Dr. Prajay Dhir

Dr. Dhir is a real caregiver. His ability to find time to explain issues at hand to his clients, is quite impressive. His staff members are friendly and caring too. Most importantly, he is an experienced ophthalmologist that I will recommend to any one who needs help in this area.

What I love the most about Dr Dihr is that is always ready to answer any questions I may have about how the great professionals at HEA can help me maintain the amazing gift of sight. Even if I am curious about things my friends or family are struggling with, he is happy to explain it to me. This visit was for post op cataract surgery. Outstanding customer service! Staff communicates exceptionally well with all aspects of the visit. Patient care is excellent. This doctor is highly skilled and know his stuff. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Dhir and his staff are pleasant, efficient and thorough. Dr. Dhir takes the time needed to explain his findings in a way that is understandable and not rushed. I have been going to him for several years and my care has been consistent.

Wonderful visit today with Dr Dhir. I appreciated his taking the time to thoroughly explain things to me. The actual physical office is difficult to find in the managurie of buildings in the business park. Front staff is very blunt and as a new patient you will have paperwork which no one reviews. That being said... nothing new. Once you get past this the actual nurse, medical assistants and the physician are through and professional. You will receive a great exam and leave with a good idea of your eye health, plan of care and or appropriate referrals. Dr .Dhir was great and explained everything where I totally understood.

I brought my special needs brother-in-law, Danny, here today for his annual check up. The staff was amazing with him. Made sure he was comfortable with all of the testing and explained everything very well. Excellent place & staff!

Dr. Dhir and his staff were wonderful, they explained every procedure and were very knowledgeable when I had some questions. I appreciate that he took the time to address all my concerns and explain my current eye condition.

Dr Dhir is obviously competent and an expert in his field. He has very impressive academic achievements and explains medical matters in an understandable way. He is very personable and polite as well as all the office staff. They are very efficient.

I was able to get in the day I called. Dr. Dhir has followed me for about 3 years. He is an excellent ophthalmologist and is willing to explain your condition well. He takes time with you and doesn’t rush. The staff is warm and friendly. A pleasure to visit!

Willing to spend time with the patient.

I would not recommend Dr.Dhir or Houston eye associates surgery center. I went for an eye exam that showed that i have cataract in both eyes. Decided to go with the recommended laser surgery and to do the left eye first and install a bifocal lens to get 20/20 vision. After 2 post op visits, my sight in the left eye was not getting 20/20 promised. When i told the doctor that 2 of my friends did the surgery and has 20/20 vision immediately after the surgery, he told me it takes different time for different people. I was not satisfied with this and consulted Dr. Wright of the Mann Institute. Dr. Wright tested the eye and found that i have Amacula degermation (AMD) in the left eye and that the wrong lens was put in. I went back to Dr. Dhir and told him what Dr. Wright thought. This time they saw the AMD and suggested a Lasik surgery might correct The problem or he could replace the Lens. I am really disappointed and mad. That office is soo much into money that they tried to collect a $25 copay because Dr. Dhir read the machine measurements (which are part of the procedure that i paid $3900). I recently visited Dr. Dhir’s Sugar Land office. The receptionists and his assistant who did the preliminary work were all very kind and caring like Dr. Dhir. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions the office visit was very timely and all the staff including the doctor were friendly and helpful and the appointment was a good experience. I was kept informed of any wait time and procedures.

My wife and I have used Houston Eye Associates for many years. Moving to Richmond Texas from Houston we stayed with them but changed offices and Doctors.Our new doctor, Dr. Dhir is excellent, spent ample time with us and gave us information regarding our exam and any follow ups needed. I should add that the staff is also excellent.

Dr. Dhir was my mother's opthamalogist for many many years until mom passed away last year. We were always pleased with the extra medical care she received under his care. I now have become his patient and expect to continue having dr. Dhir treat my medical eye conditions. He is attentive and considerate.

Second visit to see Dr Orajay Dhir within two years. I had an eye problem that my primary physician had looked at and referred me to Dr. Dhir. Dr Dhir fully explained the recommended treatment program and my vision started to improve very quickly after applying the medication. Dr. Dhir's staff were all great and professional. This was my first visit. The office was almost full. I thought I would be waiting forever. This was not the case. The receptionist was efficient, polite and caring. Everyone moved quickly from the nurse to the doctor and they were all caring courteous and professional. I felt well cared for and couldn't have had a better visit.

It was well worth switching eye doctors. The eye drops that Dr. Dhir prescribed are working so much better than OTC. He supplied samples and assisted in getting RX filled.

Dr Dhir treated my 96 year old mother for dry eyes and they only got worse. He said she needed a surgical procedure on her lower lids. I took her to Slade and Baker and found out she has Blepharitis and needed to be put on an antibiotic and they made a serum from her blood to help fight the infection. I can’t believe this clinic wanted to operate on my mothers eyes for an infection. Do I recommend them...NEVER.

This was my last visit here. Each time I arrive for an appointment, I wait 45 minutes to be brought to an exam room. Then it’s more waiting. They do not value patients time.

This is an updated review: I took my mother to see Dr. Dhir. He is a patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable medical doctor whom we liked. I had a few concerns as it relates to the overall visit, which I shared with the office manager, Ms. Jeanette. I appreciate the fact she was willing to listen, and address them as needed.
