everybody I've talked to that had a colonoscopy, told me it's pain free and I will be put to sleep for it and be totally out. Horrific experience I think I'd rather given birth again and I've had horrible childbirth! Don't go here not to mention they told me to be there at 11:30 a.m. and that my appointment was at 12:30, they didn't even come get me out of the room to do my procedure until 2:35. They left my friend sitting out there waiting for me for hours and they could have told her to go home. Don't go here! update I just found out they have an office in Rancho Cucamonga near my house. I've seen the doctor a couple of times. He performed an endoscopy (camera down the throat) on me. He did just fine. No complaints. He's a nice guy and friendly. Staff is nice.

.... Every time I've had a consultation with Dr. Shakfeh he has consistently been quite a professional, as well as a gentleman.

Very poor medical research and knowledge skills. Uneducated. Did not care to provide any further medical treatment after colonoscopy. Said everything was fine and normal. However bleeding for 2 months is far from normal. When asked to provide medical records was told "NO" when asked again was told "NO WE HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO." Records are needed to get treatment from new GI. Health is declining and this doctor does not care. His office staffs are super unprofessional. Especially the manager 'Amal', don't know what she's doing. She thinks she is a doctor... My wife had an EGD procedure with Dr Shakfeh, after the EGD she got super sick, so I called to doctor office to discuss with Dr. Shakfeh but office staffs are refusing me to talk to Dr Shakfeh then at the end manager (Amal) came on the phone & saying that "your wife sickness isn't caused​ by EGD maybe something else so take her to the ER"..... OMG !!!, I told her before the EGD she was good, even minute earlier the EGD. After a while she said "okay doctor will call you". (the fact is my wife had an EGD procedures before with other doctors & never got sick) My point is she (Amal) must not say this kind of stupid (above) words to any patient family members at all, all she should say that doctor will discuss with you. I was seen 40 minutes after my appointment time and was told to get there early to fill out some paperwork. So in total I waited over an hour. Once I was called in by the doctor he told my kids to remain quiet and as I went to pick up my son to have him stop talking he told me not to and to leave him. Which infuriated me after he was being quite good for being 3 and waiting so long. Then he asked me what was wrong and when I began answering he told me my answers weren’t enough and kept interrupting me before I could further explain. Greeted right away with a smile and informed doctor with be with you shortly!! Dr. Shakfeh came to waiting room and took me to patient room for appointment. Explained procedure in detail and took time to listen to me my concerns! Back staff was very friendly, helpful in scheduling my procedure and prep details before procedure!

I've already recommended him since my first, and subsequent visits. This Doctor is the best I've seen in years (and I don't like Dr.'s much). He's knowledgeable, and explains everything step by step and makes sure you fully understand. I only wish he was my primary! He truly listens.

This DR is the one that knew what to do when others didn't. He had saved my life in 2013 after 4 others thought I was faking it! What a wonderful caring and compassionate manner he has. He just helped me again this week and I wouldn't have gone to any other Dr for help.He will always be my favorite "belly" doctor.

Very caring and excellent staff had a colonoscopy done and everybody was super very passionate very caring very a tentative very concerned and making you comfortable it made it easy especially when I didn't like the thought of it but they were exceptional and very caring to your needs

I feel he treats me like I'm not important or cares what i. going thru because I have medical I ask him questions and he answers the same I've been telling can u tell me what to eat since I can not eat anything he says yogurt and that's it I've done everything he says my stomach hurts he is not listening i got a infection because he does not hear me i only go to the hospitals because he does s not listen im starting to thing he wants me to have the operation I need help??

I will never go back. Dr. Shakfeh said I had no cyst or tumor on my pancreas. When I tried correcting him, he was not happy that I contradicted him. He did not have the lab report with him. I had read the report, and my tumor has grown since my last test. Next day I had a appointment with my primary Dr. and she confirmed my review of report. Just make sure you read your reports and get a 2nd opinion. My condition is very serious, and he shrugged it off and said that I am fine.

My Wife is a patient of Dr Shakfeh and I have also became a patient. He is responsible for indirectly saving my wife life as she knows it. She was diagnose with RECTAL CANCER, and his recommendation of radiation save her. He is by far the best, most pleasant, patient courtest doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient. Dr. Shakfeh prescribed a medication that I was in desperate need of. He has an assistant named Amal who worked very hard and fast to get this medication approved. she kept in touch with me giving me updates on when it would be ready so that I would not worry. I am so grateful for her help.

Dr Shakfeh is professional, caring, supportive and listens to my concerns and offers solutions. Dr Shakfeh gives big city medical expertise with small town personal attention which is comforting in this hectic health care world. My thanks to Dr Shakfeh.

Appointment was for 4:30 pm. This was an urge referral, and we were made to wait for over TWO hours! horrible service. Way too many patients. Don't understand how he is still accepting new patients when he can't handle the ones he has.

From the first meeting he was very attentive. He was never in a rush to get to his next patient and listened to my concerns. Being someone who is anxious at the doctors office, he always made me feel comfortable and at ease. I had a colonoscopy performed by him and he explained everything he was doing and saw during the procedure. He made feel very comfortable and relaxed. He is just a very pleasant man and a wonderful doctor.

Excellent care, and he tries to understand your situation. While having a complex medical procedure, the Doctor gave me support which reduced by stress and anxiety. He made every effort to help me understand and improve my health!

Dr. Shakfeh is compassionate and knowledgeable. I actually enjoyed my visit and he gave good advice and treatment. Definitely recommend him.
