She listens, is caring, and is ready to try the least obtrusive remedies/medications first.

After treating me as a small-minded child, incapable of taking care of myself, I chose to leave Dr. Singal’s practice after a number of years. Instead of working with me, supporting me, and encouraging me to do better, she scolded me and was regularly irritated with the way I’ve tried to care for myself. Perhaps her intent was good, but I did not appreciate her style. I pay only for *good* care.

I have been seeing Dr. Singal for about 10 years and find her to be extremely knowledgeable and focused on ongoing follow along for my thyroid cancer and subsequent removal of the gland. She stays on top of the schedule of ultrasounds, blood draws, etc. to determine the need for med adjustment. She listens intently and asks pertinent questions to ensure all bases are covered. She reviews other health issues to ensure my PCP is addressing those in continuity with what she addresses within the endocrinology area. And her office staff are always striving to assist in any way they can.

If you don't have diabetes, DO NOT go to Singal. She is singularly focused and will order thousands of dollars of labwork to prove her preconceived diagnoses. Very disappointed.

Dr. Singal is the best endocrinologist. She has worked very hard on my case, being available at odd hours via IU mail to answer questions. She is warm, friendly, vicarious and highly intelligent. Most of all, I believe this endocrinologist may have saved my life. I had a rare metabolic disorder and Dr. Singal made medication and dietary recommendations that greatly helped me. I went from being on 4 medications for hypertension to 1, and I am 23 pounds lighter. No longer do I have to live my life in a fatigued fog state. This doctor is precise. She may tell you things you don't want to hear but it's for your own good. My primary doctor highly recommended her and he's right. She's the best, with excellent ethics and most of all, a winning, confident and warm personality that put me right at ease. I would not hesitate to go to her if you need an endocrinologist. I am a highly educated person, who unfortunately has a chronic condition. Despite my background and my own knowledge about treatment options, Dr. Singal talked to me as if she was scolding a misbehaving child. Moreover, she seemed to ignore my input about my own treatment and had her own very narrowly focused vision for my treatment. After seeing her for about three years, I switched endocrinologists. My new doctor immediately stopped the course of treatment Dr. Singal had me on.

Never spends time actually listening to the patient, it's a waste of time trying to talk about your concerns, preferences or a patients knowledge of their own body. If you were a previous patient of Dr. Meacham before he left choose someone else...NOT this doctor.

I've found Dr. Singal to be excellent. She is up on current research, fully at-ease in managing insulin pump therapy in a calm, confident manner. Appointments are not rushed in any way. She responds quickly to messages sent through the portal, including adjusting pump settings based on uploaded blood sugar patterns. The 90-minute drive (each way) to see her every three months is a bit of a hassle, but well worth it. I've found Dr. Singal to be excellent. Dr. Singal used to be my endocrinologist. I would NEVER, NEVER, recommend her to anyone. My A1c was down to a 6.0 (good compared to years passed), and she told me that if I didn't get it under 6.0, that I was going to deformed children, and that if I were ever become pregnant, my baby wouldn't make it to birth due to complications from diabetes. She was very unprofessional! Do not see this so called "Doctor!" She is horrible!! Dr. Singal used to be my endocrinologist. I would NEVER, NEVER, recommend her to anyone.
