Dr. Rae J Davis

Dr. Ray is the first pain management doctor I have seen to actually take an interest in where I described my pain and actually studied it and got me out of pain. I am so blessed to have found him!

I have been seeing Dr. Davis for over 5 years now. He is one of the few Dr's left that really listen. Willing to look at the big picture, compassionate, and very good at what he does.

The doctors and staff at this office in Landsdowne are good… But the office manager Emma, has no clue what she is doing. She has a very nonchalant attitude about patient care. She moves at her own pace and doesn’t follow up to ensure the patient gets what he or she needs! Just to be clear an office staff can definitely make or break an office .

Dr. Davis is an amazing doctor. He’s very knowledgeable in his field and extremely caring towards his patients. He is extremely thorough and willing to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Ray Davis is an excellent doctor. He and his team are very knowledgable and professional. Dr. Davis explained to me about the issue, what he will do, why and what to expect. Before him, Physician Assistant, Nidhi Govil was extremely courteous and explained each and everything about my spine in detail. Answered all questions very patiently. At the time of procedure also, his assistant explained everything what she will do and then Dr. Ray Davis at every step of the procedure explained everything before proceeding and how much time it will take and what to expect. Haven’t really found such a proactive team. Always felt in safe hands. Most importantly my excruciating pain of 75 days went away for the time being and now I can sleep peacefully which was very painful earlier. I am 42 years old and fell off a roof at 16. I have had 8 knee and 6 back surgeries and have seen multiple Doctors over the last 20 years. Dr. Davis ,Stephanie Sanderson, assistants, and office personnel are the ABSOLUTE BEST that I have ever had the luck to meet. They are not only extremely knowledgeable. They are very compassionate and understanding. Even though they are so very busy. You feel like you are the only patient they have. I have had probably over 200 injections and procedures in 20 years from multiple practices. Procedures including spinal stimulator, prolotherapy, PRP, nerve blocks, trigger point, denervation, and more. Dr. Davis is without a doubt the most gentle and caring of all Dr's I have seen. He takes the time to make injections and procedures as painless as possible. I can't say painless, but as painless as possible. I never fill out these questionnaires. But really feel the need to let everyone know how knowledgeable and compassionate this practice is. Pain dramatically decreased my quality of life. I spent several years feeling hopeless and helpless. But after finding a Doctor that saw me as human being in pain. I can finally enjoy life. My back had been in severe pain for months with a burning numb sensation in my leg every night. I was starting to have difficulty walking, sitting, and standing. Dr. Davis, his PA, and other staff gave me quick results with a kind and thorough explanation for my pain. The treatment almost entirely alleviated my pain in the couple weeks and months proceeding my injections. He was definitely one of the kindest doctors I had seen in the Northern VA area. Dr. Davis is fantastic. He explained every step of my treatment and before I knew it, he was all done with the procedure. He didn’t leave the office until all my questions were answered. Thank you for care, patience, and words of encouragement.

The staff is very very personable Dr Davis is a magician. Everybody that I spoke to it in the waiting room felt the same they drove from hundreds of miles and all said the same thing she was amazing he has the best attitude very easy to talk to and goes through each option with you don't know what else to say

If it were not for Dr Davis and Stephanie, I can't imagine what I would have done. This practice is fantastic. They are caring, concerned and treat everyone as if they are their only patient. Will never go anywhere else.

Love Dr. Davis! He is caring, and patient, with a sense of humor. He explains procedures, etc every step of the way. Kind office staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Davis and Nidhi, his PZ, for a couple of years. They have both been a tremendous help to me. I would recommend them to anyone needing the services of a Pain Clinic. Out of a 1-100 score, I can give them a 99+. The office staff and all the nurses were just as exemplary. Yes, again, I highly recommend this Pain Clinic over others.

Amazing!! Dr. Davis fully explained the entire procedure from start to finish so there would be no surprises. He is fantastic at what he does. I was expecting sharp pain from the procedure, but that never happened. Even the initial anesthetic needle was painless! Everything went exactly as he explained it. He even gave me a "play-by-play" report as he progressed from start to finish. I was very anxious about the procedure, but he placed me at ease. All went extremely well. Dr. Davis is supremely talented and has helped me more than any other pain medicine physician. His clinical staff is excellent and his office staff always caring and helpful. He has very good PA’s... better than any other pain management practice I have experienced.

Great assessment, great explanation of what likely cause is, great description of the proceedure in brilliant accurate detail, great care during prep and during procedure. Care after and explanation of what ti expect and when to come back. Totally recommend Dr. Rae Davis. Now i just have to convince him to ride Bakers Dozen MTB race with me, so we each only have to right 6.5 hours each with lots of breaks!! Was giving epidural shots based off 3.5 year old MRI , not listening to my symptoms, not ordering new MRI. Left and got new MRI, new DR, got shots with correct placement, finally achieved pain relief after nearly 2 years of agony doing same old thing. Should have left ages ago for someone who listened.

Great experience with Dr Davis easy to talk to and answers all of your questions in terms your understand.

It may take time to get an appointment with Dr. Davis, but once you do, he is very direct in his approach to your pain issue; explains what is going on and recommends treatment but makes sure you are part of the final decision. He is compassionate, making sure you are comfortable throughout treatment.

My experience with Dr. Davis was very good. My experience with his staff was NOT. I went in for a visit knowing my insurance covered the procedure. I get a bill a year later saying it's not covered. I called insurance and was told that the staff did not file my claim correctly and they need to amend it. I called the staff they refused to help or admit any fault whatsoever, so now I am stuck paying a $2000 medical bill or risk going to a collections agency. Very unprofessional staff
