Cancelled key prescription without notifying me.

This is a very patient man. I went from one med to another until we found one that worked for me. I’ve been in his care for several years for medication adjustments. He checks in every two months to see how I am doing. He listens, encouraging and empathetic.

Terrible doctor allows his own personal feeling to dictate how he deals with patients. He refused to care for me and my daughter because my other doctor suggested i get my medical weed card and he did not agree so he said to go to another doctor and refused to refill our prescriptions. I dont understand how a doctor can treat a patient this was and cause them harm. NOw my 14 years old daughter has to go through medication withdraw because of this so called doctor. He barely listens, he forgets what medication your on, his even called in the wrong amount and miligram into the pharmacy. My suggestion find a doctor that cares not just wants to make money off you.

Yes he is the best

For many years, Dr. Thapar and his staff has provided outstanding service to my son. Staff is polite and respectful. I highly recommend Dr. Thapar to others.

I have been to psychiatrists I find him very professional concerned about what medication I am taking all the side effects. I have discovered that the receptionist answers when in office I have even had Dr. THAPUR answer the phone. Someone always calls me back or sends me a text about my appt.

Best doctor in the world. When you talking to him he already knows what is going on in your mind. Very experienced and knowledgeable doctor. Very happy

Dr Thapar is very generous and kind. I don't know why other people are writing these awful reviews which are clearly false. He helped me get through my mental illness and helped me get through these uncertain times. As Covid is impacting my family dearly, I am thankful he has been so nice and professional with me. I highly recommend!

This place is quite unprofessional. This was to be my first appointment. I had forgotten the time so I called 2 hrs b4 appt and had to leave a message bc they never answer the phone. I ask to have text sent to me of appt time. I go in store for 30 minutes come out no text but 2 missed calls with message to call back. That did me a lot of good since they don't answer. Left another message and when I got home I called for 5 minutes straight and no one ever answered and no one got back to me. I go at time I think it is and 20 minutes later still waiting. I left. The staff is very friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. The atmosphere provides compassionate care and is very warm. Scheduling or rescheduling appointments is very easy. I've been seeing Dr. Thapar for a while now, I highly recommend!

Worst physician I’ve ever come across. Belittled our family, hung up on them, ignored our questions, took his time getting to releasing our family member when other staff literally said to us they have no idea why this doctor was not present, when he should’ve been. Used threatening words when speaking with us.

I had an appointment. I showed up twenty minutes early because I assumed I’d have to fill out paperwork and the door was locked. I called the office and someone answered. I told them I was here for an appointment and the door was locked. THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I called back multiple times later and got no answer each time. I took time off work to go to the appointment. Wonderful!! I'm surprised to see the bad reviews and sorry to those w those negative experiences. Sounds frustrating for sure. PERHAPS misunderstandings? My exp is that Dr. Thapar is a GOOD psychiatrist!! I've seen enough to know. I was w him since 2011 to 2017. He is patient, kind, listens, isn't afraid to show empathy and truly gets the psyche of mind mental and emotional connection and true life difficulties. I'm afraid I exp not great recep phn sit. also AT TIMES but don't throw baby out w bathwater! When u r calm try to tell the DOCTOR so he can b aware. Also, note, he's only 1 man and becuz hes so gd in high demand! In several positions in the county at least! He helped my husb realize needed higher dose prev dr for YEARS had on same dose nvr tstd levels.. wasted years. Dr Thapar was is a Godsend. Ur doc shld b tstng bld levels! Please don't give up! We have to be our own advocate which I know is extremely difficult when depressed and anxious but please keep trying. I moved out of area so had to find new Dr. limited to VA now excrutiating... went through 2 maybe 3 now. If u find bad 1 and u get btr/feel btr report the bad 1 and post rvws gd bad asap so we can help ea other like here! A bad 1 can push a person to end, a good one can truly help. They MAY hav meant well begining of career, hope not just in for money, but some may need a jolt that they need to do better, not just be pill pusher, or worse, treat us like we are robots, pass judgement instead of truly and accurately assess with some shred of humanity! It MAY be tuff for docs to weed out those looking for easy ride or pills to get high on (no judgment but plz seek help, love/respect urself u deserve it!!❤), but u know how it is.. docs c lots of broken ppl with addiction probs but explain and if u hav tru dire situation AND good Dr, u can get help. If true dire and Dr no listen, move to dif doc! Don't settle for I'll equipped Dr to affect ur life even more!! You deserve and need better!! Go w ur gut if c pattern. Incredible psychiatrist! Dr. Thapar seems to have a way of truly understanding his clients and their symptoms. This adds to his ability to effectively diagnose, treat with precision & achieve desired results. He spends time with his clients, sharing his knowledge and ensuring they understand their diagnoses & treatment. He takes a true interest in his clients & is dedicated to their progress. I have been seeing Dr. Thapar for nearly two years - since I have started seeing him my condition has rapidly worsened. Every time I come in he asks ME what I think we should do(in terms of changing medication). He has very poor listening skills, cuts me off and interrupts me, and does not seem to care about patients. His office receptionists comprise of the least competent & least organized administrative department I have ever seen.

If they tell you that their system is down when you try to make an appointment, even after I was told the date of my last visit which would be impossible to tell if the system was really down right?....This means that they dont want to see you or help you. I've been seeing Dr Thapar for eight years. I was referred to him by my previous med management doctor, whom I saw for more than 28 years. He is extremely well qualified, and has been kind and caring. I am sad to see the questionable bad reviews: one earlier reviewer remarked upon a three month absence of his, without any doctor coverage. This is completely BOGUS. Another reviewer said they had a problem with making appointments. This has never been a problem for me, nor has being left without medications, as another reviewer said. His staff is awful! They rarely answer the phone and I asked for a credit for months and to date have never received it (they charged me a copay when my insurance did no require one). I finally gave up. My pharmacy sends over several requests for refills and they get denied. The Dr is just ok in my opinion, a bit rude, I once was in a session with him and he answered his cell phone mid conversation. I have never opened up to him ever again after that. Horrible. Never answers phone calls or returns voicemails. Office does not cover your name after signing in, everyone has access to your name. Medical records not kept locked away, clearly violates HIPPA. Prescribes controlled substances very haphazardly and doesn't actually listen to you for more than a few minutes before prescribing a medley of pills.

HORRIBLE! Was referred by the hospital and upon my first appointment I was told AFTER I paid that the doctor would be leaving the country for 3 months. Was given only enough meds for one month. Plus he changed all my working meds around, added two more. When I went back after his 3 month vacation, he said he could not treat me because I was on too many meds. THE SAME MEDS HE PUT ME ON. He referred me to a clinic after taking my money. i will be reporting him to the AMA. HORRIBLE!
