Rude, condescending, speaks over you and does not care for the caretaking of the patient while under her watch. BE VERY CAREFUL LEAVING YOUR LOVED ONES IN HER CARE. This lady is the primary Dr for my grandfather who is currently at the hospital isolated with COVID-19 Pneumonia. He is 80Yrs old and has many health conditions. She is an absolute incompetent Dr. She failed to continue the med he was taking for his C. heart failure until grandpa told us his feet are swelling and his oxygen dropped to 80%. Nurse reviewed meds and we realized for the past week he was not given his medication to prevent water collecting around his heart.This added more pressure and stress to his body that is already fighting pneumonia Absolutely inexcusable, how dare a professional Dr. overlook such an important detail. If we didn’t have a medical background, we would have never understood or seen her mistake and lack of care. Secondly , absolutely rude when being asked to explain a medical diagnosis, she snapped at my mom for asking what can cause this pneumonia. WARNING:::: LONG POST…. To say I am EXHAUSTED of dealing with Dr. Arutyounian’s staff, would be an understatement. Dr. A and I used to work together years ago when I was an employee at GAMC ER. After leaving, I decided to make her my primary doctor because I loved how nice she always was. Well, it’s been YEARS since I’ve actually seen her in her office when I go in for any type of consult. Her nurse (not sure of her name) is whom I’ve met with the last few times I’ve come in. Not only is she SUPER rude and irresponsible but it has taken her a month to call me for my test results smh. Mind you, yes, I missed her last two calls but I’ve called back RIGHT AWAY and in literally what is a split second she’s “out of the office” or “busy”. Now, let’s talk about the other staff…. I’m not 100% sure who answers the phone when I call or if is different people because to me they all sound the same in the office. Whoever it might be, they’re super RUDE!!! Why?! Seriously, just so RUDE!!!!

