The receptionist literally over books the patients. First time I was there, had to wait an hour still not being seen, had to leave for an hour, come back just to be seen . Let alone this woman booked an appointment when the doctor wasn't even there. Then when I did see him, dude was super rude to my mother. Came in the following week to get an answer for my bladder problem. Again the receptionist over booked people. Had 9 people a head of me. Took about 50 minutes to be seen. And when I did see him he didn't let me know about a procedure he was going to give me that day ahead of time. And he prescribed me medicine for something that wasn't even a problem. If you do decide to go this doctor make sure you come in an hour late so that you aren't waiting for an hour. If I could give this doctor a negative star review I would. Found this doctor by chance. Very friendly front desk. Doctor is very knowledgeable and skilled. They definitely do things a little bit old school, everything has to be done face to face, even though many things could be done over the phone or email. Originally I was going to give them a really bad rating bc of how I was being treated but Joyce, at the front desk, went above and beyond my expectations to correct the situation. She stayed in constant communication with me even when she didn't have to, to let me know she hadn't forgotten about me. I'm very grateful for her jumping and helping me resolve the mishap. Dr. Shah is 84 years old. All his office staff are around his age. They do not accept credit cards. All forms are filled in by hand, and prescriptions are written by hand, thus necessitating bringing them into the pharmacy and waiting (rather than electronically transferred. Receptionist puts all calls on speakers, so waiting patients get to hear a stranger's medical history. (At least I didn't hear any PII for that guy.) Does painful procedures without explaining or warning. All this made me uneasy but maybe some people like old-fashioned ways.

I recently went there to get checked. The lady at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Dr. Parvez was loud, and rude. When he saw me, He checked a few things and immediately recommended surgery without give me options or considerations. He also seemed more concerned with how he was getting paid vs. how I was doing. Additionally he discussed my next steps in towards surgery openly in front of other patients. He also discussed how insurance was going to pay him openly. The office manager Ms. Joyce has wonderful customer service. They can be short staffed at times, but speaking with her and the attention Dr. Shah gives is awesome.

Joyce and Dr Shah really came through for me when I was in serious pain from a kidney stone. I was able to get in to see him within an hour of calling his office and was scheduled for a lithotripsy the following day. He was focused on doing whatever was necessary to relieve the pain. I highly recommend Dr Shah!

I was so afraid when they found a kidney stone about 3/4 of an inch. I was more fearful when they told me I needed a stent. I had a horrible experience with my last stent 2 years ago from another doctor. I can hardly feel this one. Minimal pain when passing some of the broken stones too!!! Dr. Shah is not only an excellent urologist. Sure, his diagnoses are spot-on and he is very good at identifying the causes of your symptoms even if those causes have nothing to do with urology (as was the case for me), but he also has impeccable bedside manners. He takes the time to work with you and research your case. He'll call the pharmacist to discuss your medications, and he'll go downstairs to the radiology clinic to examine your CT scan with a radiologist... all during your office visit to him. Other doctors would see you for 10-15 minutes. Dr. Shah will see you for as long as needed. My last visit at his office took 1.5 hours as he explained everything to me patiently, answered my questions, examined me, discussed my case on the phone with other providers, and went to the radiology office. The two other patients that were waiting for their turn were happy to wait, as they knew that they too would get the same level of care from him. Dr. Shah's assistant Joyce is an absolute delight. She makes you feel at home in their office. She takes the time to review your papers and your appointments. She explains everything clearly, and she is also very friendly on the phone. The facility where Dr. Shah operates, Laurel Medical Center, is a very relaxed environment with no pressure, where the nurses take the time to chat and joke around with you. Dr. Shah is a wonderful doctor. My husband was in an urgent need of help and Dr. Shah and his staff came through. They were caring, knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating.

Dr. Shah implanted a stent which he later removed along with the stones (pl). Later, after recovery, he removed bladder stones (pl) and did a prostate reduction procedure. I have several (5) occasions with Dr. Shah and all are 5 star as far as I am concerned. LIstens, doesn't hurry, makes sure you are comfortable. Dr Shaw is the real deal,This Dr takes the time talks, probing with question, after question, he really get into what you really feeling, He is thorough . he has an excellent , way on comforting and reducing the anxiety and stress one feels when going to the doctor office. I was impressed with Dr. Shah, he took the time to listen to my health issues and recommended a non surgical procedure for me. When I had a problem on a Sunday he called me back in 15 minutes. He is a caring and empathic doctor. I’ve recommended him to several friends already.

Rather than treating the painful problem that was the reason for my visit, Dr. Shah tried to sell me an expensive treatment for a problem that was already being watched by my GP and not of immediate concern. He discounted my pain which had already been verified by a visit to an ER. A day before my examination by Dr. Shaw, blood work in an ER showed no infection; the day after Dr. Shah's examination, blood work in an ER showed infection.

I am dealing with kidney stones, bladder stones and an enlarged prostate. Dr. Shah has been involved since 911 took me to the ER with excruciating pain. Dr. Shah removed kidney stones, removed half of my bladder stones and is reducing the size of my prostate. The Dr. has come back to the hospital from his home on one occasion, called me at home to check my comfort level (on Sunday) and gone far beyond anything I have ever expected from a Dr. This man is the greatest.
