Sometimes I refrain from leaving feedback because if done to quickly, the result/condition might not be resolved. Sixteen months ago Dr. Detwiler resolved my hemorrhoid issue. Because of the obvious issue, it's bad enough. I'm in a wheelchair and imagine sitting on them all day for over 20 years. Ouch! I called from a referral and was seen the next day in his office. After my wife, his assistant and himself lifted me from my wheelchair to the examining table (I'm not real heavy so I'm sure this isn't a normal occurrence) he did the examination. He briefly stated the obvious and recommended banding should resolve the issue (he did say not always the case). He said he could perform the banding right their and then (again I'm not sure if this was standard practice)? I was delighted and in less than 10 minutes the bands were all attached. I came back in 7-10 days for a follow-up and everything was GOOD. It's still GOOD today! I understand different people have different hemorrhoid locations and issues, but I felt and still today feel absolutely grateful for how quick it was resolved and the blessing to not have any issues 16 months later. Very unprofessional and very rude. I wouldnt recommend him to my worst enemy.

From the emergency room in Placerville, I got an appointment the next day to see Dr. Detwiler. Arrived at the appointed time. Barely had the paperwork filled in and was called back by his assistant. Her check-up and prep was quick. Dr. Detwiler arrived in a couple minutes. He asked a few questions politely about the issue, and did a quick examination. He explained the options and said he could do the procedure now if I was willing. Less than 30 minutes and I was back out the door feeling great.

Dr.Detailed saved my life! He is truly someone God has created to help people suffering from terrible things. Had another doctor worked on me that day, I would have a klegastomy bag. He took an extra 2 1/2 hours to make sure I wouldn't have to live my life with one. Thank you Doctor Detwiler!

Absolutely untrustworthy. Should really retire already and not harm anyone else.

I have literally been on hold for 1 HR and 15 minutes and still waiting. Dialed in on an alternate phone and had two phones on hold. Really.......this is unbelievable. I rated a 1 star as I am trying to find out about an appointment that I was not aware of. This is my first experience and the phone scenario is driving me crazy. Incredibly unprofessional, both in his mannerism and presentation. Overall experience during the short appointment left me feeling violated and disrespected. Not to mention, I do not know how you could take a physician seriously when they don't make their health a priority. On a positive note, everyone else in the office was kind and respectful.