During these stressful covid times, she managed to save both my moms and grandmas lives in a short matter of time. I have been with doctor Narine for over 5 years and I'm extremely happy with her. She is not only a fantastic doctor but also she is a kind, caring, concerned, all-around good human being. She takes the extra time to make sure I'm well and to address all my concerns. I never feel rushed at her office or that I'm just a number. She is genuinely cares about all her patients. Literally one of the most negligent offices in LA County. I've filed a complaint with the California Medical Board and do not recommend this practice to anyone. Her staff are unbelievably rude and will go out of their way to ensure that it takes the MOST amount of time to get back your results for anything (be it bloodwork, MRI, ultrasounds). I needed a referral to a specialist for a condition that required emergency intervention. For three months, Dr. Arutyunyan denied my requests. Upon switching Dr's and finally seeing a specialist, I was told that Dr. Arutyunyan's actions were extremely negligent, as my condition had gotten materially worse and many of the treatment methods that I could have used were not an option anymore. Sorry, I do not feel comfortable giving my real name for this review because I fear that this doctor may retaliate in some way (after all she has my data), that's how distrustful I am of this doctor. The doctor made me wait for over two hours though I arrived on time, while I saw her seeing other patients, who were Armenian, who came after me. The doctor is very rude, arrogant, came across as a racist against colored people, and has a bias against medicaid patients. The staff is negligent, disorganized; messed up my referrals. I had to call many times to find out about test results for blood work. I called about four times over a period of two weeks and they said they didn't have the results yet, while the lab kept telling me that they already sent them. The fifth time I called they said they had the results but the doctor had not yet reviewed them. Another three weeks passed, despite my repeated calls to inquire if the doctor had reviewed the results. In the meantime, I had already setup an online account for the lab and saw the results myself and interpreted them by researching online. All this negligence despite the doctor telling me during the first visit that my symptoms indicated there could be something serious going on in my body, hence the detailed blood work. After a few months of stress being with this doctor, I decided to get rid of her and got a new doctor. I wish I get the time to file a formal complaint against her because I found her negligent to the point of potential criminality. Dr. Arutyounian saved me, I was seeing many Dr.s for my illness and they prescribed medication that was not helping ...it was becoming life or death so someone mentioned Dr. Arutyounian and I saw her, she prescribed a different medication that saved and healed me. Dr. Arutyounian is very knowledgeable with illnesses she takes you very seriously she remembers you shes warm and charming. Is there a wait to see her sure if you don't like waiting get private insurance....I recommend going earlier than your appt. I take a book or my cell phone to pass the time. 5 Gold stars. Dr. Nara has been my personal/family Dr. for the past 10 years. I dont go often but when I do, she always takes very thorough care of the situation. Never over recommending drugs but offering healthful solutions of lifestyle and vitamins when needed and recommending all the appropriate tests annually. Just had all the tests I need for the year and I'm good to go. If you have an issue, she will act quickly to get you the appropriate care and make good recommendations if you need a specialist. Yes, her office can get busy but most good Drs. do. Sometimes I have to call to get a result but I realize Im not her only patient and I dont blame for them not making me the only important patient. If I dont want to wait, I'll call in and ask when is a good time to come in so I dont come at a busy time. I was told from a friend about Dr Narine Arutyounian that she was a diligent doctor, but i had my own doctor i had been going to for over 5 years. I had a severe ilness that i dont want to say, but my doctor was prescribing my medicine which was just making my stomach more ill. I said to my self i should try out Dr Arutyounian. Staff greeted me with smiles and comforted me that i will be seen by the doctor, while they asked for my insurance. My insurance was verified by the lady in the front, who was really generous in calling and finding out if i was eligible. After a short wait, i was called in to see the doctor by a very sweet and gentle nurse. The doctor then walked in and she made me feel at ease that she will take care of my issue. She asked me several questions, showing she actually was curious to see how to solve my illness. After her comfortable, polite, and very detailed analysis, she sent me off to the next door pharmacy to pick up my new medication. She also has a great way of relating with patients, as she was very humorous at the same time keeping it very professional and she made me feel very comfortable. She is absolutely incredible. Always takes extra care and time to make sure every single person is taken care and goes above and beyond to do her best. She has so many patients and treats each one with so much respect and care. Thank you for always taking care of me and my family.

Excellent. Dr. Arutyounian has been my family Dr. for over 10 years. She is caring and kind and always sees to it that I get proper care in various situations whether a bad cold or annual check ups. She helps me stay on top of my health whether recommending certian vitamins over drugs based on blood work or a specialist if I need one. I'm pretty healthy already but she just reminded me and recommended fish oil for me since my cholesterol was a tad high. I so appreciate this as I dont believe in a lot of drugs and neither does she. We will check again to see if my slight high level changes in 6 months. Thank you again Dr. for being a great Dr. and working WITH me to stay healthy. Her office gets busy so it's good to call ahead and ask when it's a good time to come in when not so busy.

I came here for an 11:00 APPOINTMENT and waited for 1.5 HOURS and still did not see the physician. I kept asking the nurse what’s taking so long, her excuse was that they were busy......i asked her what’s the purpose of me getting an appointment if ima be waiting this long....? No response..... By the way, let me mention when the nurse drew my blood she instructed me to rest my arm on my ELBOW while she drew it. As if that’s supposed to be a steady surface. Lord knows how much damage she caused. After waiting for another 30 min i find out the patients that the physician was just seeing had an appointment at 12 and again i asked the nurse why are they being seen before me when my appointment was at 11. There are also no words to express our gratitude for Dr. Narine Arutyounian. I have never experienced such professional and devoted care from a medical provider. I soon came to find out that Dr. Arutyounian treats each and every one of her patients with individuality, empathy, and care. She places the comfort and health of her patients first and is probably the most professional and punctual Doctor I have ever met. This Doctor deserves all of the awards that are possibly given out because if it weren't for her, we would never have received the utmost care, comfort and best possible results (for our situation) for our loved one. She has been my Dr for 12 years, never had any problems, she is very caring, the only negative thing is that they are always busy.
