Rhinoplasty Pollybeak deformity - immediately after my bandage was removed my tip looked larger, upturned, and more bulbous. You know something’s off when your teenager says, “geez mom, I think he made your nose is bigger.” He shortened my septum too much and left me with much more nostril show. This is a common complication with rhinoplasty but Dr. Rice tried to tell me at my follow up visits that this was scar tissue built up at the tip. As I timidly scrolled back on his ipad to my very first photo from the cast removal and showed him the hump (“pollybeak”) was there from the cast removal, he said, “I see that”. That day I went home and noticed the photos of my profile from the first post op had been deleted from my TouchMD account. I’ll let you figure that one out. My journey is finally over and if there’s any advice I could give anyone looking at Dr. Rice and the Esthetics Center, it’s to go to them for basic procedures but to steer clear of structural surgeries. Dr. Rice was always kind and positive with me, but unfortunately this meant he was not forthcoming in the many mistakes made during my rhinoplasty. I had not one but four different complications to my nose job. I ended up with a polybeak deformity, inverted v deformity, deviated septum and difficulty breathing and open roof deformity. I wouldn’t be writing this review if Dr. Rice had simply acknowledged, “Your surgery did not go as intended and it looks like you have several complications that I’d like to refer you to another surgeon to have addressed.” HOWEVER, I will add, the methods Dr. Rice used for Rhinoplasty are what my current surgeon referred to as, “old school”. Dr. Rice deleted photos from my TouchMD account when I tried to show him these issues were there from the start.

Upper Blepharoplasty I initially went into Dr. Rice seeking advice on another treatment and he pointed out my hooded eyes and suggested adding an upper blepharoplasty. I’m undecided on whether I’d do it again knowing what I know now. Pros: My eyes are bigger, bluer, I don’t look tired, only a faint pink line on my lid (he’s great with stitches) and I’ve stopped getting lash extensions to open my eyes. Cons: My eyes look REALLY different. I recall Dr. Rice commenting on the eye procedure that Renee Zellweger had done initially and said it looked dramatic because her eyes were so heavily hooded. I should have taken that as a hint - because just like Zellweger, I looked more like a sibling of mine than myself. My kids still notice the pink line on my eyelids, but a touch of makeup covers it up. Also, one side effect I wasn’t expecting is having my eyebrows be just a smidge lower than before. Dr. Rice may well have saved my life. A few years ago I went to him for an ear appointment and he spotted cancer on my lower jaw line which turned out to be very dangerous. He immediately took action to remove it and I am fine. The beauty of it is you cannot find any scars. he also removed a tumor from my forehead and there is a scar but It is not even noticeable. Dr. Rice preformed surgery on me November 2018, I could not be happier with the results! He explained the procedure clearly, made sure I had realistic expectations and made sure I understood my before and aftercare. I would trust him 100% to do another surgery on me. In-fact, I can't wait!

Dr Rice is an amazing plastic surgeon.. I have had Botox and laser resurfacing tecenrec done.. I'm very pleased with the results! He also explained everything before each procedure in laymen's terms so I knew exactly what to expect..I highly recommend Dr. Rice!

Bought latisse , for eyelash growth, large bottle I believe $150 or $180 was bogus , I still have it, absolutley 100% fake. I called and recieved attitude. Never going back I felt like I was at a car shop where they take you you to private room and do sales pitch on you.

Simply the best. If you're looking for a cosmetic surgeon, there is nobody better in the Sacramento area.

I went with a friend that had a procedure done by Dr Rice. I’m an RN and work in surgery. Dr Rice is awesome. He did a great job with the procedure. My friend is so happy with the results! I plan to have a procedure done by him in the future! Great staff too!! Joyce La Jeunesse RNC

Dr. Rice performed cosmetic surgery on me several years ago, and removed tissue for a biopsy recently. In both cases (which are unrelated) he took time to explain the procedures and to answer my questions. The surgeries were performed with a minimum of pain, and healed well. I am extremely satisfied with him and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Dr. Rice prepared me thoroughly for the surgery I had. He gave me realistic expectations. The pre op was complete and the surgery was without complications. Follow up was very good. I am very happy with the results and would definitely see him again for anything else I may want in the future.
