Dr. Rami N Payman

Just saw Dr Payman for my wife’s ear. Pretty good guy who talked us through step by step of the surgery she’s having. This practice has great doctors in it. We saw Dr Mitch Kolker and he was amazing and now Dr Payman… highly reccomend

Always listens to my concerns. Keeps me educated about everything that is going on. Great Dr. Also, Julianne is super accommodating and helpful. She's the best

Not a fan of this guy. No bedside manner, very matter-of-fact and quick to pawn me off to the next doctor. Sorry I went there.

Dr.Payman is one of the most compassionate, down-to-earth Doctors I have ever met. He spends quality time and really cares and listens to you as the patient. The office staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this Medical Practice.

I think he could tell I was having anxiety from the moment he stepped in, but quickly his mannerisms settled me down. He listened to my concerns, issues, & information throughly without interrupting. He explained what he was going to do, & why. I felt he gave me a very through exam, & was spot on with diagnosis. He did not rush me, & would not let me leave until my questions/concerns were answered. I am extremely satisfied, & happy that I was able to be seen by him.

Dr. Payman is very attentive and caring. I felt very comfortable with him. I was hoping he would find a more concrete reason for my nosebleeds but perhaps there isn't one.

Dr Payman was extremely knowledgeable. He talked through everything he was going to do before he did it and then again while he was doing it. Answered all of my questions and took his time with me. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would!

Saw Dr. Payman for the first time today and everything I was told was true, not only is he easy to talk to, but did a very thorough exam and took the time to explain my test results etc. He is very caring and very patient oriented. Highly recommend him.

my daughter had abscessed tonsils rather then have her transported from NDH to Vassar...He made the drive up! He was patient took very good care of my daughter. She was a person to him not just payment.

Dr. Paymen did my daughter surgery when she was young he was very caring and my other daughter is having her tonsils out in December by Dr Paymen. I wouldn’t have it any other way as he is a great surgeon and I know he will be there after her surgery if needed.

I drive an hour away to bring my young daughter with Downs to Dr. Payman. He is a spectacular doctor. My brother works in the medical field in Poughkeepsie and he recommended Dr. Payman as the best choice- worth the commute. My personal experience has proven this true. My older daughter had many ear issues and needed numerous surgeries when she was young. Dr. Payman was an adept provider for her. When my younger daughter with Downs was very young and needed ear surgery, Dr. Payman made the wise choice to send us to another ENT with privileges at a pediatric hospital for the surgery. He was right. Due to the Downs, my daughter had respiratory issues and was in the hospital for five days - the proper hospital to care for her. She continued with her follow up care through this doctor affiliated with Yale where she had had the surgery. It was excruciating because the wax needed to be extracted from her ear in order to see her eardrum properly and she was in pain each time. No modern equipment was used during these appointments. Just the naked eye of the doctor or PA and the scraping tool. We switched back to Dr. Payman. Dr. Payman has a video camera/ microscope which he uses to painlessly remove the wax in her ear in order to view her eardrum properly. I am able to watch on a tv screen the exact view of the interior of the ear canal which the doctor is viewing in the microscope. My daughter actually wants to go to "the ear doctor" because nothing has ever hurt her there. Dr. Payman has always been solicitous to help schedule her audiology appointments on the same afternoon as the ear appointments so we need not make a second commute from CT to Poughkeepsie. The audiologist is right in the same office (again, a difference with the specialist from Yale) Every member of the office staff that I have interacted with has been very kind, intelligent, and professional. We arrived 10 min late because of traffic but called to tell them and we were delayed. They told us “no problem”. When we arrived they said it would be 30 min. 40 min later they said it would be another 45 min. No apologies. No attempt to help. Here with two little kids and nobody seemed to care. Just “your fault. You were 10 min late”. It was incredibly frustrating. It’s like a factory in here pushing people in and out. If you’re just a bit late you miss you chance in the factory. I've been taking my daughter to Dr. Payman for hearing issues for several years. He has been her surgeon for putting in hearing tubes. I have always been very happy with his professionalism and bedside manner and how at ease my daughter is with him. I would not ever hesitate to recommend him to family or friends. The only drawback is that scheduling an appointment with him needs to be made months in advance. He's very popular! I guess that's a good thing.
